Our Lady of Fatima, Pray for Us

In August of 2017, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un made public threats to annihilate our bases on the Pacific Island of Guam with medium-to-long-range strategic ballistic missiles. Guam, an unincorporated territory of the United States, houses the two closest bases on U.S. soil to North Korea, and represent the westernmost tip of the country’s military might.

On Aug 12, 2017, President Trump phoned Guam’s governor, Eddie Calvo, to assure him the U.S. was behind Guam “1,000 percent.” The governor told him, “I’ve never felt so safe, or felt more confident, with you at the helm.”

On Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, Governor Eddie Baza Calvo and First Lady Christine Calvo held a Prayer for Peace gathering at the Government House in Agana Heights in honor of the Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima* visiting Guam in celebration of the centennial year of the Fatima apparitions. At the gathering, the First Lady led the holy rosary. Guam is a predominantly Catholic community. 

On June 12, 2018, then-President Donald J. Trump of the United States and Chairman Kim Jong-Un held a historic summit in Singapore at which they signed an accord. Among the promises, North Korea agreed to denuclearize.

Guam’s Gov. Calvo said, “This agreement paves the way for peace between the U.S. and North Korea and moves us toward the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. The Territory of Guam is thankful to our President and his stance on peace through strength policy which elevated peace within the Asia Pacific region — this is something we truly are grateful for.”

Calvo also noted that, fifteen minutes after Trump signed the agreement with Kim Jong-Un, the statue of Our Lady of Fatima arrived at his house. “I don’t believe in coincidences.”

As Trump was traveling back to D.C., Gov. Calvo was able to enjoy a brief visit with POTUS while Air Force One refueled. During their meeting, he gave Trump what Sarah Huckabee Sanders called “a religious momento that symbolizes world peace. Later, Gov. Calvo said he had given him a scapular, though I couldn’t find any mention of which one it was.** Best guess, it was the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.***

With Dementia Joe at the helm, North Korea has blatantly violated the 2018 accord. Four days ago, The Nuclear Notebook reported, “North Korea continues to modernize and grow its nuclear weapons arsenal [and] may have produced enough fissile material to hypothetically build up to 90 nuclear warheads, but has likely assembled fewer than that—potentially around 50. To deliver the warheads, North Korea is enhancing and diversifying its missile force, most recently with new solid-fuel long-range strategic missiles, short-range tactical missiles, and sea-based missiles.”

DRAINING THE SWAMP: As I reported a couple of weeks ago, the recent Supreme Court decision in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo struck down a 40-year-old precedent known as the “Chevron deference.”

For the past four decades, legislators have been free to write sloppy, ambiguous laws that federal agencies were then free to interpret however they chose. This one thing has gone a long way toward empowering the unelected bureaucrats in D.C. who are collectively known as The Swamp.

Members of Congress are complaining that Loper Bright will now force them to work harder both to draft laws in unambiguous language and to garner enough aye votes to get them enacted.

To this I say, “Cry me a river.” Maybe the influx of liberal tears will help wash away the stink.

GOLD STAR FAMILIES: [13:09] – Tears flowed at the Republican National Convention as families of the 13 military members who were killed during Biden’s chaotic retreat from Afghanistan spoke of their loss, of the lack of recognition they received from Joe Biden, and of the extraordinary tenderness with which Donald Trump shared their grief. The deceased were:

I was tearing up as I listened, but when the crowd began naming the deceased, I lost it. Any one of those kids could’ve been one of mine. I still have two in uniform. They deserve a Commander in Chief they can respect, a leader who will not send them on stupid, politically-motivated missions, and who will grieve when and if they are injured or, God forbid, killed.

Marc Clauson, professor of history and law at Ohio’s Cedarville University, notes that Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), checks a diversity box that most people overlook “… socioeconomic diversity.” He grew up poor in the Rust Belt, then graduated from Yale Law and became a venture capitalist.

He also served in the United States Marine Corps, which certainly appeals to this military mom. Go, Green!

Lowering the Temperature

In his speech to the NAACP on Tuesday, FAUXTUS said, “We all have a responsibility to lower the tempergee — temperature and condemn violence in any form. … We must fully and firmly reject not only political violence but violence of any kind.  Period.  No exceptions.”

Then he proceeded to savage Trump with lies like this one: “Donald Trump’s presidency was hell for Black America. … you peacefully protested George Floyd’s murder; Donald Trump called for the National Guard to go after you.  What in the hell is the matter with this man?”

In October 2020, the Major Cities Chiefs Association’s Intelligence Commanders Group published its “REPORT ON THE 2020 PROTESTS AND CIVIL UNREST.” It tells us that, between May 25th and July 31st, 2020, 8,700 protests took place in most major cities. Of these, 574 protests (7%) involved acts of violence, some of which were severe.

The Left told us then and continue to tell us now that these were “mostly peaceful.” And if you go by the 7%, then “mostly” applies. But when you look at that 7%, the term becomes painfully absurd. In total,

  1. 97 police cars were burned,
  2. 2,037 police officers were injured, and
  3. 624 incidences of arson were committed.

The percentages of major city law enforcement agencies that experienced violent protests reported having officers attacked with:

  1. Molotov cocktails = 78%
  2. Rocks, bricks, bottles = 78%
  3. Fireworks = 73%
  4. Bats or poles = 59%
  5. Firearms = 51%

The people involved in the violence were often not local. Sixty-one of the 68 agencies found violent protesters were from out-of-state, while 20 of the 68 found protesters who had been paid to participate.

They were also not entirely motivated by far left politics.

  1. 53 of 68 agencies identified violent protesters with far left ideologies, while
  2. 35 of the 68 agencies identified violent protesters with far right ideologies.

On September 16, 2020, Brad Palumbo wrote at the Foundation for Economic Education, “Dozens of people were killed or injured in the violent protests, while thousands of businesses and properties, many minority-owned, were looted, torched, or otherwise vandalized. Only now are we beginning to realize the full cost of the destruction.”

Just the insured property losses amounted to a record-breaking two billion dollars. But, Palumbo notes, this figure “vastly underestimates the true damage wrought.” He points out that 75% of US businesses are under-insured, while about 40% of small businesses have no insurance at all. Their true losses don’t show up in that $2B figure.

Nor do insurance payouts tell the tales of personal pain and suffering. At least fifteen people died; many more were injured. Insurance payouts also don’t speak to future costs, such as higher insurance rates, lower property values, higher prices, reduced tax revenue, and decreased economic opportunity, much of it affecting minority communities.

It sickens me that Democrat leaders promoted and cheered on the violence as it was happening and continue to lie about the damage it did, all in the name of smearing their arch-enemy, Donald J. Trump.

BLOWBACK: After his band mate Kyle Gass said “please don’t miss Trump next time” from the stage, Jack Black canceled the remainder of the band’s tour and Gass’ talent agent dropped him as a client.

Alison Scott, a teacher in Oklahoma, tweeted that she wished the shooter had had a better scope. Her superintendent tweeted that she no longer has a job and, if he has anything to say about it, will lose her teaching certificate as well.

The Mayor of Bernville, PA, reported said it was a shame the shooter missed and wished he had tried harder. A petition is going around to get him removed. He is bragging that there is no way for anyone to remove him from office.

Dallas Police Sergeant Arturo Martinez has been placed on leave for posting “aim better.”

A Home Depot employee posted, “Too bad they weren’t a better shooter.” She’s now out of a job.

An elementary school counselor who posted she was disappointed the shooter missed has resigned.

Someone posting as @szkofficial posted three vile tweets wishing death and destruction on all Trump supporters. The account has been removed.

A hairstylist in Denver is so sad the shooter missed that he is threatening to “try again.” The Secret Service is investigating.

MSDNC: On Monday, the far left network decided it would be best to keep “Morning Joe” and his adulterous wife off the air, lest they shoot off their mouths and say something “inappropriate” about the assassination attempt. Joe and Mika are furious and threatened to quit if it ever happens again.

MUSK: Elon is moving his SPACEX headquarters to Texas. He said the final straw was California’s new law that bars school districts in that state from requiring parents to be notified of a child’s gender identification change.

Musk tweeted, “I did make it clear to Governor Newsom about a year ago that laws of this nature would force families and companies to leave California to protect their children.”

A vehicle that is hydroplaning is literally riding on top of water and can do neither. When I was in high school, a classmate driving a VW bug hydroplaned on a highway curve and hit a semi. SATANIC FORCES OF NATURE: The binding prayer I use a lot includes binding of “Satanic Forces of Nature.” I think this qualifies. A tornado ripped through about 8 blocks of Rome, New York, which is northeast of us. The worst damage happened to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Given all the activities of late, I can’t help noticing that it is St. MARY’S in ROME that got ripped apart.

SECRET SERVICE BARBIE: Director Kimberly “Diversity Before Competence” Cheatle is a joke without a punch line. She needs to be replaced.

Speaking of people who need to be replaced, when Dementia Joe was asked if he had spoken with the Secret Service Director about the Trump shooting, he replied, “I’ve heard from him.” Kimberly Cheatle is a her.

UK: A British couple got sick of all the trash polluting their neighborhood, so they picked it up and put it out next to their trash bin for collection. Their city council fined them $650 apiece for something or other. The article says “failing to transfer household waste to an authorised authority”, but I don’t know what that means.

She ruled that “Special Counsel Smith’s appointment violates the Appointments Clause of the United States Constitution.” All scheduled hearings and deadlines have been canceled.

VANCE: Trump has chosen Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate. Trump’s statement said,

“J.D. honorably served our Country in the Marine Corps, graduated from Ohio State University in two years, Summa Cum Laude, and is a Yale Law School Graduate, where he was Editor of The Yale Law Journal, and President of the Yale Law Veterans Association. J.D.’s book, Hillbilly Elegy, became a Major Best Seller and Movie, as it championed the hardworking men and women of our Country.

A Letter from Melania

July 14, 2024 – I am thinking of you, now, my fellow Americans.

We have always been a unique union. America, the fabric of our gentle nation is tattered, but our courage and common sense must ascend and bring us back together as one.

When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized my life, and Barron’s life, were on the brink of devastating change. I am grateful to the brave secret service agents and law enforcement officials who risked their own lives to protect my husband.

To the families of the innocent victims who are now suffering from this heinous act, I humbly offer my sincerest sympathy. Your need to summon your inner strength for such a terrible reason saddens me.

A monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine attempted to ring out Donald’s passion – his laughter, ingenuity, love of music, and inspiration. The core facets of my husband’s life – his human side – were buried below the political machine. Donald, the generous and caring man who I have been with through the best of times and the worst of times.

Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy, and political games are inferior to love. Our personal, structural, and life commitment – until death – is at serious risk. Political concepts are simple when compared to us, human beings.

We are all humans, and fundamentally, instinctively, we want to help one another. American politics are only one vehicle that can uplift our communities. Love, compassion, kindness and empathy are necessities.

And let us remember that when the time comes to look beyond the left and the right, beyond the red and the blue, we all come from families with the passion to fight for a better life together, while we are here, in this earthly realm.

Dawn is here again. Let us reunite. Now.

This morning, ascend above the hate, the vitriol, and the simple-minded ideas that ignite violence. We all want a world where respect is paramount, family is first, and love transcends.

We can realize this world again. Each of us must demand to get it back. We must insist that respect fills the cornerstone of our relationships, again.

I am thinking of you, my fellow Americans.

The winds of change have arrived. For those of you who cry in support, I thank you. I commend those of you who have reached out beyond the political divide – thank you for remembering that every single politician is a man or a woman with a loving family.

CANCER: A new study by the American Cancer Society reveals that four in 10 cancer cases and about one-half of all cancer deaths in adults age 30 and older in the United States are attributable to modifiable risk factors. These include smoking, excess body weight, alcohol consumption, physical activity, diet, and exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Smoking tops the list, contributing to nearly 20 percent of cancer cases and close to 30 percent of cancer deaths.

CATHOLIC: I saw this on Facebook and thought it was worth sharing – “Worshiping does not = praying, bowing to, kneeling to, honoring, etc. They can be used within worship for respect and honor but are not necessarily worship or adoration but rather veneration (a high honor). That’s where Protestants get confused.

“Worship actually = a sacrifice; killing and spilling the blood of an animal or human and offering it up. That’s why Catholic churches have altars where we do the one and only sacrifice to God alone. Everything else with Mary and the saints is just veneration. No sacrifice or adoration involved. Just pure honor.

“Protestants get confused with veneration and adoration because they use veneration to “worship” God and not adore Him with a sacrifice therefore they think we worship saints and idols when we venerate them.”

LEGEND: Less than 24 hours after being injured in an assassination attempt, Trump played a round at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. Afterwards, his motorcade took him to Newark Liberty International Airport to fly to the Republican National Convention in Wisconsin.

WHITE PRIVILEGE: In the latter half of the 19th century, American textile companies employed more than 80,000 children, some as young as 8. Not only were they deprived an education, but also they were exposed to dangerous machinery and chemicals. Philadelphia was the worst offender and so was chosen by reformers as the focal point for protests aimed at reform.

Our Lady of Fatima

[2948] – July 13, 2024 will forever be remembered as the day they tried to kill Donald Trump, and failed. But what else happened on that date? It was 107 years to the day Our Lady of Fatima appeared to the three shepherd children and gave them arguably her most important message among all her apparitions that year. Did you know Trump kept a statue of Our Lady of Fatima in the White House during his tenure? Did she intervene, as she did for Pope John Paul II on May 13, 1981, to help save Trump’s life — and for what purpose?

Our Lady’s message on July 13, 1917: I want you to come on the thirteenth day of next month and to continue to pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war for she alone can help. Continue to come here every month. In October I will tell you who I am and what I want. And I will perform a miracle so that everyone may see and believe.

Our Lady’s message continued … Sacrifice yourselves for sinners and say often, especially when you make some sacrifice, ‘O my Jesus, this is for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.’ [A vision of hell] You saw Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. In order to save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people do what I ask, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end.

Our Lady’s message continued … But if people do not stop offending God, another, even worse one will begin in the reign of Pius XI. When you shall see a night illuminated by an unknown light know that this is the great sign that God gives you that He is going to punish the world for its many crimes by means of war, hunger, and persecution of the Church and the Holy Father. To prevent it, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of reparation on the first Saturdays.

Our Lady’s message continued … If people attend to my requests, Russia will be converted and the world will have peace. If not, she [Russia] will scatter her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed. In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me; it will be converted, and a certain period of peace will be granted to the world. In Portugal the dogmas of the Faith will always be kept. [A vision of the Pope suffering and being martyred]

Our Lady’s message continued … Do not tell this to anyone. Francisco … yes, you may tell him” [Lúcia and Jacinta both saw and heard Our Lady but Francisco only saw the apparitions]. When you say the Rosary, say after each mystery: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need.

In the video of the shooting (above), I counted approximately seven pops within seven seconds beginning at :30. At 1:17, an agent says, “Shooter is down.” At 1:30, they help Trump get up and by 2:30, he is getting into his vehicle and leaving for the hospital. IOW, there is a total of only two minutes between the first shot and Trump being loaded into the vehicle. I have not been able to find out what the exact two minutes were. The accounts I have read mention 6:11 and 6:15 pm. Obviously, since the whole thing took two minutes, they aren’t both correct. Christians are passing Ephesians 6:11 around. Since a lot of reports said 6:15, here is the whole section.

Listen to the video again. Between 1:30 and 1:40, Trump insists three or four times that the Secret Service let him put his shoes on. I’ve wondered why anyone took his shoes off, but I did hear one former Secret Service agent say there is one agent detailed with rapidly assessing wounds. Maybe taking shoes off to check his feet was part of that? Whatever the reason, I think it is remarkable … given what Ephesians 6:15 says … that he is recorded, very clearly, demanding his shoes.

Trump Shooting

BY THE GRACE OF GOD: One report I watched said Trump turned his head just as the shot rang out. If he had not turned, the bullet would’ve hit him in the head, not his ear. Thanks be to God. I like to imagine the shooter’s guardian angel telling Trump’s guardian angel exactly when to get him to turn his head. 🙂

FAUXTUS: Personally, I think Biden sold his soul to become POTUS … but he forgot to include anything about being a GOOD president.

JERKNALISTS: I thought they’d wait at least 24 hours before returning to their true form. But no. They didn’t even manage to last minutes.

CNN’s immediate headline was, “Secret Service rushes Trump off stage after he falls at rally.”

At MSN, it was “Secret Service agents escorted former President Donald Trump off stage after he fell to the ground at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.”

Three hours after the shooting, CNN’s headline was, “Trump injured in incident at rally.”

At ABC, the headline was, “Trump says he was shot at rally in assassination attempt.”

VOTERS: I saw this comment on one of the many YouTubes about the shooting – “I was not enthusiastic about voting for him. Now this will be the most excited vote I will ever cast in my life.”

BREAKING: Trump shot

Saturday, July 13: Gunshots rang out at about 6:15 pm, during former President Trump’s speech at a rally in Butler, PA. His Secret Service agents attempted to rushed him off the stage, but he insisted they “wait, wait.”

Donald Trump Jr. said he has spoken with his father on the phone, and that the former president is in “great spirits.”

President Biden declined to call the shooting an “assassination attempt” before he has all the facts. He did say that “the idea that there’s political violence or violence in America like this is just unheard of.”

1865: Abraham Lincoln was the first president to die by assassination.

1881: James Garfield was shot at a train station in Washington, DC, in July 1881. He died from his wounds months later.

1901: President William McKinley was shot in Buffalo, New York. He lingered for days before dying from his wounds.

1912: Former President Theodore Roosevelt was shot when, like Trump, he was campaigning to get his old job back.

1933: Franklin D. Roosevelt was president-elect when a would-be assassin fired at him in Miami.

1950: Harry Truman was shot at across from the White House by Puerto Rican nationalists.

1963: President John F. Kennedy was killed during a parade in Dallas.

1968: JFK’s brother, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, was shot and killed in Los Angeles the night he won the California Democratic primary.

1972: Alabama Gov. George Wallace was shot while running for president. The injury left him paralyzed from the waist down.

1975: Gerald Ford was shot at twice within a few weeks. Both attempts were foiled.

1981: Ronald Reagan was shot outside the Hilton in Washington, DC, after giving a speech.

2011: An Idaho man fired shots at the White House and was charged with the attempted assassination of Barack Obama.
