2019 March for Life
MASCOTS FROM THE MARCH: They walked a little over six miles. Dearest walked more, because he was all over the place taking pictures with the new camera he got for Christmas. “By the time we got to the Supreme Court, he was walking very tilted and didn’t look so good. A lovely nursing student took us inside Supreme Court where we had a nurse check him out. He was fine, just needed to rest and re-hydrate! We had some food, did some stretches and got back to Union Station in time for a train back without having to wait.”

MARCH FOR LIFE: Dearest and Mama Buzz are among the thousands marching for life. Currently texting good signs:
- “If bacteria is life on Mars, shouldn’t a heartbeat be life on Earth?”
- “Make womb for life.”
- “Conceived in Rape. I love my life.”
And good news … the Catholic University of America has canceled classes in order to free students and faculty to attend the march. Please pray for good weather and no violence! Continue reading

God’s Artistry
Around sunrise on January 14, Dearest and I were awed by the most exquisite beauty. Every branch was individually flocked with sparkly snow. And as the sun rose, the light and shadows shifted to create ever new patterns. We both tried to capture a bit of the glory with our cameras, with rather disappointing results. The photos are pretty … but the reality was literally breathtaking.

IRELAND’S SHAME: St. Patrick weeps with us all. I googled “black and white snakes” and I think this is a King snake, which is telling. Who is your King, Ireland, Jesus or Satan? Black vs white, good vs evil. Whoa.

MASCOT SURPRISE: The Buzzers kinda thought that moving to the middle of the East Coast would mean no more snow fun. Cuz, really, how much snow can a family of former Alaskans expect south of Canada? Fortunately, they were wrong. SNOWMAN! I understand other folks are less than thrilled, but hey, as long as my grands are happy! But in case you have to drive in the mess …

All the not-wall stuff I didn’t post yesterday. 🙂
My parish church is so pretty. Because of my chemical hypersensitivities, I haven’t seen it in person in about 20 years, but Mama Buzz took pics when they were here.
I’m feeling a tad teary right now. I crocheted these for the grands and Army Princess just texted, “the kids slept with their Grammy nativity last night.” ::sniff:: I’m still working on shepherds/animals and Magi, which will be gifted later. I couldn’t get all of them done for this Christmas, but the girls and I decided that spacing them out would be more fun for the kids anyway. The adults are about 4″ tall.
