GEORGIA: Colin Gray, the father of the Apalachee High School shooter, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, making the first time in the state of Georgia that a parent of a school shooter was held accountable. From the news story, it sounds justified. Gray was warned in May 2023 about his teenager’s dangerous mental state after the FBI received tips about online school-shooting threats. Gray had every reason to know his son was dangerous, since his bedroom decor featured a photo of the Parkland shooter. Instead of getting the kid into counseling, he gave him a gun for Christmas. He even included the ammo. And, on Sept. 4, 2024, the boy used his father’s gift to kill four people – two students and two teachers – at his school.
