Marriage: It’s not in the Constitution

Marriage It's not in the Constitution

I did not know that the government didn’t used to have diddly to do with marriage! It was racist Democrats who invented marriage licenses as a means to prevent blacks and whites from marrying. Now anti-Christian Democrats are using it to put Christians out of business. These three guys explain why government shouldn’t be in the marriage business, period.

Barack Obama AND Ted Cruz are natural-born citizens

Ted Cruz is just as eligible as Barack Obama ever was. Their mothers were American citizens; their fathers (of record*) were foreigners.

Cruz born in Canada

“The Constitution directly addresses the minimum qualifications necessary to serve as President. In addition to requiring thirty-five years of age and fourteen years of residency, the Constitution limits the presidency to “a natural born Citizen.”1. U.S. Const. art. II, § 1, cl. 5. All the sources routinely used to interpret the Constitution confirm that the phrase “natural born Citizen” has a specific meaning: namely, someone who was a U.S. citizen at birth with no need to go through a naturalization proceeding at some later time. And Congress has made equally clear from the time of the framing of the Constitution to the current day that, subject to certain residency requirements on the parents, someone born to a U.S. citizen parent generally becomes a U.S. citizen without regard to whether the birth takes place in Canada, the Canal Zone, or the continental United States.”

*My “birther” issues center on what I believe is a lie about Obama’s baby daddy. I think his real father was an American who knocked up Ann Dunham at the end of her senior year in high school and that this is the reason the Dunhams suddenly moved to Hawaii that summer. It was 1961. A single mom having a bi-racial bastard was easier to cover up in Hawaii than in Seattle. I think Obama’s real birth was probably in March and that the August date was faked up to make it possible for the handy and willing Barack Sr. to swap his name for a green card.

King Obama vs. Constitutional Scholar Obama

2015_02 Irony Man

The U.S. Constitution requires the combined agreement of the House, the Senate and the President to make, change or strike down a law. The only one of these three that can be ignored is the last one; if the President vetoes a law, Congress can still pass it, if there are enough votes. But nothing, Nothing, NOTHING gives any president the right to unilaterally make, change or strike down a law.  The law may be the law, but the Obama administration is still going to appeal the injunction and try to force King Obama’s decree on us.  The case will now move to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.

Barack Obama: Restoring the American Dream!

Obama v Lincoln

I want to thank Barack Obama for changes I can believe in!

Obama has destroyed the Democratic Party.

In 2006 and 2008, Democrats picked up 14 Senate seats and 52 House seats and the press was touting the death of the GOP. In 2010 and 2012, voters decisively returned control of Congress to Republicans. Obama’s leadership also brought low the Kennedy and Clinton dynasties and bumped Jimmy Carter out of the “Worst President Ever” spot, which I’m sure is a comfort to the good folks of Georgia.

Obama has completely exposed Liberals and Progressives to a new generation.

While Democrats pompously claim to be helping the poor with their tax, borrow and spend policies, what really happens is that they reward themselves and political cronies with enormous wealth while driving the poor and middle class down. They ignore our safety at home and abroad by allowing infrastructure to decay and refusing to defend us from our enemies.

Obama has brought more Americans back to the Conservative Movement than anyone since Reagan.

Talk about community organizing! Just in his first year in the White House, Obama almost single-handedly shook millions of freedom-loving Americans out of their political lethargy and launched them into the Tea Party movement.  After six years, the Tea Party is still going strong, while the Democrats’ counter “movements” — Occupy and Coffee Party — have faded from memory like one-hit rock bands.

Obama has rejuvenated Americans’ commitment to protecting and defending ALL of our rights.

During the Obama’s years, abortion rates have declined, a record number of abortion clinics have closed, sales of firearms and ammunition have sky-rocketed, traditionally Democrat groups, like Blacks and Catholics, have woken up to the fact that Democrat policies destroy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and disgust with the Democrat-shilling media has risen to the point where this year’s Most Trusted Journalist is Fox’s Bret Baier.

So, again, I say thanks to Barack Obama!  (And don’t let the door smack you on the butt when you leave.)

Obama Admits: ‘I Just Took Action to Change the Law’

The White House has argued that President Obama’s executive amnesty order last week was made well within the existing law. But in remarks in Chicago tonight, President Obama went off script and admitted that in fact he unilaterally made changes to the law [2:22 in video].

Obama Admits: ‘I Just Took Action to Change the Law’

The Constitution gives the President of the United States ZERO POWER to make or changes laws.  Maybe this is where President ZERO gets the idea he’s the only one allowed to do it?  He did say that no Republican president after him should ever, Ever, EVER do what HE JUST DID!

SNL ‘School House Rocks’ Executive Thug Obama

From SooperMexican:
I’m so old I still remember when comedians said Obama was just so venerable they couldn’t find anything about him to make fun of. How far we’ve come. In this week’s Saturday Night Live, the cold open features a retelling of the Schoolhouse Rock lesson on how a bill becomes a law now that Obama has forced an unconstitutional executive order on immigration!

Constitution gives Prez zero power to write law

“Since when does going from being a Senator to being a President change the Constitution?”

This is brilliant. Unfortunately, I can’t find it on YouTube. Hopefully, you can access it at Facebook.

“Separation of church and state” is not in the Constitution

Stephen King’s ignorant tweet is an example of the level of discourse we’re getting on the Hobby Lobby thing.

2014_07 20 Separation of church and state is not in the Constitution

Those who use the term “separation of church and state” to justify governmental infringement on the religious rights of Americans are very far removed from the intention of the Founders when they adopted the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution on December 15, 1791.

The term “separation of church and state” does not appear in the Constitution. It is an offshoot of the phrase, “wall of separation between church and state”, as written in Thomas Jefferson’s letter to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802, eleven years after the First Amendment was adopted.

The Danbury Baptist Association was afraid of becoming subservient to other Christian denominations. Jefferson’s response was meant to calm their fears by referencing the First Amendment:

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between Church and State.”

The whole POINT of the wall was to keep government out of religion, not to keep religion out of government.

“Constitutional lawyer”? My Aunt Fanny!

OBAMA yes I can SCOTUS no you can't

The Leftstream media keeps calling Barack Obama a “Constitutional lawyer”, as if this somehow makes him qualified to stick his nose in the air and sneer at SCOTUS decisions he doesn’t like.

But the fact is that Barack Obama was never a professor of Constitutional Law and never once argued a case before the Supreme Court. He isn’t even licensed to practice law, having surrendered that right in 2008.

The most common reason for a lawyer to “retire” at such a young age is to avoid being brought up on charges. In his autobiography, Obama says he was known for years as Barry Soetoro and that he used marijuana and cocaine. On his bar application, he said he had never used another name nor used drugs. Lying on your bar application is grounds for disbarment.  Obama avoided having this on his record by voluntarily retiring.

Obama Suffers 12th Unanimous Defeat in SCOTUS

2014_06 26 Obama over reaches - 12th defeat in SCOTUS

If Obama’s Department of Justice had been successful in these cases, the federal government would now have the power to:

• Attach a GPS to a citizen’s vehicle to monitor his movements, without having any cause to believe that person committed a crime (United States v. Jones).
• Deprive landowners of the right to challenge potential government fines as high as $75,000 per day and eliminate their ability to have a hearing to challenge those fines (Sackett v. EPA).
• Interfere with a church’s selection of its own ministers (Hosanna-Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church & School v. EEOC).
• Override state law whenever the President desires (Arizona v. United States).
• Dramatically extend statutes of limitations to impose penalties for acts committed decades ago (Gabelli v. SEC).
• Destroy private property without paying just compensation (Arkansas Fish & Game Commission vs. United States).
• Impose double income taxation (PPL Corp. v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue).
• Limit a property owner’s constitutional defenses (Horne v. USDA).
• Drastically expand federal criminal law (Sekhar v. United States).
• Charge petty crimes as terrorism under federal law (Bond v. United States).
• Discover regulatory powers beyond the intention of statutes passed by Congress (Utility Air Regulatory Group v. EPA).
• Ignore the Senate’s right to oversee all presidential appointments (NLRB v. Canning).

To give you a flavor for the aggressive overreach these cases represent:

  • Bond v. United States: Bond had smeared a couple of toxic chemicals on surfaces her husband’s mistress was likely to touch and gave the woman a mild rash. The feds actually charged her with possession and use of a chemical weapon! SCOTUS ruled unanimously that this was unconstitutional.
  • Utility Air Regulatory Group v. EPA: The EPA decided to regulate carbon dioxide to such a degree that it would essentially bring construction to a halt nationwide. SCOTUS condemned the EPA’s attempt to go far beyond the bounds of what the legislation passed by Congress ever intended or allowed.

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) says these twelve defeats represent only “the tip of the iceberg” because more cases concerning presidential overreach are still working their way up to the Supreme Court.
