“I didn’t join”

A couple of Facebook photos have gone viral. They purport to be of active duty military members anonymously protesting Obama’s plan for military action in Syria. If you haven’t seen them or the condemnation of them that some have expressed, then skip this.

This issue hits too close to home for me and I just need to have my say and then go back to praying for my kids.

The Oath of Enlistment says,

“I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic” and “I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.”

Obama isn’t talking about what Bush wanted in Iraq, which was to depose a brutal dictator who used WMDs on his own people and then stay to help the Iraqi people build a free (from al-Qaeda etc.) and democratic nation. Obama appears to want to send our military into Syria on behalf of the same extremist Muslim forces that perpetrated 9/11.

The Oath specifies a commitment to fight America’s enemies, not assist them.

2007 to 2013 Never mind

Obama has also been blatting about ordering our military into a conflict without congressional approval, which is illegal. He did it with Libya and suffered no consequences, so why shouldn’t we expect he could and would do it again? He called our armed forces “my military”, after all.

It’s not as simple as “shut up and serve.” The UCMJ makes every soldier personally responsible for refusing to follow an ILLEGAL order.

God help our troops who may very well be faced with the dilemma that once faced so many good Germans after an evil man named Adolf Hitler came to power.

Whistle blower says Benghazi coverup more serious than we thought

We already knew about the illegal and immoral stand down orders that came from the White House. And we recently heard that the CIA was using their Benghazi facility to illegally ship missiles to the Syrian rebels.

Now we’re hearing the most disturbing thing of all. During the Benghazi raid, al-Qaeda stole 400 surface-to-air missiles (SAM) from the CIA facility. A SAM is a heat-seeking, shoulder-launched weapon that a single, mobile, ground-based warrior can use to shoot down an airplane.

A. What I said…is that core Al Qaeda is on its heels…but what I also said is that AQ and other regional groups had metastasized.

IOW, the core al Qaeda is decimated and on its heels, but the rest of al Qaeda has gotten way worse. Oooooooooookay.

There is good reason to believe that Barack Obama himself is responsible for the “Blame The Video” Benghazi cover-up.

Between mid-day of Friday, September 14 through mid-day of Saturday, September 15, Obama’s people and Clinton’s people shot emails back and forth, working out just how to remove all mention of Islamic terrorism from the CIA’s talking points.

On Sunday morning, September 16, 2012, Obama’s U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice appeared on all the major television stations swearing it was all about the YouTube video.

Why would Clinton and Obama collaborate in an absurd and elaborate lie?

Obama was running for reelection and election day was 56 days after the Benghazi attack … plenty of time for a scandal to develop enough to sink his chances, not enough time for said scandal to fade or be overshadowed by other hot topics.

Clinton was positioning herself for the 2016 presidential campaign and needed Obama to win so she would not be running against an incumbent Republican.

Together, Obama and Clinton had been the architects of the American foreign policy of empowering Muslims because they only don’t like us because Bush was such a bad guy. See, if we would be EXTRA NICE to them, they would obviously return the favor and be EXTRA NICE to us.

Thus, when Nidal Hassan shouted, “Allahu Akbar” before opening fire on his co-workers at Fort Hood, the Obama narrative demanded it be classified as nothing more than “workplace violence.”

That Obama Narrative was that Hassan was just really upset about all the sad stories his PTSD patients told him about all the sucky things that happened to them while fighting Bush’s Stupid War. Hassan had never seen combat, but you know … he was just THAT compassionate. And it totally follows that, being a real sensitive guy and loving his military patients so deeply, he would totally deal with his angst by murdering fellow military personnel. Right?

So when more than 100 guys known to be affiliated with al-Qaeda attacked America (a U.S. consulate is U.S. soil) wearing the Afghan-style tunics favored by Islamic militants and armed with hand grenades, assault rifles, mortars, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), heavy machine guns and artillery mounted on gun trucks, it HAD to be blamed on Racist Right-Wing Intolerant Bush Style Islamophobia.

It was even more important, so close to the 2012 election, that the Obama-Clinton “We’re Not Big Meanies Like Bush” foreign policy be perceived as having succeeded. Whoever among them located that pathetic YouTube video deserved a raise. From what I heard, it had been viewed all of 300 times before it got blamed for having set off an international incident.

I was surprised in the Krauthammer video that the ever-effusive Obama-phile Juan Williams freely admitted Obama is a flaming hypocrite on this issue!

Of course, he then praised Obama’s tough leadership. Par for the course, right? “Do whatever it takes to get elected” is Commandment One in the Democrat play book.

The New York Times broke the ‘kill list’ story which reveals that Our Fearless Leader, Barack “I got bin Laden” Obama, has been taking a very hands on, tough guy approach to the whole “keeping America safe” thing.

In fact, Barack is personally overseeing the shadow war with Al Qaeda and making those Big Tough Decisions about who of the world’s most wanted terrorists should be assassinated. Don’t you feel safer now? Don’t you just really want to vote him into a second term?

Tough Guy Obama prefers ordering “kill” over “capture” … maybe because dead terrorists don’t cause messy political problems by hiring whiney liberal lawyers from their cells at Gitmo.

Obama did, after all, rant at length about how eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil Bush was for Torturing Detainees At Gitmo (never mind Nancy Pelosi herself was one of the CONGRESSIONAL leaders who specifically approved all 3 waterboardings).

Obama also swore left, right and center that He Would Close Gitmo No Matter What … except he didn’t. But that was 2008, when he was the Messiah of Hope, Change and Moral Superiority.

Never mind that dead terrorists ALSO don’t give us any intel about who their buddies are or what evil plots they might be hatching. Obama’s got to run a campaign and his first term record sucks. What else can he run on besides, “I killed bin Laden”?

I agree with The Kraut that this story was deliberately leaked to take Obama’s Tough on Terror meme to a new level … plus to get the spotlight back on HIM and off those goofball SEALS who went and complained they didn’t like being used in his campaign ads.

And it’s the Times for crying out loud. Of course it says that Teh Won is only Tough in a GOOD way …. NOT like that bloodthirsty bastard, the Eeeevil Cowboy Bushitler.

Never mind that Teh Won — the President Formerly Known as a Lawyer who once insisted that military detainees be Mirandized —  has now gone and ordered the assassination-by-drone (minus trial by jury) of an American citizen (a decision he told colleagues was “an easy one”). Civil rights violations? Nothing to see here. Keep on moving.

The Grey Lady reassures us that Barack is nothing like the Evil George Bush! He totally “rejected the Bush administration’s false choice between our safety and our ideals” by insisting the CIA be way more careful about Avoiding Civilian Casualties!

Never mind that they are apparently avoiding “civilian” casualties by more or less counting everybody inside the strike zone as a combatant, which reminds me of what Clinton did to improve his unemployment numbers by creating the “discouraged workers” category into which he could shovel the long-term unemployed.

I’m kinda wondering something here. Who exactly is supposed to be impressed by this thing that wasn’t already in the tank for Obama anyway. Anyone?
