REPUBLICANS MAINTAIN CONTROL OF WISCONSIN SENATE

http://www.channel3000.com/politics/28818859/detail.html

I woke up at 1:00 AM and rushed to my computer to check the results of yesterday’s recall elections. It was gratifying to see that republicans held four of six senate seats, given the unions pumped over thirty million dollars into the races while the establishment GOP did next to nothing. It was left to tea partiers and ordinary people to defeat the massed socialist thugs. There are two democrat flee-baggers up for a recall next week.I don’t know any of the particulars, but I think they might be getting nervous. The reported turnout was higher than expected, considering it was a special election. This tells me that normally complacent citizens are getting engaged in the process. This is a good thing.

Despite the BS CNN polls they throw in our faces claiming both sides are to blame for the country’s woes, people are seeing the Kenyan for what we all knew he was all along. They would never say it publically, but a lot of dems are hearing an ominous rumble that’s only going to get louder with the passing months. There are better days coming.I can feel it.

FEDS RATE TIMING IS POLITICALLY CURIOUS

The market soared after the fed announced this. They claimed they would not raise interest rates until at least mid-2013.What I took that to mean was a signal the feds would keep printing money to prop up the market and buy toxic assets until after next year’s election.

    From Olympus …

“You have global chaos, market terror and brave Americans who died in a far-off land fighting for American freedom. If ever there was a moment for magic and inspiring oratory, it would be now.

“These are the moments great men live for and for which great speeches are made. Just imagine what the Barack Obama of 2008 would have done with such a moment.

“Sadly, it turns out that was just a mirage. Something we wanted to see. Now, he has lost his nerve. He has gone mute. And he stuttered through a sorry speech that tanked the markets another 300 points.”

    Wow.

Cheap thrills … push play on Franks vid, then quick put your cursor on the red line, right before he leans and toots. Let it play through the toot … then CLICK. Repeat until you’re laughing too hard to continue.

YAY NONI … Big Yellow Congrats from a former “Boss of the Bus”! Driving my rig full of kids was one of my all time favorite jobs ever. Watching kindergarteners in snow suits struggling to get up that first biiiiiiiiiiig step … then when they see you at the mall or something and are all wide eyed and wondering Where is your bus?? like you must live in it or something.

Two of my kids sent me postcards from their vacay and one troubled high schooler stayed on the bus past the last stop because he desperately needed an adult to talk to. He’d seen me reading my Bible on breaks and chose me. Still chokes me up, that talk we had.

It’s a really sacred trust, driving other people’s kids. And you can touch their lives in unexpected ways, Noni. Very best wishes in your new career!

  5. I’m so happy for Wisconsin !

    • Wisconsin resident here checking in. Yesterday was my birthday, and I got what I wanted — our pro-life, pro-taxpayer, pro-business state senator, who was being challenged in the recall by some leftist loon who was endorsed by all the labor unions and Planned Parenthood and probably CPUSA as well, won her election handily.

I am opposed to recall elections on principle — I think they are a very bad idea — but I’m very happy that they turned out well, despite the tens of millions of dollars spent by unions, pro-abortion organizations, and other leftists in an attempt to undo the results of last fall’s election. I’m hoping that this huge waste of time, money, and energy on the part of leftist and statist advocacy groups will make people think twice about petitioning for a recall in the future. If they had been successful here, we would have seen an epidemic across the country of people petitioning for elected representatives to be recalled. It would have been an absolute nightmare.

Apart from happiness that the pro-life and pro-taxpayer majority in our state legislature was preserved, my primary emotion today is relief that it’s over. For about the last eight weeks I have been carpet-bombed on a daily basis with mailings from every advocacy group in the state, telling me whom to vote for and why (the paper recycling bin is full-to-overflowing with all that junk), and my phone has rung off the hook from sunrise to sunset with people telling me whom to vote for and why (I damn near pulled the plug on the thing). I know I’ll have to go through it all again in 2012, but for now it’s relatively peaceful around here, thank God!
