DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, We praise You and we thank You, for by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world. Amen. Alleluia.

AMERICAN HISTORY: On April 12, 1861, the Civil War started when North and South clashed for the first time at Fort Sumter, South Carolina.

BROLLY BROUHAHA: Apparently, some people are spending time being upset about what Trump did with his umbrella. CLICK https://x.com/SaltyGoat17/status/2042648852654624866 [:52]. CLICK https://x.com/ChrisMartzWX/status/2042686822413676654 [:10] to see what Biden did with his.

CALIFORNICATION: Democrats are moving a bill through the state Legislature that, if enacted into law, will expand access to publicly funded attorneys for individuals facing immigration proceedings in California. IOW, citizen taxpayers will get to pay for illegals to have lawyers.
CATHOLIC: [5:08] – Our roots in this nation.

FIRST LADY: Melania Trump is fluent in her native language, Slovenian, and in English, although she does have a heavy accent. In addition, she has a good understanding of Serbian and can carry on conversations in French, German, and Italian.
Shall we now recall Barack Obama calling military medical personnel “CORPSE men” not once, but three times in the same speech? Or Jill Biden mangling the famous United Farm Workers motto “Si se puede”? Or, I know, let’s review all the times Joe Biden said something nobody could even understand?

FLORIDA: CLICK https://x.com/GMA/status/2041838021729722583 [1:47] to hear about a school bus driver who now faces multiple charges for recklessly endangering a bus load of kids. When I drove a school bus, we had to stop before every train track crossing, open the doors and listen before deciding if it was safe to cross.
GNOSTICISM and the WOKE RIGHT: In the first hour, Dr. Steve Turley provides a very interesting (to me) analysis of what he sees behind the new anti-Trumpism of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owen, Megyn Kelly, and Alex Jones. He refers to “a pattern of permanent grievance,” which is what I believe underlies Marjorie Taylor Greene’s revolt against MAGA. These people made their chops being the self-righteous voices of the persecuted conservative minority. But MAGA isn’t the minority any more and, somehow, these people can’t be happy about it.
Dr. Patrick Moore says the same thing happened with Greenpeace, the organization he helped found and now condemns. But after they accomplished their goals to convince humans that polluting the environment was bad and they should stop murdering whales, the self-righteous activists in Greenpeace couldn’t just take the win and go home happy. The same is true of angry, self-righteous feminists.
In short, for some people, it’s not about the causes, it’s about the shrieking. IMO, it boils down to the facts that sin is easy and anger is habit forming.

LYING LIARS: ABC reports, “Immigrant advocates in North Carolina are calling for justice after they say two children and their parents were swiftly deported to Honduras without due process.”
Homeland Security reports, “This illegal alien family unit was issued a final order of removal by a judge after they failed to show up for their immigration hearing. They were returned to their home country of Honduras together. They received full due process and had no pending asylum claims or immigration applications.”

MEDIA: CLICK https://x.com/townhallcom/status/2041885215929332002 [:49] to hear Lawrence O’Donnell gasp at the fact that Pete Hegseth said, “We leave no man behind.”

PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, In 1861, our nation went to war with itself, because we could not find a peaceful solution to our differences. Please grant us the graces we need to not do that again. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

GRAMMY NOTES: The Mascots left early this morning. We had a wonderful visit. We are exhausted.
