Whenever you read the word “bipartisan”, it means one thing and one thing only. The republicans abandoned their principles and the democrats got everything they wanted. Every time. I can’t recall a compromise ever working the other way. This is on the criminal reform law which will release thousands of non-violent felons so they can all vote democrat.

The 87-to-12 bipartisan vote to advance the First Step Act included every Democrat and all but 12 Republicans, offering a comprehensive legislative advancement for an unlikely coalition of supporters from across the political spectrum, ranging from the American Civil Liberties Union to the Koch brothers and the American Conservative Union. The bill, which aims to reduce the human and financial cost of mass incarceration, now needs to be approved by the House, which voted for a different version of the legislation earlier this year. House leaders have pledged to get this bill passed this week and President Trump has committed to signing it.

Republican Never-Trump Women’s PAC is Funded By Three Democrat Billionaires

Republican Women for Progress is founded by Jennifer Lim and Meghan Milloy — anti-Trump women who have previously made headlines for starting a group called “Republican Women for Hillary” and opposing the Supreme Court nomination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

According to a report from the Washington Free Beacon, Federal Election Commission filings show that the PAC is being bankrolled by a $200,000 donation from Kathryn Murdoch, the liberal daughter-in-law of media mogul Rupert Murdoch, a $400,000 donation from Daniel Tierney, the president of Wicklow Capital and major Democratic Party donor, and a $400,000 donation from Democrat Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn.

Stephen Miller: Trump “Absolutely” Willing To A Partial Shut Down Government Over Border Wall

All the important programs have already been funded. They’re arguing over their pet pork gluttony.

“If it comes to it, absolutely. This is a very fundamental issue,” Miller said Sunday on “Face the Nation” when asked whether Mr. Trump is willing to allow a shutdown. Miller said Democrats, who oppose the president’s requested $5 billion for wall funding, must decide “whether they want to fight for America’s working class, or promote illegal immigration.”

“At stake is the question of whether or not the United States remains a sovereign country,” he said.

The federal government will partially shut down after Dec. 21, days before Christmas, if the House and Senate fail to approve new spending bills or if Mr. Trump refuses to sign them into law. The president said last week he would be “proud” to shut down the government over border security and declared he would take full responsibility for any shutdown.

Boys can have periods too, children to be taught in latest victory for transgender campaigners

The new advice follows a council report which said: “Trans boys and men and non-binary people may have periods”, adding that “menstruation must be inclusive of all genders”.

Bins used for menstruation products will be provided in all toilets for children, according to the report.

It also calls for transgender students and pupils to be provided with additional support from a school nurse if needed.

The report recommends that “language and learning about periods is inclusive of all genders, cultures, faiths and sexual orientations. For example; ‘girls and women and others who have periods’.”

New CNN Poll Dem 2020: Biden Tops List with 30%

Biden and Occasional-Cortex: An old fool and a young fool.

A new poll conducted by CNN and SSRS shows former Vice President Joe Biden leading with 30% of the vote. The survey asked Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents their picks.

The poll has Biden easily leading among a field of 20 potential candidates, followed by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke who jumps up to 9%.

He is followed by Spartacus at 5%.

Joy Reid, guests salivate … fantasize about Ivanka’s arrest: ‘To get to Trump, you go after his kids’

MSNBC’s race-baiting pundit, Joy Reid, and her guest Elie Mystal openly salivated about the prospect of Ivanka Trump going to jail during a bizarre segment where they said the best way to get at President Trump is to go after his children.

Mystal invoked the film “The Firm” to fantasize about how Ivanka could end up behind bars.

“Do you remember in ‘The Firm,’ how Tom Cruise brings down the entire mob on overbilling?” Mystal asked. “What we have here is Ivanka Trump, as part of the Trump organization, overbilling the inaugural committee. That could be it right there.”

Mystal said it would utterly destroy President Trump if anything happened to Ivanka.

“This is the first time that we have Ivanka — which is like the only kid he likes — in the crosshairs.”

Sen. Collins: I Believe The ACA’s ‘Unconstitutional’ Ruling Will Be Overturned

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Jake Tapper on Sunday. The two discussed a variety of topics, one of which was the latest ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Reed O’Connor in Texas that deemed the Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as Obamacare, as unconstitutional.

According to Collins, she believes that the judge’s decision will be overturned on an appeal. Specifically, Collins stated that there’s widespread support for covering people with pre-existing conditions.

In a bold move to address its affordable-housing crisis and confront a history of racist housing practices, Minneapolis has decided to eliminate single-family zoning, a classification that has long perpetuated segregation.

The Minneapolis City Council voted last Friday to get rid of the category and instead allow residential structures with up to three dwelling units — like duplexes and triplexes — in every neighborhood. Minneapolis is believed to be the first major city in the United States to approve such a change citywide.
In Minneapolis, the decision came as part of a sweeping plan to propel the city into the future by addressing issues like housing, racial equity and climate change. The plan, called Minneapolis 2040, drew thousands of public comments, “Don’t Bulldoze Our Neighborhoods” yard signs and a last-minute lawsuit, but ultimately passed on a 12-1 vote.

The grim holiday tradition of counting Baltimore’s murder victims

Yesterday, the Baltimore Police Department confirmed that another body dropped on the streets of Charm City had brought their 2018 murder total to 297. The unnamed victim was a known gang member, described by police as “a former Public Enemy No. 1” and had been acquitted of a firebombing over the summer. Given the city’s recent history, the odds of there not being at least three more killings over the next sixteen days are not encouraging, to put it mildly.
But as the funerals continue, residents of Baltimore should remember one thing. Their own elected representatives have continually voted against tougher sentencing for gun crimes and other measures which might have helped stem the violence. In the end, the only people who can save Baltimore are the voters who go to the polls each year.
