The gun incident in Chicago because it was a mass shooting, made the media news over here.
The whole situation has been totally misrepresented. One would think that legal guns were used!!
Meanwhile in Australia, yet another person has been stabbed to death, probably by a femme fatale. The murder victim was a cassanova. The police believe that the murderer is a female, probably someone who was crossed in love. In this case the man was naked from the waist down when he was stabbed, suggesting that he had been in close contact with his killer not long before he was stabbed (he died in hospital). I would suggest, considering the increase in the number of murder victims stabbed to death over here, that we should be protesting and demanding that all knives are banned.

There’s a wonderful interview with a gang thug in Larry Elder’s fantastic, changed my mind 180 degrees on guns, documentary, “Michael & Me.” He says, “It don’t matter if you take all our guns away. We’ll still kill each other with knives and bats and chains. It’s not the guns. It’s us. We’re crazy.”

There was another drive-by shoot em up in Sydney overnight.
Hardly a week goes by without an incident… and they are mostly illegal guns involved.

Does it say how Cain killed Abel? I thought Genesis was a little vague on the method.
And I think the bowl of stew incident was later, involving Jacob and Esau, if I remember correctly.

I must’ve just imagined the rock or maybe saw some interpretive drawing of the scene. The Scripture just says, “When they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.” Gen 4:8
I also misremembered Esau and Jacob. Not the stew part. That’s in Genesis 25 – Once, when Jacob was cooking a stew, Esau came in from the open country and said to Jacob, “Let me have some of that; I am famished.” But Jacob replied, “First sell me your right as firstborn.” Esau did it saying, “I am on the point of dying. What good is the right as firstborn to me?”
But I thought they also ended up with one killing the other. Wrong. When their father Isaac is dying, Jacob collects on Esau’s debt by trickery, getting Isaac’s special blessing for the firstborn. Esau swears to kill him, so he runs away for years. (That’s in Genesis 27)

oh Chrissy and I was thinking you were talking about Cain and Abel, not Esau and Jacob.
Esau sold his birthright as the oldest son for a bowl of lentils!!
He was mighty angry and Jacob over that deception but more was to come later when Rebecca used the fleece of a lamb to cover Jacob’s arms so that Isaac thought it was Esau – and he gave the blessing to Jacob.
There was some shennanigans and Esau wanted to kill Jacob. Not sure what happened to Esau but he continued to hold a grudge.
If the holding of a grudge sounds familiar, this is probably the best way to try and understand the behaviours in the M.E. It is all there written in the Old Testament in plain sight!!

Aussie-the other part they are not reporting is that this is gang warfare, often the Mexican gangs vs the black gangs fighting for turf, or with each other. That park where they were shot was a gang hangout. There was a 3 year old baby shot in the head. What responsible parent takes a baby to a gang hangout at 10:30 at night. NONE of the details hit the news media. Meanwhile, Rhambo was in DC for a fundraiser and as usual, BHO says nothing about what is happening in his own back yard.

I have no idea who shot the little boy, but it seems likely that the shooter wasn’t white, or Obozo would be wiping a tear from his eye and telling us that if he had a son, he would look like Deonta Howard.

Some heartening news.
The tea party is alive an well in Chicagoland. I was driving down the tollway today and saw an underpass full of people with American Flags and Impeach Obama! signs. Of course, I honked and had fun waving.

Hope your eyes are better, Pete. I hate that when they dilate them. I have been without my glasses all week because I have to get new lenses. I am so nearsighted I can’t see more than 6 feet in front of me, if that . I have contacs, but I can only wear them so long. I can’t wait to get those glasses back. I think this has been the longest, most headache filled week of my life!
