Today I was asked if I am any good with phones by an elderly man as he was trying to open a picture message that his granddaughter had sent.

After putting Sienna in her pram, I took a look at his phone which was a really old Nokia. As he didn’t have a smart phone, I told him that he wouldn’t be able to view it.

He was gutted and went on to tell me that it was a photo of his granddaughter and her new baby who he hadn’t seen yet as they live in Buxton.

So I forwarded the message to my phone and eventually managed to open the picture.

He was so emotional seeing his great granddaughter for the first time and you could see his love for them both through his teary eyes.

The man insisted on giving me £20 to treat my daughter to a toy as a thank you for helping him which I insisted I didn’t want, but he was having none of it.

So I asked him to wait there and I went to boots and printed the photo for him and ended up buying a frame for it too.

When I returned with the framed photo, he was so happy, literally overwhelmed.

This just made my day to make someone so happy. (via Serena Mansey)

Today is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. It’s also the fourth decade in the Glorious Mysteries and a particular favorite of mine.

To my way of thinking (NOT Catholic doctrine!!), Jesus’ Resurrection is our model for what will happen when the dead rise, while Mary’s Assumption is our model for what will happen when those who are alive in Christ get caught up to be with Him (aka, the Rapture).

I’ve heard Catholics claim that “we” don’t believe in the Rapture, but the RCC actually has no teaching on the Rapture. Personally, I don’t see any other explanation for the following:

“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” Matt 24:30-31

N.b., He will appear in heaven and the angels will gather the elect only.

A bit later, He taught, “at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be out in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken, and one will be left.” ~Matt 24:39-41

N.b., only the elect will be taken.

Some say this is the Final Judgment, but of that He said, “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.” Matt 25:31-33

N.b., He will appear on his throne with everyone gathered before him, then He will separate the sheep (elect) from the goats (damned).

BTW, as for the question of whether Mary died before she was Assumed, body and soul into Heaven –In the Middle East, the roofs of the houses are flat and used as porches. On hot nights, everyone sleeps up there where it’s cooler. I think at least one person woke up and saw Mary be taken up, but no one had any reason to know if her earthly body had died first. But, she told the seers at Medjugorje that she never died.

N.b., in the Eastern church, they celebrate what they call the Dormition of Mary. Dormition means sleep.

Musk claimed the combined views over multiple platforms hit 1 billion. Even if Musk exaggerated the numbers ten-fold, at least 100 million people listened to this unscripted chat. That is far more than half the 161.42 million registered voters! And they all know how bad the Biden-Harris economy is!

The Inflation Reduction Act provided the IRS with $80 billion in additional funding, which they used to hire 87,000 new IRS agents. They promised they would only be going after people making $400K per year or more. BUT … the IRS initiated the tax on tips effort months BEFORE the vote!

FREUDIAN SLIP: On Sunday, Biden was asked if there will be a peaceful transfer of power in January. He said (truthfully) “If Trump wins, no.” Then, he remembered the Dem Talking Point and said, “I mean, if Trump loses.”

He was right the first time. When our guy was driven out of office by a fake election, none of the pro-Trump protesters brought weapons, including the one who was shot and killed by the same police who had moved the barriers, opened the doors, and invited protesters inside the Capitol Building.

When our guy was arrested and put on trial multiple times on bogus charges, there were protests, but no riots. After Dems tried to sink his candidacy with a humiliating mug shot, we responded by putting it on our coffee mugs and t-shirts.

And, most telling of all, when they shot at him, the only person who died was the shooter. We didn’t protest. We didn’t riot. We didn’t even go around telling our people to “get in their faces and let them know they are not welcome here.”

WHO IS POTUS? – The link below presents new evidence that Joe Biden is in worse shape than even we have suspected.
