I hope you all had a fine weekend.   Found this posted to my news feed, from my highly liberal cousin:

I am a public employee. I am not the problem. Wall Street made billions, crashed the economy, ruined lives and got bailed out. Average Americans followed the rules and got thrown to the wolves. Teachers, librarians, police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and others are NOT the enemy. We live here, pay taxes, work hard, and contribute to the health of the community. If you are a public employee, please re-post.

Sigh.  You may not be the enemy, but asking you to pay for a portion of your retirement does not make us the enemy, either, bucko.

It’s the weekend! Woot! Yesterday was in the 60’s and it felt so nice here.

In case you missed it, looks like Missouri’s welfare programs are either funding vacations or scams. Nice. And people wonder why we think funding could be cut across the board?

Running around frantically….I’m here!  So sorry I’m late with the thread, we had a date night last night and it completely threw off my routine!   The carbs plus wine combo proved too much for my feeble mind and I forgot to schedule the Open Thread.  I’ll see if I can repost the Grudge Report over here.  My apologies!

I’m going to take it easy this morning while my daughter is still with grandma.  I love mornings like this!

It’s the second day of March.  Spring should be around the corner, right?  Ting’s post yesterday gave me hope  – and also a case of jealousy.  I don’t know where you live, Ting, but can I come live with you?  Or…do you want to come here and make my garden look like yours?  Pretty please?

So….besides garden envy, not much going on around here.  What’s going on in your neighborhood?

Anyone watch the Oscars last night? I didn’t! Apparently some guy got up after winning an award and thanked his union crew for their work on his movie. Then he went backstage and “expressed outrage” at Governor Walker.  Nice.  Does this guy even get that there is a difference between public and private sectors, and why unions in the public sectors are a bad thing for taxpayers? Blech. Annoying.

For the love of Pete I should not be up right now, but as I find myself to be, I decided that I might as well make myself useful and get this thread going.  Insomnia, you are my constant companion.   

We have had a few friends drop in, please do stop by yesterday’s thread and give them a warm welcome.
