Bits & Bytes

ABORTION: Harris supports passing federal legislation mandating abortion on demand for all states. She also opposes allowing religious exemptions. She says these positions are “non-negotiable.”

Trump supports keeping the right to abortion legislation at the state level where voters have more control over what happens in their communities.

DEMOCRATS: CLICK https://x.com/TrumpWarRoom/status/1849600195379564915 to see a new Trump ad. Democrats have been in charge for 12 of the past 16 years. We can’t afford four more years of their irresponsible leadership!

ECONOMY: Harris says she intends to bring down the price of groceries by “dealing with price gouging.” N.b., there is no evidence that anyone in the food chain is price gouging; the issue certainly has nothing to do with the cost of food skyrocketing across the board.

On housing, she says she plans to create incentives for construction companies to build millions of new homes and housing units and to provide first-time homeowners a down payment of $25,000. She does not explain what those incentives would be or how she would pay for even more government giveaways. She also ignores the true drivers of our housing shortage, which are inflation, too many government regulations, and millions of new and illegal residents competing for existing housing.

On wages not keeping up with the cost of living, Harris says she favors a national minimum wage of at least $15 per hour. She does not address the historical fact that increases in minimum wage have always increased the cost of living for all, which severely harms the poorest and the disabled and elderly who live on fixed incomes. She also ignores the fact that where higher minimum wages have been installed, massive numbers of starter jobs have disappeared as businesses with slim profit margins were forced to close. She also does not seem to care that many of the people who need starter jobs are unable to find them because illegals are willing (or forced) to work for less under the table.

WASHINGTON POST: [7:42] – “Kamala, who do you have when you’ve lost the Washington Post?” – Kayleigh McEnany

WHO IS WITH GOD: Last week, at a rally at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where Kamala Harris was pronouncing her 100% for abortion on demand, two Christian students shouted “Christ is King!” As they were escorted out of the rally, they were heckled, cursed at, and pushed by other attendees. When Harris she added her own mocking, “You’re at the wrong rally!”, her pro-abortion fans laughed and clapped.

On Sunday, at a rally in Wisconsin, an attendee shouted “Christ is King!” J.D. Vance responded, “That’s right. Jesus is King!

Harris claims she will be a “unifying” president, a president for all Americans. That’s hard to figure, seeing as 70.6% of Americans identify as Christian and 35% believe abortion should be illegal in all or most cases.

WOKE: My art brain can’t stop overthinking this meme! The words appear to have been added by someone other than the artist who did the painting. I can’t help wondering what the artist was actually thinking about. The sun is shining in the bowl; the shadow it casts suggests the water in the bowl is nice and warm, while the water outside is cold and darker. Also, the fish in the bowl is well fed, while the one in the shadow is thin and has stripes; stripes on fish can be a sign of stress. Minus the text, I see a Christian metaphor where the fish who chose Christ is in the bowl and is trying to tell the outside fish that the glass bowl (i.e., God’s law) only appears to be a cage to outsiders. Once you’re on the inside, you learn that, like the stable where Jesus was born, the inside is bigger than the outside.

GRAMMY NOTES: Happy birthday, Bunny!! (Oy, vey, she’s a teenager already!)

Without a hint of self-awareness, he says, “I don’t understand how we got so toxic and just so divided and so bitter.” He needs to look into a mirror. America wasn’t like this until he floated into office on his angelic promise to end racism in America forever.

Earlier this week, The Atlantic published a piece claiming that, four years ago, then-President Trump told Mayra Guillen he “needed generals like Hitler.” Never mind that Mayra Guillen says it never happened and that she has already voted for President Trump. Prior to publication, a spokesman wrote to The Atlantic saying that President Trump “absolutely did not say that.” In his hit piece, Jeffrey Goldberg wrote that the spokesman had “denied having heard Trump say that.” Guillen’s lawyer is now on record confirming The Atlantic published a blatant lie “for cheap political gain.”

Trump has already been shot at twice. Do they really want him dead? You betcha!

They deserve to lose!

Compare and Contrast

Recently, both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris each did a sit down interview with a top journalist from an opposing new agency. Trump was interviewed by Bloomberg’s News Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait while Harris was interviewed by Fox News’ Bret Baier.

If you have not seen them, I encourage you to find the time. If you can’t scrape up two hours, then figure out how much time you can spare, divide it by two and watch that many minutes of random segments of each interview. IMO, this exercise will tell you a great deal about who the candidates are.

Neither candidate answered many, if any, of the interviewers’ direct questions, which doesn’t bother me. Answering a gotcha question presents too great a risk of creating gotcha sound bites for the opposition to use in their ads. So, when hostile interviewers ask gotcha question, smart candidates use their time to present theirpositions. IMO, you should ignore the questions and focus on the temperament, character, and knowledge each candidate displayed.

Remember: This is not a personality contest. It’s a job interview. You are voting to hire one of them to do a critically important job for you.

While the juxtaposition of these interviews is deeply informative, there is also some backstory that I think illuminates the two sides of this race.

  1. Trump was invited to give a speech to the Economic Club of Chicago. When he arrived, he was presented with a packed audience, two chairs, and the editor of a hostile news agency for an interview. He was there for 60 minutes.
  1. Harris was invited to be interviewed by Bret Baier in a closed studio, with the tape to be shown immediately afterwards on Fox News. She agreed to 30 minutes, then arrived ten minutes late. Because of Fox’s commitment to air the interview at a certain time, the interview had to be cut short. She was there for 26 minutes.

The Fox Harris Interview

Hard to believe, but Kamala Harris actually agreed to an interview with Fox News.

FULL INTERVIEW: [27:00]

1st MINUTE: Baier, “Give me a number.” Harris, “Let’s just get to the point.” Baier, “Give me a number.” The POINT was the number, which she never provided. ::smh::

2d MINUTE: Baier, “Why did you end Trump’s stay in Mexico policy?” Harris, “We submitted a bill.” Baier, “Why did you …” Harris, “I’m speaking.” Harris: “Trump told his cronies to kill our bill.” The POINT was “Why did you end Trump’s stay in Mexico policy?

I’m having trouble listening to this and there’s 20 more minutes! ARGH!! Listening to this woman is like nails on a chalkboard.

If I’d had a shot for every time she has said, “Let’s be clear” in ten minutes, I’d be falling off my chair.

Over the last decade … everything is Trump’s fault” … uhhh, Democrats have held the White House for 12 of the past 16 years.

He’s the one who diminishes and demeans” … she whines as she diminishes and demeans. ::smh::

The president should be willing to take criticism” … she whines as she blames her failures as VP on him.

21 MINUTES: “When did you first notice that President Biden’s mental faculties appeared diminished?” No answer. “Joe Biden is not on the ballot.”

COMMENTS:

  • Let me be clear, I was raised in a middle class family, I was a prosecutor, and it’s Donald Trump’s fault.
  • Anyone else ready to be unburdened by what has been?
  • I’m a Customs and Border Protection officer, the immigration system is not broken, the bureaucracy of politicians is broken.
  • I am so happy her handlers had her do this interview. Great work Bret!
  • This is her job interview. Remember that.
  • I counted 147 times she said it was Trump’s fault.

Who am I voting for and why

I am voting for Trump, because I believe that without him, our beautiful Republic will fall.

I am voting for Trump, because he has his priorities straight.

I am voting for Trump, because he always has and always will put Americans first.

I am voting for Trump, because he respects masculinity and families.

I am voting for Trump, because he will use the power of the presidency to return our schools to teaching math, science, and accurate history instead of indoctrinating and sexualizing our children.

I am voting for Trump, so the federal government can’t impose abortion on states that don’t want it.

I am voting for Trump, because he will restore respect and strength to our military and thus make us and the rest of the world safer.

I am voting for Trump, because he will put our military veterans ahead of illegals.

I am voting for Trump, because he will not use our troops for political gain.

I am voting for Trump, because he is a strong leader and a great negotiator who, during his first term, fostered peace in the Middle East, prevented Russia from invading Ukraine, and kept Communist China in check.

I am voting for Trump, because he doesn’t pander for votes. He says what he means and means what he says.

I am voting for Trump, because he believes a nation must have secure borders and only legal immigration.

I am voting for Trump, because he will remove illegal criminals from our communities.

I am voting for Trump, because I believe in the First Amendment.

I am voting for Trump, because he respects law enforcement officers and equal treatment under the rule of law.

I am voting for Trump, because he won’t try to pack the Supreme Court with progressive justices who will destroy the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I am voting for Trump, because he will appoint an attorney general and federal judges who truly respect the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I am voting for Trump, because he will not try to destroy the Electoral College.

I am voting for Trump, because he did not go after Hillary Clinton when he was in office and had the power to destroy her life. Now, after persecuting him with false accusations for eight years, she and her party call him a “threat to democracy.”

I am voting for Trump, because he fought against drugs and human trafficking during his first term and will do so again.

I am voting for Trump, because I believe that without him, our beautiful Republic will fall.

Bits & Bytes

FAUXTUS: [4:43] – He’s like that crabby old guy who yells at kids to get off his lawn.

FEMA: The government shipped 3 pallets of electric chainsaws to hurricane survivors in a community without power.

INSURRECTIONISTS: Some top House Democrats won’t commit to certifying a Trump victory. They’re saying they could only certify if “all the rules have been followed.” But wait … wasn’t that whole January 6th protest about wanting an investigation into JUST THAT?!

KAMALA: [1:30] – Best comment on this video at YT – “Trump should forget about running his own ads and use his campaign money to run this ad instead.

In other news, Dems are claiming that Kamala’s husband, Doug Emhoff. is the antidote to toxic masculinity. This would be the same Doug Emhoff who (a) got his nanny pregnant, (b) slapped a past girlfriend so hard he made her spin around, and (c) has been sued for being a misogynist at his law firm.

NEW YUCK CITY: Consider this your “avoid the Rotten Apple, y’all” travel advisory. Mayor Adams is closing a migrant shelter on Randall’s Island because of all the violence there. The migrants will be moved to hotel rooms in the city. What could possibly go wrong?

POLYMARKET: This is a site where people bet on the outcome of the election. I plugged the data above into the map @ https://www.270towin.com/ and found it gives Trump 281 electoral votes.

TRUMP: CLICK https://x.com/robsmithonline/status/1844373761430261839 [1:10] to hear the quiet part out loud. “You were never supposed to know that Kamala was this bad because Trump is supposed to be dead, and she wasn’t supposed to have to do all these interviews.”

VIRGINIA: On Friday, Biden’s DOJ announced it is suing the state of Virginia for removing non-citizens from its voter rolls. The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA) requires states to remove ineligible voters from voter registration lists no later than 90 days before federal elections. Biden’s DOJ is contending this does not include removing people “because of a perceived failure to meet initial eligibility requirements — including citizenship — at the time of registration.” Wait, wut?

WALZ: Tim Walz’ wife is spending her time on the campaign trail reading gay books to kids.

GRAMMY NOTES: Yes! I put up a “talk to the hand” sign and keep on moving. If necessary, I brandish my tea mug at the fools until they back off.
