On Aug.25,2009 Edward M. Kennedy went to his just reward.
He now resides in the 10th circle of hell.
He was a drunken womanizer who lived off his dead brothers’ memory for 40 years.
He claimed to champion education,but was vehemently opposed to vouchers for poor kids to have a chance at a quality education.
He was famous,along with Chris Dodd for ‘waitress sandwiches’ at LaBrasserie in D.C.
In 1969,he left a party with his conquest for the evening,a young campaign worker named Mary Jo Kopechne.
In a drunken stupor,he ran his car off the bridge into the Chappaquiddick River.Scrambling to shore,he left Mary Jo to gasp her last breath.
He made it home and waited 12 hours to sober up and concoct a story before notifying authorities.
Being a Kennedy in Massachusetts carries near-deity status.No charges were filed.
George W. Bush invited him to write an education bill,which he loudly blamed the president for since there wasn’t enough money for him.
I have considered,and I am of the belief that the spirit of co-operation in Washington started to disintegrate when he savagely attacked Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork.He wailed about women being relegated to back-alley abortions with coat hangers if Bork were to gain a seat.
That was the beginning of my revulsion with this festering boil.
He was referred to as the ‘Lion of the Senate.’
All he did was be lucky enough to be born into a family enriched by criminal activities and having a politically connected father.

I guess it was a good day for me to be extra po’d at the left … and I didn’t even know this was that anniversary. Must be something in the air … impending hurricanes maybe. I’m steaming about another travesty in Massachusetts. A pro-lifer was beaten, arrested and put on a terrorist watch list for … get this … handing out pro-life bookmarks at a Catholic church fair. ::steaming:: I’ll post a graphic tomorrow.

Good grief. This must be something new. I wonder if the $59.95 per year is for each user, or per blog. I’ll be happy to spring for it if it would cover all of the people allowed to post here.

We get 3GB free for media uploads. After that, we would have to pay for a space upgrade…or delete some of our pics. So, if something is available hosted somewhere else, it’s better just to embed it, instead of adding it to our media folder. For videos, it does require an upgrade to host them directly on WordPress. If they’re on YouTube, however, we should be able to embed them for free. There’s nothing in the help section about them changing that (yet).

Feel free to blitz all my graphics. I never use the media library here. I rarely reuse anything, but when I do, it’s easier for me to find stuff in my own archives and upload again.

Would this work: Post the title, “Friday Grudge” Then in the post spot Click on comments for grudging — Pete can come up with the witty stuff here. Next put each item as a comment. Will videos post as comments? OK, I will answer that by trying. You may have to put post up as admin but set up seperate email ( I will do for you if want) then go to gravatar and set up new name and pic for the commenting part. Video test:

One upside to this approach is with each Grudge a specific comment, we can comment under each. Also in the post you could put all your wonderful, pithy comments and with “……” after each and copy and paste individual teasers in comment with coordinating link. Sort of teases us into clicking that comment button.

I’ve got an idea … how about I make a graphic for Pete’s Grudge that he can put up as the only item in the grudge with the title and date or whatever he wants.
Folks who visit just for him could easily zip through my stuff to find that graphic.
There’s a button for “reuse old post” even. Using that would make it a cinch for him to post the new grudge each day.
Then he can add each item as a separate comment when he finds it, freeing him from having to keep a new post open for a long time, which seems to make WP cranky.
And we’d get the comment threads to separate our discussions about each thing he posts.
Now … what would capture the Grudge Report in one picture. Hmmm.
