Re: Durbin’s integrity and honor

Democratic Whip, Senator Dick Durbin reported that President Trump called some countries “s**tholes” during an immigration meeting with members of Congress.

Other senators who were at the immigration meeting with Durbin and Trump have said they don’t recall Trump saying “s***hole.”

Sen. Chuck Schumer took their statements as a direct assault on Durbin’s integrity.

Well, dang, Chuck. It’s not like Durbin doesn’t have a history of lying and talking trash about Republicans. Let’s consider for example his recent claim that President Trump’s remarks “were hate filled, vile and racist.”

::coughcough:: So, yeah, not at all like that time in 2005, when Durbin got up on the Senate floor and said U.S. troops were like Nazis, Soviets, and Khmer Rouge.

He was forced to get up on the Senate floor again, to apologize, but his apology wasn’t what you’d call “sincere.” His exact words:

“Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line. To them, I extend my heartfelt apologies.”

[That’s kinda like saying, “I’m sorry you’re stupid.”]

In 2013, Durbin was caught straight up lying, alleging that one GOP congressional leader told President Obama, “I can’t even stand to look at you.”

That never happened. He lied.

As for Durbin’s high dudgeon over President Trump calling “chain migration” by the term “chain migration”, puh-leeze. The term “chain migration” has been part of the vernacular surrounding the immigration debate for decades. Suddenly, Durbin decides it’s a racist dog whistle?

“African-Americans believe they migrated to America in chains and when you talk about chain migration, it hurts them personally.”

What a hypocrite. In 2010, Durbin supported chain migration, using that exact term, in his Senate speech about the Dream Act.

But even if Trump said what Durbin said he said, it’s ridiculous for Durbin et al. to be hitting their fainting couches over it. Two years ago, President Obama called Libya a “s***show.”

No liberal heads exploded.

Soldier line for vaccination

1. If your boss tells you to update your Gamma Globulin, Yellow Fever, Malaria, Dysentery, Tetanus and other fun immunizations

2. If the Mobilization NCO tells you not to waste your time bringing a radio, or any other electronics, as there is no electricity and there are no signals.

3. If the monetary exchange rate is greater than 50 to 1 for local currency to US Dollars and your Per Diem is $8 per day or less.

4. If the Area Cultural Briefing is only 30 minutes long, but the briefing on communicable diseases is 3 hours long.

5. If the Area Cultural Briefing includes facts that some leaders in the host country keep young boys as sexual slaves.

6. If the Area Cultural Briefing includes facts that male members of that society have multiple wives, but also engage in sexual activity with barnyard animals.

7. If the Medical Briefing includes recommendations not to walk barefoot, drink the local water, or eat ANY food on the local economy.

8. If the Medical Briefing includes information that the roadside ditches not only serve as flood control, but also as a common latrine.

9. If the Daily Report for your new assignment includes an area for “Number of Personnel Med-Evaced” from theater for unknown diseases.

Is it my imagination?

Or is it just because I live in a right-wing bubble that I see umpteen reports about appallingly bad behavior by Democrats for every one report about annoyingly unrighteous behavior by Republicans?

Here’s the latest one.

On Thursday Democrat NYC Councilmen Jumanne Williams and Ydannis Rodriguez were arrested for repeatedly blocking an ambulance holding a patient on the way to the hospital.

The Democrats were protesting against President Trump and ICE over an illegal alien activist being held for deportation.

Jumaane was actually proud of his lawlessness and theatrics that put other people’s lives in danger.

FAKE NEWS: The Wall Street Journal?

Of all the news sources I never would’ve suspected …

Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit says the WSJ has been hating on Trump since he announced his intention to run for president.

On Friday, the WSJ published a report that Trump associates paid off a former porn star after a fling with Donald Trump in 2006.

There is no proof. There is no evidence. It is all hearsay. Trump denies it. His lawyer denies.  EVEN THE PORN STAR DENIES IT.

CNN and the liberal news media ran with the salacious story anyway.

Hoft continued, exposing another WSJ lie — i.e., that Trump said he has a good relationship with Kim Jong Un. What the president actually said was that he WOULD have one, not that he DID have one.

Doesn’t it kind of expose the whole “Trump just cares about big business” meme as a Big Fat Lie, given that the WSJ is so ANTI-Trump?

Bill Clinton is a liar

We knew this, of course. He lost his law license for lying under oath. But he apparently didn’t learn anything about the value of honesty or the cost of getting caught, cuz he’s been outed for lying again.

When Hillary presumed to chastise President Trump for allegedly calling Haiti a “sh**hole nation,” a bunch of folks pointed out that the Clintons had a lot of responsibility for the current condition of Haiti, since they had looted Haiti relief money to pay for Chelsea’s wedding.

Bill Clinton tweeted,

No Clinton Foundation funds—dedicated to Haiti or otherwise—were used to pay for Chelsea’s wedding. It’s not only untrue, it’s a personal insult to me, to Hillary, and to Chelsea and Marc.

He included a link to a WaPo “fact checker” article saying it wasn’t true. Cuz we ALL really TRUST the Washington Post about anything to do with the Clintons, right? ::snort::

A number of companies that received contracts in Haiti happened to be entities that made large donations to the Clinton Foundation. The Haitian contracts appeared less tailored to the needs of Haiti than to the needs of the companies that were performing the services. Important Info for Pregnant Ladies

Check your prenates for choline. Prenatal vitamins have not contained it in the past, but research has inspired the AMA to vote to include it. I dunno how long it’ll take manufacturers to get a round tuit, though, so if yours does not contain choline, seriously consider buying it separately. It’s important to brain development.

Chelsea Elizabeth Manning (born Bradley Edward Manning, December 17, 1987) is a former United States Army soldier who was convicted by court-martial in July 2013, of violations of the Espionage Act and other offenses, after disclosing to WikiLeaks nearly 750,000 classified, or unclassified but sensitive, military and diplomatic documents. She was serving a 35-year sentence at the maximum-security U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth until President Obama commuted her sentence a few days before leaving office.

On January 9th, she tweeted this to celebrate Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

An editorial in The Washington Times asks, “Are you better off than you were two years ago?” Duh, yeah!

In 2017, the U.S. unemployment rate fell to 4.4%, the lowest rate since 2000 and Americans’ optimism about the U.S. job market hit record highs.

Holiday retail sales during the final two months of 2017 not only exceeded forecasts, but also showed the strongest gain since the Great Recession. The National Retail Federation credited growing wages, stronger employment, and higher consumer confidence.

Toyota Motor Corp and Mazda Motor Corp have announced they will build a $1.6 billion joint assembly plant in Alabama. This plant will employ up to 4,000 workers and will produce 300,000 vehicles a year.
