During the pandemic, they pointed out the hypocrisy of the state declaring that liquor stores were “essential”, but places where people could come to work on their physical and mental health had to close. I’d like to ditto that for churches, which were also forced to close, while casinos were allowed to open. After a four year battle, a judge has cleared Smith and Trumbetti of every one of the more than 80 charges New Jersey laid against them.

PSA: A lot of food is wasted because people throw stuff out when it hits the date printed on the package. If kept at proper refrigeration temperatures, eggs last 3-5 weeks beyond the “Sell By” date, but fresh chicken and meat should be consumed or frozen within a day or two of the SB date. “Best If Used By” dates refer to quality, not spoilage. Properly refrigerated milk remains drinkable for about a week after BIUB date. Signs like mold, odors, or strange textures mean it’s time to toss.

One of the September to June school kids finished his year’s curriculum early and has begun on next year’s already. One of the August to May kids got her final report card … ALL A’s, including 100% in Science and Social Studies! The home schooled Mascots had their year end troop (American Heritage Girls and Trail Life) ceremonies and brought home a lot badges and awards, including the one shown above, which is Bunny’s Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award which required she complete 75 – 99 hours of volunteer service in a 12 months period.
