Bits & Bytes

AMERICAN HISTORY: On February 1, 1942, a new tax went into effect to help finance World War II. Automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles that used public highways had to display the stamp shown above to prove the tax had been paid. The Motor Vehicle Use stamps, which were sold at post offices, were available for one month, six months, or a year at a time.

BORDER: CLICK https://rumble.com/v752s1e-greg-gutfeld-goes-haywire-on-lib-jessica-tarlov-calls-out-absurd-double-sta.html [3:24] to hear Greg Gutfeld absolutely shred Jessica Tarlov. I think he’s absolutely right in every aspect. They caused the problem; they did not care about any of the people who were murdered by the illegals they let in; and they want more of their protesters to die.

EDUCATION: Austin Independent School District let kids out of school, with a police escort, to protest ICE at the Capitol. A witness says he saw adults with badges directing the kids.

Gov. Abbott has directed the Education Commissioner to investigate this saying, “AISD gets taxpayer dollars to teach the subjects required by the state, not to help students skip school to protest. Our schools are for educating our children, not political indoctrination.”

EPIC: President Trump just signed the executive order.

EVERYDAY HEROES: Worth noting … the Marine is a Person of Color, while the umbrella-holder is a Person of Pallor. And they’re in Atlanta. MLK Jr. would be proud.

FREEDOM OF THE PRESS: [11:32] – If this goes to trial, it is going to set important precedents whichever way it turns out. Journalists used to work under the auspices of a print or broadcast news organization that had lawyers telling reporters what they could and could not do. Now, anyone can start a YouTube channel, pick up a mic, and slap on a PRESS badge. The limits of what behaviors are constitutionally protected need to be clarified.

HYPOCRISY: Remember when they gleefully arrested a former President of the United States, declaring that “nobody is above the law”?

IRS: On January 29, President Donald Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Treasury Department over leaks of his confidential tax returns during his first term in office.

LIFE: A commenter on X posted this thought exercise – “There’s a protest outside an abortion clinic. The protesters bust in (as planned) screaming at the women and the clinic has to shut down for the day. Alex Jones is with them. He corners the doctor and interviews him. DOJ charges Jones with violating the FACE Act. Do you have a problem with that?

MELANIA: The new Amazon MGM documentary Melania just had a huge box-office opening for a documentary, earning $8 million in its first week-end. I don’t know what Slate had to say under its bitchy headline; the article is behind a pay wall. As if I’m going to pay to read THAT.

NOTRE DAME: ND hasn’t been Catholic in decades. Thirty years ago, I had a convo with the head of the Theology Department. He told me demons aren’t real. I responded that I had experienced them. He told me I needed psychiatric care.

PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, Ignite a mighty revival in our nation that all who have the heart to know You will repent and believe. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

S&G: At 16, Fox Varian, now 22, was rushed into having both her breasts removed. Varian, who no longer identifies as transgender, said that, right after the surgery, “I immediately had a thought that this was wrong, and it couldn’t be true. Shame. I felt shame. It’s hard to face that you are disfigured for life.”

On January 30, a jury found her doctors guilty of malpractice and awarded her $2 million in damages. At least 28 detransitioner have filed lawsuits to date. Varian’s case was the first to go to trial and the first to win a judgment.

VOTER ID: CLICK https://x.com/Geniustechw/status/2017342059531931829 [:47] to hear The View’s Sonny Hostin claim why a disabled, home bound female with no car such as myself can not possibly be expected to obtain a photo ID. The funny thing is … I don’t need photo id for any of the things listed in the graphic. However, the health care system I use requires me to have one, so despite the fact that my chemical hypersensitivities made it a grueling experience to go to the DMV to get a Non-Driver’s License. I had to do it. I’m thinking maybe voting should rise to that level of importance.

GRAMMY NOTES: They should have told them Steve was a female before the surgery. Spaying a female co$ts a lot more than neutering a male!

We went to the pound once to look for a puppy. No puppies, but there was a gorgeous Russian Blue kitten. The purebred mother’s owner was disgusted that her prize puss had gotten knocked up by some local gigolo, so dumped the off-spring before they were even weaned. Knowing how much spaying costs, we said if the one that looked most like a Russian Blue was male, we’d take him. The guy took a peek and said, “Yup! Male!” So we took “him” home.

Nine months later, “Raphael” had not developed any you know whats, so we took “him” in to be spayed. The moral of the story is … don’t trust the people at the pound. They’ll say ANYTHING to get you to adopt an animal!
