GRAMMY NOTES: For the record, not every mask is a political statement. I have been wearing N95s as needed for chemical sensitivities since the mid-1980s. For a brief moment at the beginning of the lockdown, I thought, “Oh good! People will stop staring at my mask!” But then the PPE shortage happened, so I was embarrassed to go out lest someone thing the mask I bought long before COVID hit was somehow preventing a heroic healthcare worker from having one. A horrible staff member shouted at me for being upset and confused, which was actually a symptom of my problem. The head nurse begged me to understand that she was so short-handed, she had to keep the witch on staff. Then, after I survived my medical crisis, y’all decided the mask that I still need means I’m a brain-dead LWW. ::sigh::
