Barack and Michelle are often presented to the world as a doting couple with a wonderful marriage.
Yeah, right.
During a recent interview, Michelle bemoaned how hard it is to get it all done saying, “Believe me, as a busy, single mother,” then paused to correct herself.
It’s understandable that the phrase “single mother” would roll off her tongue so readily, since she freely chose to be a single mom right up until Barack moved into the White House.
- From 1997 through 2004, while Barack served in the Illinois State Senate in Springfield, Michelle chose to stay in their south-side Chicago mansion 200 miles away. Both girls were born during this period, Malia in 1998 and Sasha in 2001.
- In 2005, when Barack was elected to the U.S. Senate, Michelle again said no to moving for his job, preferring to stay alone with the girls in Chicago while he lived in Washington, D.C.
When Michelle reluctantly agreed that, in January 2009, she would have to move to the White House, she insisted her mother come with her to “help with the girls.”
Seriously? A woman who chose to be a single mom to a commuting husband for ELEVEN YEARS somehow “needed” her mommy to help her with her two daughters once she had moved into a mansion boasting a staff of more than 60?
Puh-leeze.
To me, it seems much more likely that she felt she needed her mommy to be there during the private, non-staff hours, as an ally and a buffer for her and the girls when they were forced to be in the residence alone with Barry O.
What, you think it’s some accident that Barry and the girls vacation separately so often?

I think you are right about the “marriage” but I do remember reading that it was Laura Bush who suggested to the Obamas just after the election that they consider having Michelle’s mother come to live there, too. Laura was worried that with the girls so young, and the demands on Michelle’s time, that the girls have someone to turn to whenever they needed anything. I think the Obamas came to have lunch with the Bushes, and I read an article just after that lunch that quoted Laura Bush.

Notice how every time they are together as a family, you see barry with his paws all over his oldest daughter. I find it so creepy. What teenage girl allows this from her father?
It is just a diversion, so he does not have to hold hands with his wife.
That’s barack, always plotting to have us looking at what his right hand is doing, so we won’t notice what he is doing with the left.

What I’ve noticed more often is Sasha clinging to and/or hanging on Barack looking like she never gets enough love.

Another thing that might be interesting to look into. Why do you think both of their kids have Russian names? I wonder if they were named after commie friends or other admired Marxists?
OT- but I hate the way spell check automatically capitalizes Obama when I write it with a small o. I guess I will need to write o bama. I do not even respect him enough to capitalize that muslim name.
