Been an eventful week,hasn’t it?The newswires were mainlining alka-seltzer last night as the Boston Bomber suspect drama went one way then the other.The left was hoping it was the original suspects,a Caucasian man named Michael Mulugeta and a Pakistani ,Sunil Tripathi.Turned out the real culprits were MUSLIM JIHADISTS from Chechnya.The frustration and disappointment coming from MSNBC is palpable.

The brothers robbed a 7/11 last night and hijacked a car.In the pursuit,they threw bombs at policemen in pursuit.A shootout left one policeman dead,one in critical condition and Tamerlan Tsarnaev dead.Tamerlan’s brother,Dzhokar,as of this posting was still at large.I doubt seriously if he surrenders.Jihadists plan on dying along with as many infidels as they can take with them.

My apt mate’s Irish Setter got skunked … twice. (Dumbest Dog Ever.) We lived in a 1 bedroom apartment. With the dog. We only knew to use tomato juice. It was nowhere near effective enough.
I did not know until then that the aroma that is “I smell a skunk” is nothing like the aroma that is “skunk spray up close and in person.” The former is really unpleasant; the latter is somewhere just short of waterboarding. No dog with two brain cells to rub together to go after a skunk a second time. Hence, Dumbest Dog Ever.
I was totally unsurprised to see Irish Setter at the very bottom of a dog breed IQ chart. My apt mate was also a dyed-in-the-wool, hard-core Democrat. She sneered at me for voting against McGovern.
Hope nobody here is a big fan of Irish Setters.

That shelf thing is ingenious! I love the scratching LOL.
One of our cats was a kind of idiot savant. He figured out how to open a bifold aluminum door, the toaster oven and the stove (to get at food), but he never figured out how to cover his own poo.
We kept our litter box in the tub for 2 reasons .. to limit the tracking of litter throughout the apartment and also to keep the puppy from eating cat poop.
This cat who was otherwise some sort of engineering genius would do his business in the sand, in the litter box, then climb out of the box and scrape at the side of the tub over and over.
He’d periodically sniff at his pile and make this funny face/noise that clearly said, “OMG THAT STINKS!” and go back to scraping. After about the third offensive sniff, he’d shrug and jump out of the tub.
He did this EVERY DAY.

My middle dd did that. I have a photo of her with her date. They used silver and camo tape. Every time I look at it, I crinkle my nose at the stink. I have the same reaction when I see the stuff on t.v. You know how kidnap victims all seem to get gagged with duct tape? It makes me crazy. All I can think about is how horrible it smells and ewwwwwwww the glue is on their lips. Have I ever mentioned that I live in 4 rooms with 4 air filters? 🙂
