On April 1, Dearest went to the post office to mail our grandson his birthday present. I had pre-printed the label; he went to the desk to fill out the customs form and get it weighed. As of today, the package still had not arrived at its destination in Europe, so I logged into the USPS to check the tracking history. I’m thinking we should’ve waited until April 2 to mail it!

I called the local PO and she said she’d try to “get a picture of it and give you a buzz back.” ::sigh:: I’d be less dismayed if I’d just bought him something I could easily replace, but the fact is that I spent a lot of hours making his gift. Also, his birthday was on the tenth. :-(““
LATER: PO lady called back quite quickly and reported that somebody managed to lose the customs form, so the package is coming back here. “It should be delivered to your house in a couple of days.” Oh goodie! So we get to start all over again!
