FAUXTUS: CLICK https://x.com/greg_price11/status/1878973302896734454 [:31] to hear Joe Biden magnanimously promise wildfire victims a one-time-only pay-out of $770 each. This would be the same Joe Biden who gave Ukraine another half a billion dollars. None of this is his money, of course.
GRAMMY NOTES: This reminds me of that thing about scientists climbing to the top of the mountain of truth and finding theologians already sitting there. LOL
DAILY PRAYER: Lord, We come before You, repenting of and asking Your forgiveness for the times we have spoken out of turn. Grant each of us the graces we need to weigh our words on Your scale before choosing when and what we say. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
CALI-FIRES: This is one of those things that I find too distressing to report on in detail. Here’s a brief summary for those of you who, like Dearest, did not know Los Angeles County has been burning out of control.
Low humidity and winds gusting up to 100 miles per hour caused fires to ignite and spread out of control within minutes.
Fire fighting resources throughout the county are spread thin and, due to California’s obsession with protecting tiny fishes, the hydrants are dry.
Thousands of structures and tens of thousands of acres have been burned to the ground. More than 100,000 people are under evacuation orders. Five people have been reported killed so far.
Air quality is bad; schools and roads are closed.
Biden and Newsom both opposed forest management projects, like controlled burns, claiming they were bad for wildlife and the environment.
Trump has been criticizing California’s forest management practices for years, saying they were going to pay heavily for it when massive fires broke out in populated areas.
Los Angeles has faced firefighter shortages for several years while the Biden administration has also overseen a drop in federal firefighters.
Far-left Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass ignored warnings about wildfire conditions before traveling to Ghana, then remained there for days after the fires broke out. What business could the mayor of a U.S. city possibly have in Africa?!
In 2021, LA Mayor Bass lambasted Ted Cruz for taking his wife and daughters to Cancun to escape a 2021 storm and energy crisis in Texas.
Mayor Bass also slashed the Los Angeles Fire Department’s FY 2024-2025 budget by $17.6 million.
In 2022, the Los Angeles County Fire Department shipped fire fighting equipment to Ukraine.
While standing beside California Governor Gavin Newsom at a presser about the fires, Still Kinda President Joe Biden announced, “The good news is, I’m a great-grandfather as of today.” He then refused to answer questions from reporters and left.
LAWFARE: [9:35] – On Thursday, the Supreme Court rejected President-elect Donald Trump’s request to halt proceedings in his New York business records case. On Friday, New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan gave President-elect Donald Trump an unconditional discharge in his sentencing in his hush money case. It’s a largely symbolic sentence that means that Trump does not face any penalties beyond having a conviction entered in his legal record. IOW, the lefties can go on saying he is a felon. They’ll ignore the fact that, if what he did is an actual crime, then most politicians and celebrities would be felons as well.
META: Joe Rogan interviewed Meta CEO founder Mark Zuckerberg on his podcast. Zuckerberg said the Biden White House pressured his company to censor posts on Meta’s social media platforms. For example, during the ‘rona vaxxx roll-out, he said, “They pushed us super hard to take down things that, honestly, were true.”
Initially, they pushed back, then the administration got nasty. “People from the Biden administration would call up our team and like scream at them and curse. … Then, like, all these different agencies and branches of government basically just, like, started investigating and coming after our company. It was brutal. It was brutal.”
