A little boy died of that brain-eating amoeba here this summer. He had been swimming in a lake while attending fishing camp, and it is surmised that somehow the water went up his nose. It was very hot and dry here and apparently the amoeba flourishes in stagnant warm water. By the time they realized what was wrong with him, he had already died. Apparently it takes about 2 weeks from the time one is exposed until death.
I am encouraged that some Fannie and Freddie officials are being sued, but I did not see the name of Franklin Raines as a defendant, did you?
