Smoking Gun: IRS orders came from DC

House Committee On Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa has become the lead bulldog on the matter of the IRS targeting conservatives to help get Obama re-elected.

He has been holding hearings and supervising interviews of a reported 88 different employees from the agency’s problematic Cincinnati, Ohio office.

The UK Daily Mail has obtained transcripts that make it clear the political targeting wasn’t — and couldn’t have been — a small operation run by a few rogue employees in Ohio.

Sunday, June 2, 2013, lssa said on CNN,

“As late as last week, the [Obama] administration was still trying to say the [IRS targeting scandal] was from a few rogue agents in Cincinnati, when in fact the indication is that they were directly being ordered from Washington.”

CNN Host Confronts Darrell Issa [5:22]

Check out how hard Obama apologist Crowley works to separate Teh Won from Teh Poo. Remember how she was chosen as a “moderator” for a Romney-Obama debate and jumped in to defend Obama? Moderate, my Aunt Fanny.

Noteworthy:

  • Employees knew they were being asked to do something immoral.
  • One employee even tried to get a different job to avoid being thrown “under the bus” when the donkey doo hit the fan.
  • Nobody reported their orders to target Obama’s political enemies to the Inspector General.

FYI: The IRS’s Cincinnati office is where all tax-exempt orgs are handled.

Shulman at WH more often than anyone

Doug Shulman was appointed U.S. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Service in 2008 by then-president George W. Bush. Nancy Pelosi tried to blame the IRS scandal on Bush for this reason.

But Shulman is a Democrat who had donated $500 to the Democratic National Committee in the month prior to the re-election of President Bush in 2004. Call me crazy, but I can’t imagine Barack Obama appointed anyone to anything who had not ponied up big time to HIS campaign.

Shulman has been to the Obama White House 157 times that we know about. At least 118 of these were during the period when the Obama-Shulman IRS was targeting tea party and conservative groups.

By contrast, Shulman’s predecessor Mark Everson only visited the White House once during his four years of service in the George W. Bush administration. And Attorney General Eric Holder, head of the Justice Department and allegedly a close personal friend of the President, has visited the Obama White House less than half as many times as Shulman has.

Neither the White House nor Shulman has offered any information about either the frequency or the content of these visits. Methinks they were not discussing Barack’s golf swing.

Got good health care?

Got good health care

ObamaCare … The AARP helped shove it down our throats, now seniors are getting it up the back end.

  • Care will be rationed according to age. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an “end-of-life planning” seminar every five years. The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.
  • Under ObamaCare/Medicare, you can only be admitted to a hospital by your primary physician. If you are admitted by an emergency room doctor, hospital costs will not be covered.
  • The IRS will have the power to determine if your insurance policy meets government regulations or if you should be fined and thrown into the Medicaid-Medicare pool.
  • The government will have real-time access to an individual’s bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts.
  • The government will set all doctors’ fees and hospitals are forbidden to expand.
  • Non-citizens, including illegals, will receive the same quality of care as citizens and taxpayers.
  • ObamaCare will not apply to members of Congress.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dubya

According to Fancy Nancy, Barack cannot possibly be held accountable for the IRS scandal cuz BOOOSH.

2013_05 23 Pelosi blames Bush for IRS scandal

When asked if Barack Obama should be held responsible because the scandal occurred on his watch, an obviously prepared Pelosi jumped in a flash to blame Bush:

“It happened under the appointment of the head of the IRS – who was appointed by President Bush.”

Then she threw in this hilarious example of liberal “logic” just for good measure:

“The President doesn’t know about everything that is going on in every agency of government. Should Mr. Boehner have known? This is his neighboring district and in Cincinnati where the IRS office is?”

There’s a fly in my soup

Krauthammer’s Take: Holder’s ‘Days Have to Be Numbered’

The newly fired IRS commissioner has said the agency’s only sin in singling out conservative political groups for discriminatory treatment was “horrible customer service.”

Charles Krauthammer writes in the Washington Post:

Horrible customer service is when every patron in a restaurant finds a fly in his soup.

But when the maitre d’ screens patrons for their politics and only conservatives find flies paddlewheeling through their consomme, the problem is not poor service.

It is harassment and invidious discrimination.

And yet two IRS chiefs (Steven Miller and Douglas Shulman) insisted that the singling-out of groups according to politics was in no way politically motivated.

More hilarity.

It’s definitional: If you discriminate according to politics, your discrimination is political.

It’s a tautology, for God’s sake.

Kimberly Strasse writes in the Wall Street Journal:

If the country wants to get to the bottom of the IRS scandal, it must first remember the context for this abuse. That context leads to this White House.

On Aug. 21, 2008, the conservative American Issues Project ran an ad highlighting ties between candidate Obama and Bill Ayers, formerly of the Weather Underground.

The Obama campaign and supporters were furious, and they pressured TV stations to pull the ad—a common-enough tactic in such ad spats.

What came next was not common. Keep in mind that Bob Bauer was general counsel for the Obama campaign and later became general counsel for the Obama White House.

First, Bauer wrote to the criminal division of the Justice Department, demanding an investigation into AIP, its officers, directors and anonymous donors.

When AIP gave Justice a full explanation as to why it was not in violation of any law, Bauer wrote a second and a third letter to Justice again demanding the AIP be prosecuted.

Then Bauer wrote a letter to the Federal Election Commission condemning AIP.

Then Bauer wrote to AIP itself, demanding they send him confidential information to which he had no legal right.

This was a continuation of an Obama campaign scheme started in the spring of 2008, when Bauer attacked a group supporting John Edwards and filed a complaint with the FEC against a group backing Hillary Clinton in the primary.

In August 2008, Politico reported Bauer’s threats had had the desired effect of scaring off supporters and drying up contributions.

There’s nothing like success to spawn spin-offs. In August 2008, Obama supporter and liberal activist Tom Mattzie created a new leftwing group called Accountable America whose goal was to threaten and harass GOP groups and their supporters.

Mattzie was open about their intentions, telling Mother Jones, “We’re going to put them at risk.”

In 2012, Bauer used these tactics on pro-Romney groups and on private citizens who donated to these groups. Democratic senators pitched in by demanding the IRS investigate these organizations.

Whether or not Obama ordered or was involved in the IRS targeting of conservative nonprofits, he and his people clearly supported and encouraged an environment in which such behavior was tolerated, acceptable and … as we’ve seen … rewarded.

As Huffington Post’s Howard Fineman noted this week, White House counsel Bob Bauer “is one of the Democrats’ leading experts on campaign law” so “it’s hard to imagine that the Obama inner circle was oblivious to the issue of what the IRS was doing in Cincinnati.”

Hard to imagine? More like inconceivable.

Trapping a weasel

Playing the part of the weasel: The IRS Commissioner who did NOTHING to stop Conservatives being targeted, but doesn’t want to admit it with a yes or a no.

Playing the part of the hunter: Rep. Trey Gowdy who does a real good job of harrying that little sucker into the trap and slamming the door shut with a final, “Let the record reflect that meant NO.”

Tyranny

Must see video linked below.

Rep. Mike Kelly put the IRS scandal in the proper perspective. His speech [4:52] was so good he got a standing ovation at the end.

While listening, keep these two photos in mind.

As an added bonus, would you believe two of the Loudest of Loud Mouth Lefties — Musket Morgan and Penn Jillette — are GETTING it! Color me all giddy with amazement.

“I’ve had some of the pro-gun lobbyists on here, saying to me, ‘Well, the reason we need to be armed is because of tyranny from our own government,’ and I’ve always laughed at them,” Morgan said. “I said, ‘Don’t be ridiculous! Your government won’t turn itself on you. …

“But, actually, this is vaguely tyrannical behavior by the American government.”

He continued, “I think what the IRS did is bordering on tyrannical behavior. I think what the Department of Justice has done to the AP is bordering on tyrannical behavior.”

Jillette agreed with Morgan, stating, “There’s no doubt about that. Once you use the word ‘bordering,’ that’s true.

“I also think that it shows you that how much we can trust the government and just sit back– which is not very much at all. We have to be ever vigilant.”

THE THURSDAY GRUDGE

Posted by Pistol Pete

NOW,CHRISSY,CALM DOWN;THIS JUST HAPPENED AND I INSERTED IT HERE.BARRY HAD MARINES HOLD HIS UMBRELLA FOR 90 MINUTES WHILE  HE PUT FORTH THE BULLSHIT FOR HIS LOYAL SCRIBES.THERE BETTER BE A SHITSTORM OVER THIS.

573x432xbarack-umbrella_jpg_pagespeed_ic_gmHOoUlYUf

SOMEHOW I DON’T THINK THIS IS THE LAST OF IT.

When I first start doing prep for the Grudge each day,I start putting items of interest in queue.I usually wait until 10 or 11 AM to post, because things happen so rapidly.I go over the links and winnow them down to 20 or so.As you can imagine, today’s news is bursting with the too-little too-late truth.

What I have decided to do is do an all-news post, then a wacky post with some really crazy/funny stuff (one of the items is about men enduring simulated labor). You’ll enjoy that.In the meantime,I wanted to do some bullet points.

Barry said he ordered Jack Lew to demand acting Treasury Secretary Wm.Miller’s resignation. He was due to step down in June anyway.

Susan Rice will, indeed, be promoted for her loyalty to the king.

IRS administrator Lois Lerner received $42,000 in bonuses the last three years. Her husband is a bigshot lawyer whose firm held fundraisers and voter registration drives for The Won.You have no idea the degree of incest between politicians, media and lawyers that pervades the seat of power.

So far Barry is over an hour late for his presser with the guy from Turkey. He took one question from one reporterette when he appeared with David Cameron. He may take two today. But don’t expect anything of substance. It’s all lies anyway.

Rumor is that he may have to have Holder resign.Word is he’s looking at the purely racist pig governor of Taxachusetts,Deval Patrick. He’ll probably have to promise his Reichsfeuhrer that he’ll get Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg to retire so he can name him to the Supremes. That way the blacks can have a Supreme Court justice they can be proud of.

Do not think for a second that the media has lost any of their passion for the messiah.Sure, they may whine, but in the end they know he doesn’t care what they say. They all suffer from ‘battered spouse syndrome’.

Added by CtH, just cuz I needed to find out for myself if the White Hut really is still closed. Yup. It is. And it’s still being blamed on SEQUESTER, which alert readers will recall is short-hand for “Republicans didn’t let us have as big an increase in federal spending as we wanted WAAAAAH.” One guess why getting MORE money translated into “We can’t afford to let people walk through the White House any more” and “We have to short staff flight towers so planes get delayed.”
