ROBERT KENNEDY JR: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. he is no longer running for president. He has also officially endorsed former President Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
He cites free speech, the war in Ukraine, and what he described as “the war on our children” for both his initial decision to leave the Democratic Party and run as an Independent and also his decision to support Trump’s candidacy.
He said the Democratic Party used to be “the party of labor, of the working class … the party of government transparency and the champion of the environment. Our party was the bulwark against big money interests and corporate power.” But now it has become “the Party of War, Censorship, Corruption, Big Pharma, Big Tech, Big Ag, and big money.”
He also formally announced that he will partner with President Trump’s administration to fight against Big Pharma.

Bishop James Johnston of the Missouri Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph has announced the results of a medical examination of the body of Benedictine Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster. Experts found no signs of decomposition in the body! In addition, there was found nothing abnormal in the soil that could have prevented the body’s decomposition.
Sister Wilhelmina died on May 29, 2019 and was buried in a plain wooden box. Jack Klein, owner of Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Gower, Missouri, who was present at Sister Wilhelmina’s burial and issued her death certificate, confirms she was not embalmed and that the wood coffin was not placed into any outer burial container. After four years, her body should have decomposed, possibly down to the bones. Instead, when her body was exhumed (so it could be reburied in a more fitting place), it was found to not only be intact, but to also have no odor.
Sister Wilhelmina entered religious life after graduating valedictorian of her high school. After the Second Vatican Council, her order, like many, chose to stop wearing a traditional habit. When Sister Wilhelmina could not convince the order to return to the habit, she founded a new order – the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles – with the help of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, a priestly society dedicated to the traditional Latin Mass.
Given the Vatican’s attempts in recent years to obliterate the Latin Mass, I can’t help seeing this miracle as a direct message to Pope Francis. Under Pope Benedict XVI, any Catholic priest could celebrate Mass using the rubrics of the Tridentine, or pre-Vatican II liturgy. The basic differences between the ordinary form of the Mass (Vatican II form, which can be celebrated in any language, including Latin) and the extraordinary form of the Mass (Tridentine) are in the focus of the rites.
In the extraordinary form, the priest faces east, with his back to the people, and all the prayers (which date back to the 16th century) are said in Latin. Responses are spoken by altar servers who must be male. In some cases, altar servers are “acolytes”, young men who have received a special blessing, because they intend to become priests. The focus here is on worship of the Holy God. The altar is a table of bloodless sacrifice. Everybody faces God and all prayers are directed to Him. The priest and altar servers are separated from the congregation by an altar rail, Holy Communion is received directly on the tongue while kneeling, and many of the women wear mantillas (veils) on their heads.
In the ordinary form, the priest faces the congregation and the people participate in the prayers, which were adapted at Vatican II and are usually in the local, or vernacular, language. If there is a community of non-native believers and a priest who speaks their language, priests are free to celebrate in their native language. The focus here is less on pure worship and more on community celebration in the spirit of the Last Supper. Holy Communion is received into the hands, though if you stick your tongue out, the priest will almost always oblige. The dress tends to be more casual and girls can serve at the altar.
In the summer of 2021, Pope Francis began his assault on the extraordinary form, which he sees as promoting schism within what is supposed to be a universal church. There was a lot of pushback from Catholics who are attached to the extraordinary form, but instead of backing down, in 2023, he doubled down with even more restrictions. I cannot help but see a direct connection between Sr. Wilhelmina’s commitment to the Tridentine Mass, the date of her death, the dates of Pope Francis’ attempts to squash the traditional liturgy, and the date of the exhumation and discovery that God had miraculously preserved her body incorrupt.

BORDER: In the middle of the DNC (when all news media is focused on the convention), the Biden-Harris Department of Homeland Security released a report admitting that nearly 300,000 smuggled children are now missing — likely sold into sex and labor trafficking. That’s roughly the population of Pittsburgh.
CLIMATE CHANGE: A paper entitled “Net Zero Averted Temperature Increase” was published in CO2 Coalition in June. In it, the authors report that “eliminating U.S. CO2 emissions by the year 2050 would avoid a temperature increase of 0.0084 degrees Celsius.” On the Fahrenheit scale, the value of averted warming is 0.015° F.
N.b., The smallest temperature change humans can detect without a thermometer is 0.02° C, but this is only for pulses applied to the most sensitive part of the body and altered over short periods of time. If temperature changes are slowed down to .05° C per minute, a person can be unaware of the change until it hits 4-5° C.
So, you do the math. Will a temperature change of .0084° C over a span of 26 years cause global catastrophe?

JOBS: Once a year, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reviews its jobs reports and published revised, more accurate numbers. The latest revision, covering April 2023 to March 2024, reduced the number of new jobs by 818,000, or 30 percent of the total. That’s a heckabig margin of error!
SHROUD of TURIN: A new scientific study using wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) to measure the age of the flax has proven that it matches other linens from Israel that are known to date back to the first century.
STOLEN VALOR: The Dems are making a big deal about the handful of years that Tim Walz was an assistant coach for the Mankato West high school football team. After a string of losses, the team won the state championship in 1999. The head coach’s name was Rick Sutton. The Dems, the media, Walz himself, and some of his former suck-up players are saying Walz was the reason they won. Not Sutton. Not any extraordinary talent that happened to replace previous lesser players who had been graduated.
This is not a new meme for Walz. After being elected to the U.S. House in 2006, he said he was “absolutely convinced” his success at the polls was “because [I] won that state championship” in 1999.
I guess the takeaway from this is … if you’re worried Kamala won’t do a good job, you can rest assured Coach Walz will make sure their administration wins every game. Or something.

CANCER: A study entitled “Differences in cancer rates among adults born between 1920 and 1990 in the USA: an analysis of population-based cancer registry data” was recently published in The Lancet. In it, researchers report comparing incidence data for 34 types of cancer and mortality data for 25 types of cancer, then calculated ratios based on birth dates, separated by 5 year intervals, from 1920 to 1990.
They found that the incidence for 17 types of cancer were two-to-three times higher in the 1990 birth cohort than in the 1955 birth cohort, including 9 that had been on the decline. Some researchers point to lifestyle, poverty and environmental factors as potential causes for the uptick in cancers, while others suggest the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines may be to blame for the rise in “turbo cancers.”

CHICOMS: For many years, my brother (an expert in international hotel and tourism) hosted student groups from China for 2 week summer classes at Cornell. They always wanted to see our stores.
He would take them to one after another, but they didn’t believe they were stores where ordinary Americans (who they had been told since childhood were all poor and oppressed by their evil capitalist government). Surely, these were stores only for the elites!
So he would say, “We’ll have the bus just drive around. YOU point out any stores you like and we’ll go to them.”
They could NOT get over how jam-packed with STUFF and FOODS our stores are. Or how low the prices were. Imagine a grocery store where every kind of produce is not only fresh, but literally PILED high.
My brother lived in Beijing for a year. He said he had to stand in multiple long lines to get ingredients for an omelet. One line for eggs, another for green peppers, another for onions. And no guarantee when you got to the front there would be any left to buy.
He said every summer was the same … the biggest problem they had when the groups were packing to go home was getting all the things they’d bought on to the plane. He described folded lawn chairs bungee corded to blankets as an example … things they couldn’t get at all or not at prices they could afford.

CHINAMAN WALZ: On August 16, 2024, Chairman James Comer, announced the House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into Minnesota Governor Timothy Walz’s longstanding connections to Chinese Communist Party entities and officials.
Mr. Walz has visited China 30 times, served as a fellow at a Chinese institution that maintains a devotion to the CCP, and spoke alongside the President of a Chinese organization the State Department exposed as a CCP effort to influence and co-opt local leaders.
Comer noted in his letter that the investigation is thoroughly justified given that the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force “investigates exactly the kind of activity that has since come to light about Governor Walz.”
GEORGE FLOYD RIOTS: In May of 2020, a drug-addicted felon with untreated high blood pressure died while in Minneapolis, Minnesota, police custody. From what I’ve read, the man was dying before the cops got there, but the Left fanned the flames of their “cops are racist murderers” narrative and inspired massive riots across the country.
They were especially bad in Minneapolis, whose governor, Tim Walz, is now running for Vice President. His actions during that summer are now under new scrutiny. He has been accused of delaying the deployment of the National Guard, of failing to coordinate with police, and of allowing his then-19-year-old daughter, Hope, access to confidential information about law enforcement’s plans — which she then tried to share with the protesters.
Walz’s wife, Gwen, once reported that she kept the windows open as long as she could so she could smell the burning tires. “I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening,” she added.
Walz’s opponent, J.D. Vance, said, “The closest Tim Walz has ever come to combat, even though he says he carried a weapon of war, is when he let rioters burn Minneapolis to the ground a few years ago.”
GEORGIA: The Georgia Election Board has voted to require election workers to compare the total number of ballots cast with the total number of unique voter ID numbers in the system. If discrepancies are found in any precinct, the counties are required to withhold certification of the election results until the suspected fraud is fully investigated and resolved.
HYPOCRISY: The Biden-Harris administration is opposed to “burdensome” and “unnecessary” ID checks for voters and migrants … but not for people who want to get past the security perimeter around the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Those people have to have photo ID. Chicagoans who live in the “areas around the United Center and McCormick Place” where roads are closed for the convention “will still be able to go in and out of their homes” but they are only “allowed guests as long as those guests have photo ID.” Clearly, their personal security matters to them. Ours? Not so much.
SWAN SONG: Biden’s speech on Monday night at the Democratic National Convention was due to start at 9:50 p.m. Central. However, his warm-up speakers, including Hillary Clinton and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), yapped on so long that Joe’s speech got pushed out of prime time. It was well after midnight on the East Coast when he wrapped up. So, it was kinda like his campaign for a second term.

I went to Europe when I was 11 with Uncle Tom and Mither, which was my first time behind the Iron Curtain. We went to Budapest, Hungary. My second trip was to the U.S.S.R. with a high school sponsored tour in April of 1972. I was not quite 18 years old. We visited Helsinki, Leningrad, and Moscow.
I was a senior in high school and it was spring break. We were in Helsinki for Western Easter, which was on April 2. Then we were in Moscow for Orthodox Easter, which was April 9. THE most amazing thing happened on that last night in Moscow. Our hotel, Metropol, was and is very close to Red Square.
It was our last night and some of us girls decided to take one last stroll around Red Square before bed to see St. Basil’s lit up at night. Sadly, the interior was under renovation in 1972, so we never got to see any of the inside.
We made a loop from the gate down to the cathedral, then back to the gate. That whole dark gray area on the satellite photo is paved. It is surrounded by buildings and walls except at the two ends.
We went past Lenin’s tomb, which is even creepier at night than it is during the day!
We went past GUM (goom) department store, which is absolutely ginormous! Somewhere in the middle of Red Square, two Russian guys used signs to invite us to come home with them to “sleep.” Yeah, no thanks!
As we were walking out of Red Square and back to the Metropol, we looked across the park to the left and saw that the windows of a multi-story building were lit up with a perfect Sign of the Cross! It could not have been an accident. I have often wondered if whoever did that got in trouble for celebrating Easter right across from Red Square, which was basically a monument to godless Communism!
P.S. Under the Soviet government, St. Basil’s was used as a museum. Religious services were not permitted until 1991 when the Soviet Union fell.

See Matthew 24. Jesus Himself taught that He will come in the clouds and his angels will gather His elect. “One will be taken, another will be left.“
This is not the same End Time event as Final Judgment, when all will be called before the throne and He will separate them, sheep and goats.
The Rapture will happen. The problem some have is with being obsessed with when it will happen. We should be living every day as if it is our last.
LAUGHING STOCK MEDIA: On Monday, CNN’s Kaitlan Collins appeared on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. At one point,Colbert prefaced a question with, “I know you guys are objective over there, that you just report the news as it is.” He was stunned when the audience laughed and said, “No, CNN makes a—” while Collins asked, “Is that supposed to be a laugh line?” Colbert responded, “It wasn’t supposed to be, but I guess it is.”

Physicians have no right or need to know our political leanings, so beware if yours asks. – A female physician who lives in the northwest told a colleague that she often deliberately misdiagnoses right-wingers, then gives them the wrong treatment. Also, there is an activist group called Vote-ER that is headed up by a Harris fan. The docs who belong not only ask patients about political leanings, but even have a special app to help illegal aliens register to vote.
GRAMMY NOTES: [16:25] – I have a mini guillotine cutter that I use all the time. It had a spot where it tended to bend, rather than cut. I watched this video and was able to fix the bad spot with a metal nail file! Saved me $$. Then I put the sharpeners she recommends in my Amazon cart, cuz my big guillotine is dull. Replacing it would cost a LOT more than those files will.
