Just gonna throw a few things together today.We’re going to my oldest daughters house for a cookout and have some fun with some of my other grandchildren.Its supposed to be 101 here,so thank goodness for central air.

      Hoo-Ah! I couldn’t share who was coming or going at the time, because we’re not allowed to discuss troop movements too specifically in public. However, I think it’s okay to say that, as of this July 4th, ALL of my kids are boots dry on U.S. soil! Ooh-Rah! Our flag is waving joyfully today and I am one Happy Blue Star Mama! Thank you for your prayers.

      You, too, Pete. Enjoy the family festivities.

      The 4th is never a holiday for us, because we always have to work in some of the big manufacturing plants that shut down for the week – maintenance and installation of new equipment/machinery. It is always a race to get it done before the plants re-open – there are fines (big ones!) for every hour of delayed opening. But it has kept us fed (and independent!) for 35 years, so we run with it and are happy to have the work. I always treat myself to 3 weeks off at the beach with my extended family after we finish. I need it by then! Internet service is spotty at best, so even though I may not post, I will be doing my best to keep tabs on all of you. Keep the faith. We are going to win in the long run, I am sure of that.
