The classic heart attack is heavy central chest pain that does not settle, sometimes spreading to the arm, neck or jaw, with sweating, nausea, breathlessness or a sense of dread.
However, women, people with diabetes and older people are far more likely to present without that crushing chest pain. Instead it can be breathlessness, or sudden overwhelming fatigue, or pain in the back or the jaw, or nausea and vomiting that looks like a stomach bug.
CALL 911 when experiencing new, severe or lasting chest discomfort, or chest discomfort at rest, or any of the above combined with sweating, breathlessness or a feeling that something is badly wrong.

TRUMP ECONOMY: As promised, manufacturing and jobs are returning to our shores. The Institute for Supply Management survey for July shows U.S. manufacturing activity has increased to the highest level in more than four years. And the ISM Manufacturing Employment in the United States has hit a new four-year record high for high-paying, family-sustaining jobs.
Construction jobs related directly to factories and trade are soaring under President Donald Trump at 10 times the pace he inherited from former President Joe Biden. In the first quarter of 2025, when Trump took office, the United States only added 9,300 such construction jobs. So far in the third quarter of 2026, America has added 93,000 such construction positions.
