1938: The Nazis had changed the way the media reported

Yesterday, I wrote about how Obama is blathering that we need to change the way the media reports. And by media, he means Fox News … and anyone else who isn’t “reporting” the Obamacrat’s Brave New World Talking Points. That’s what Hitler did.

This morning, I read this from “The War Against God”, written in 1938 by Sidney Dark and R.S. Essex:

“The publication of church news has been much curtailed by legislation, which enacts that all editors must be members of the National Press Association, which requires that its member shall be ready to answer accusations against ‘political reliability.‘ If their explanation is not considered satisfactory, they are expelled from the Association and this means that they can carry on their work no longer. Church papers, parish magazines and other church literature have been brought to a complete standstill. There was an attempt soon after these regulations were introduced to institute a news service by means of duplicating machines, but as soon as this scheme was made known, the duplicators were confiscated.”

Obamacrats: Dismembering the 1st Amendment

They told us just a couple of weeks ago that we had to change our religious beliefs.  That’s part one of the First Amendment. 

Then they made a huge issue about how Confederate flags are hate speech.  That’s part two.

About that Obama Buzzfeed video

Krauthammer says here that he thought the video was amusing until he learned that Obama had filmed it the same day that ISIS announced their American hostage, Kayla Mueller, was dead.

A study of 800 men ages 18 to 40 has confirmed a common belief that men who share selfies online are more likely to be narcissistic.  These men also scored high for psychopathy and self-objectification.  Narcissism, psychopathy and self-objectification are a set of personality traits known as the Dark Triad.

  • Narcissism is characterized by grandiosity, pride, egotism, and a lack of empathy.

  • Psychopathy is characterized by enduring antisocial behavior, impulsivity, selfishness, callousness, and remorselessness.

  • Self-objectification (aka, Machiavellianism) is characterized by manipulation and exploitation of others; a cynical disregard for morality, and a focus on self-interest and deception.

Hoping this is the LAST time I write about Lyin’ Brian

No, I’m not obsessed.

I’m outraged that an uneducated, narcissistic liar ever had the trust and power to choose what, when and how We the People were informed.

Freedom of the press is one of the great glories of our system; lying journalists put that, and all our other freedoms, in grave jeopardy, so no, I will NOT be silent about this.

That being said, I am sick to death of the smarmy jerk, so hopefully this is the LAST time I have to even think about him.

In a 2007 interview with Fairfield University Student Television, Williams recalled “Katyusha rockets passing just underneath the helicopter I was riding in” during a trip to Israel in 2006.

In fact he was nowhere near enemy fire. In a broadcast segment he filmed the day of the alleged incident, he described rocket fire as being “six miles away.”

Williams has told several stories about his experiences reporting about Hurricane Katrina from New Orleans in 2005.

Williams claimed to have seen a dead body float past the window of his hotel in the city’s French Quarter.

The French Quarter never got more than a few inches of flooding, certainly not enough for any dead bodies to “float past” his window.

Williams claimed his hotel has been ‘overrun’ with gangs.

The manager of the Ritz-Carlton where he stayed was honored by the company for her exemplary foresight and planning that had made the hotel one of the safest places to be in New Orleans.

Williams claimed he caught dysentery drinking the flood waters.

Former FEMA Director Michael Brown said, “in Hurricane Katrina, anywhere. Biloxi [Mississippi] all the way to the Texas border, I never heard of one case of dysentery.” Plus, “If you truly have dysentery, you’re not standing up in front of a camera, in front of national news people, giving a report. … If you truly have dysentery, you’re down and out.”

Williams claimed he got no medical treatment.

The Ritz-Carlton manager had set up an impromptu “MASH unit,” stocked with medicine from a nearby Walgreens and manned by more than a dozen doctors. She said there was more than enough medicine and doctors to see to him if he had truly ever been ill.

And AGAIN with Lyin’ Brian – Osama’s Chopper

Brian Williams has said that a friend of his in the Pentagon gave him “a piece of the fuselage of the chopper that didn’t make it in Abbottabad. It’s one of the toughest things to get. And the president has a piece of it as well.”

Uh huh. NOT. According to all the reports I read, the fuselage was destroyed by our operators before they bugged out of Pakistan.

They weren’t able to destroy the tail assembly, probably because it had landed on the other side of the wall. The Pakistanis kept it for a while, then returned it to the Pentagon.

Could Williams have obtained a piece of the tail? Suuuuuuuuuure.  Cuz like people in the military are always walking off with bits of super secret stealth technology, just like they always fly First Ladies and their teen-aged daughters into live fire zones.

SI Cover Model Hannah Davis Defends Photo: “Not That Naughty”

Naughty2Gruntington Post – Swimsuit model Hannah Davis just appeared on NBC’s Today Show with Matt Lauer to talk about her debut on the cover of Sports Illustrated Magazine. Because her cover photo has been controversial, NBC chose to cover part of the image with a large red ribbon in the graphic they showed to their TV audience. This prompted Ms. Davis to defend the photo as “not that naughty.”

Shortly after the appearance on the Today Show, Gruntington Post reporter Gruntessa of Monte Cristo was able to ask Ms. Davis a few questions off-camera in the NBC studios.

Gruntessa: “Ms. Davis, some have speculated that your cover shot was merely selected from some behind-the-scenes shots of you while you were changing outfits. After all, you don’t seem to be anywhere close to having your bikini bottoms pulled up over your lady business.”

Hannah Davis: “What? NO! I’m completely wearing that suit! It’s not uncommon to do a little peak-a-boo with the bottoms with thumbs hooked in the straps. Everybody’s doing it now. Really. It’s not that big a deal.”

Gruntessa: “But in this case, it’s clear that an extensive amount of photoshopping was necessary to extend ‘torso smoothness’ a good 6 inches below the point where it’s believable.  I’m not even talking about waxing; there’s whole realms of topographical reality that got whitewashed here.  Those bottoms were pretty much down around your ankles at that point. Did the tropical breeze make it hard to maintain focus? Did you catch cold?”

Hannah Davis: “Um. I think this interview is over. My body guard is an ex-TSA agent. You might be want to hurry along there.”

Gruntessa: “Thank you , Ms. Davis! I’ll let myself out!” *actual mic drop*
