COVID-19 Update

The highly transmissible, but relatively less problematic Omicron variant is now virtually the only COVID in the U.S.A. Although the best way to herd immunity is let it rip, Lefties are acting like it’s Ebola.

A Jesuit-run high school in Boston is segregating unvaccinated students at lunch behind plexiglass dividers and banning them from sports. Parents and alumni are not happy.

Johns Hopkins University is upping mask requirements to N95s, KN95s, or a combination of a cloth mask with a surgical mask. In addition, all students must be vaxxxed, boosted, test immediately upon arrival and twice weekly thereafter, with quarantines for positive results, and be registered in the Vaccine Management System.

New York’s Gov. Hochul imposed a mask mandate on schools and public locations. But on Monday, a State Supreme Court judge ruled it unconstitutional. Hochul has appealed; a decision is pending.

Virginia school districts are doing all they can to resist Gov. Youngkin’s executive order giving parents sole control over whether their children wear masks. It isn’t clear what authority his order has, but he says his administration is exploring “what we can do and will do in order to make sure that parents’ rights are protected.”

In Missouri, the Attorney General has filed over 30 lawsuits against school districts that force students to wear masks. “There’s a body of evidence that shows the psychological and social harms from the forced masking of kids. So we’re taking them to court. We’re going to fight on behalf of parents and the ability for people, individuals and families to make these decisions themselves.”
