DAILY PRAYER: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

AMERICAN HISTORY: On April 22, 1878, the White House hosted its first official Easter Egg Roll.

CALIFORNICATION: On April 15, the California Supreme Court disbarred attorney John Eastman. The California State Bar claims Eastman, who represented Donald Trump on several legal challenges related to the 2020 election, knowingly peddled unlawful strategies to overturn a legitimate election. Eastman plans to seek review by the U.S. Supreme Court.

CATHOLIC: The Catholic Just War Theory is a doctrine that outlines the conditions under which war can be morally justified. It requires that the damage inflicted by the aggressor must be lasting and grave, all other means of resolution must be impractical, there must be serious prospects of success, and the use of arms must not produce greater evils than those being eliminated.

ISLAMISM: On the evening of August 19, 1978, four Shiite Islamist militants entered the Cinema Rex in Abadan, Iran, doused the structure, lobby and exits with flammable liquid, exited, barred the doors, then set the building on fire. Between 377 and 470 people burned to death for the “crime” of watching a movie. Several of the perpetrators, who had been allied with the revolutionaries who would take over Iran the following year, went on to become members of the post-revolution Iranian parliament.

LEO vs DONALD: There is a long, but worth it article at the link below presenting the (Catholic) author’s conclusion that the feud was nothing more nor less than a Democrat psyop. “The pope didn’t say any of it, not in the context of Trump and Iran.”
