The Traitors in the Senate

Last month, the U.S. Senate barely passed an amendment to protect our Second Amendment rights from an anti-gun-rights United Nations treaty.

Before taking office, every Senator took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution.

Senators must swear before taking office

Every Senator who voted AGAINST this amendment is a hypocrite and a traitor.

  • Hypocrite: A person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs.

  • Traitor: A person who betrays a trust or is false to an obligation or duty.

If you don’t like something that’s in the Constitution, we have a legal means for amending it. But so long as it says we have a right to bear arms, then Senators who take an oath to protect that right have no business voting to give it away.

Even if you hate guns, you should be concerned that 46 U.S. Senators were so ready and willing to give away one of our constitutional rights, because one right is as easy to snatch as another.

Surely there are some rights you DO care about. If they take guns away, what will be next? Freedom of the press? Freedom to peaceably assemble? Freedom of speech? Freedom to worship or not, as you choose? Freedom to own property? Freedom to travel where we want?

To repeal an amendment takes a constitutional convention and ratification by 75% of the states. We learned that in 8th grade Civics class. They could never get away with it.So the Rats are trying to put so many restrictions on gun ownership as to make the second amendment virtually meaningless.
