This reminds me of the gas crisis back in the 70s, when we had odd-even gas lines, etc. I worked in a building that had gas heat. We were told we could stay home if we wanted, but we’d get no pay. TEXAS: The Texas Board of Education has approved a new school reading list that includes stories from the Bible. Some call this “adding religion” to classrooms. IMO, it was a crime against Western Civilization that the Bible was ever excluded.

VENEZUELA: A statue of Our Lady and the Child Jesus remained untouched by the double earthquakes that devastated Caracas.

GRAMMY NOTES: St. Alphonsus Liguori, who is known for having suffered from arthritis, is the patron saint of joint pain.

    I disagree with the last one. By far the most unrealistic part of Toy Story 3 is Mom ordering Andy to get everything out of his bedroom before he leaves for college. Andy is instructed to strip the room bare and put everything he doesn’t intend to take with him to college either in the attic or in the garbage. And Andy’s little sister Molly gloats over the fact that as soon as Andy leaves for college, his erstwhile bedroom will become hers. Do Mom and Molly honestly think that Andy is leaving for good and will never come home again, ever? Where do they expect him to sleep during Christmas break and spring break and summer vacation? What kind of idiots are they anyway?
