I bet it is much higher than 1 in 7. I still say he has turned off a lot of young people who will not bother to vote this time. Since they have no jobs, spending gas money to get to the polls will not be a priority.

The more of those kids that stay home on election day, the better. Lowering the voting age to 18 was a huge mistake — they don’t have the kind of life experience you need to be able to make an intelligent choice. They’ve been dependent on adults all their lives and consider it normal to have everything you need handed to you and all your important decisions made for you. I wish we could raise the voting age to twenty-five. Thirty would be even better.

Absolutely right, Bob. The 26th amendment was a big mistake. Maybe the worst mistake ever made. I think we would have avoided much of the disaster of the years since 1992 if that amendment had never been passed.
