I'm a 60 something wife, mom and grandmom who is homebound/disabled by severe hypersensitivity to chemicals. I fill my days with learning, loving and art. My favorite values are truth, generosity and gratitude.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Please grant us the graces we need to live the Gospel boldly. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
DEMOCRATS: Still into lynching.
DOJ: AG Bondi is dropping a Biden lawsuit against the state of Georgia over a 2021 election law that accused the state of racial discrimination. Since the law was passed, Black voter turnout has increased.
MILITARY: SecDef Hegseth says there will no longer be separate fitness standards for men and women in the military who will be serving in combat or combat-related roles.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Fill our hearts with a deeper love for Your Son’s sacrifice and greater joy in His victory over death. In His Holy Name, we pray. Amen.
CATHOLIC: The fourth Sunday in Lent is known as Laetare Sunday. It is a time for joy and reflection in anticipation of Easter. It gets its name from the first word of the traditional Latin entrance verse for the Mass of the day. “Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice greatly with her, all you who mourn over her.” – Isaiah 66:10.
COLUMBIA: [5:41] – Proof that education doesn’t fix stupid.
COVID-19: Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong is a veteran surgeon and immunologist who has spent a career studying the human immune system’s fight against cancer. In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson (link below), he discusses the alarming rise in cancer cases, particularly among younger people. He links them to both the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection and mRNA vaxxxine that exposed billions of human beings to the vicious spike protein that is “silently undermining the immune system’s natural defenses against cancer on a global scale.”
NEW JERSEY: CLICK https://x.com/unlimited_ls/status/1905674406900253049 [3:46] to see the Democrat Mayor of Lumberton unload a toddler from her car, then fail a sobriety test. Her blood alcohol content was so high that she needed to be taken to the hospital.
WHO ARE THEY REALLY? Dr. Bastiat writes at Ricochet – “Conservatives tend to support freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to buy whatever light bulbs make you happy, and so on. Leftism tends to be based more on centralized control systems, and is more comfortable with censorship and government involvement in things like light bulbs and gas stoves. Political violence is a feature of the left, presumably because you sometimes need violence to get someone to do something that they normally wouldn’t do. Conservatives don’t need violence to get people to do whatever they want.”
DAILY PRAYER: Eternal rest grant unto them, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
CLIMATE HOAX: Also in 2006 … Al Gore released “An Inconvenient Truth.” Nothing these hustlers predicted came true.
FASCISTS: One of the characteristics of fascism is “violent suppression of the opposition.” CLICK https://www.facebook.com/reel/23955106814076109 to hear the Speaker call out Chuck Schumer for inciting violence.
HEALTH: [5:33] – GLP-1 plays a crucial role in regulating blood sugar, appetite, and digestion. It’s what drugs like Ozempic mess with. These doctors explain how you can naturally support your body’s GLP-1 production.
NEW YORK: President Donald Trump has withdrawn the nomination of Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. “With a very tight majority, I don’t want to take a chance on anyone else running for Elise’s seat.”
POLLSTERS: I read somewhere that Rasmussen is “right-leaning.” In reality, they only appear that way, because so many of the other pollsters regularly shill for the Dems.
QUAKE: A massive 7.7 magnitude earthquake rattled Thailand and Burma on Friday, causing buildings to collapse and leaving more than 150 people dead across both countries.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Please bless us today with the graces we need to love the people who annoy us the most. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
BORDER: According to an arrest report, the 14-year-old victim told police he was in the sauna on board a Royal Caribbean cruise liner when the two suspects began to pleasure themselves in front of him. They then touched him and forced him to touch them; one forced the kid to perform a sex act on him while the other molested him. Both perps are illegals with ICE detainers on them; one has HIV.
CONFIRMED: Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who was an outspoken critic of measures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic, was confirmed yesterday by a Senate vote of 53–47 to head the National Institutes of Health (NIH). One of the 13 agencies managed by HHS, the NIH is the largest supporter of biomedical research in the world. It funds around $50 billion in scientific research via grants to hundreds of thousands of researchers at academic institutions and hospitals.
COURTS: On March 18, Maryland-based U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang ordered Trump to put the USAID back together. Yesterday, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals put a hold on the order. I’m no kind of legal beagle, but I think it’s ironic that Chuang claimed that Trump’s order to end USAID violated the constitutional doctrine of separation of powers. So far as I know, USAID is/was part of Trump’s branch, not Chuang’s.
In other news, a federal judge in Alaska ruled on Tuesday that Biden’s Department of the Interior (DOI) acted unlawfully when it canceled seven oil and gas leases issued by the Trump administration for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).
ELECTION INTEGRITY: Yesterday, Trump signed an executive order directing federal officials to take steps to make sure illegal immigrants and other non-citizens do not vote in federal elections.
INCITING VIOLENCE: Who are the fascists? – CLICK https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/1904201103836672416 [:26] to hear Democrat Representative Jasmine Crocket (TX-30) say, “I think that you punch. I think you punch. I think you okay with punching … Ted Cruz, I mean like this dude has to be knocked over the head hard, like hard.”
OOPS: “So dangerous. So incompetent.” Hmm … I’m trying to remember these guys having kittens about then-SecState Hillary’s personal server leaking classified information to the ChiComs. [12:32] – Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic was invited to join a Signal app group consisting of 18 members of the White House National Security Council, including Vice President JD Vance and Sec. of Defense Pete Hegseth.
PENNSYLVANIA: Two months ago, Allentown School Board member, LaTarsha Brown (42) reported finding a noose at her desk on the third floor of City Hall. After she refused to give a DNA sample, a court compelled her to submit and, oopsie, now she’s been charged with making false reports and tampering with or fabricating evidence.
Another fake hate crime perpetrated by a successful Black person? What is with their need to be seen as victims? It reminds me of a surgery scene I saw recently in an episode of “Good Doctor.” During a discussion of discrimination against women, Dr. Sean Murphy remarks, “I’m glad things are better now.” The surgeons, anesthetist, and nurses – all females – immediately glare at him and the lead surgeon, who is also female (and Black) Chief of Surgery, says, “What are you talking about?” He says, “I’m the only man here.” Exactly. Take the win, people. It’s time to move on.
RHODE ISLAND: Providence Public School District (PPSD) has a program designed to forgive student loans for teachers of color. Trump’s DOJ is investigating if it constitutes racial discrimination against White teachers.
BEVERLY CLEARY: She looks exactly like I always imagined Ramona to be. 🙂
At six years old, little Beverly was put on academic probation after first grade. Her biggest problem was reading. The assigned books were all boring educational stories about polite children. It was thanks to a school librarian’s friendly encouragement that the girl finally liked to read.
After college, Beverly began working as a children’s librarian. She still found children’s books boring. Dick and Jane weren’t at all like lively, curious, funny, angry, or unruly like real kids. So Beverly Cleary became an author herself.
She wrote Ramona the Pest, Henry Huggins, Ribsy, The Mouse and the Motorcycle – more than 40 books in all. Her books won dozens of awards, sold more than 90 million copies, and are still beloved today. Not bad for the little girl who didn’t like to read. [Text from a Facebook post.]
BORDER: Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner and Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem have partnered their agencies to end taxpayer-funded public housing for illegals. U.S. veterans stand to benefit from the move.
COLORADO: The State of Colorado is removing the atrocious portrait of President Donald Trump that they hung in their State Capitol building. Like the artist (who is apparently quite capable of painting a beautiful portrait), the Democrats who control the state legislature showed their true colors when they sneered rather than apologized. “If the GOP wants to spend time and money on which portrait of Trump hangs in the Capitol, then that’s up to them.”
ELON MUSK: [7:58] – Loose lips are going to start sinking ships.
GRIFTERS: [1:55] – This makes me so angry. Dearest is an architect. He doesn’t get paid until he produces a satisfactory outcome for his client. These schmucks get rewarded with billion$ for not producing satisfactory outcomes for We The Taxpayers!
MILITARY: SecDef Hegseth has been working closely with DOGE and has rung up $800 million in cuts to wasteful spending. One of the biggies was a human resources software development program that was supposed to take one year and cost $36 million. It’s been going for eight years, has run $280 million over budget, yet it still doesn’t do what it was supposed to do!
S&G: Trump has canceled hundreds of thousand$ in contracts to provide education on “food justice for queer and transgender farmers” in San Francisco and New York. Dunno what that means exactly, though I’m thinking it’s likely code for “grift.”
Estimated wait times for an ER visit in Canada: 16 hours and 45 minutes. CLICK https://hospitalstats.org/ER-Wait-Time/ to see what the wait time is where you live. Mine is 3 hrs and 3 minutes. I went a while back with chest pain, saw a triage nurse quickly, and was rushed through for blood work. We did have to go back to the waiting room to await the test results, but a nurse fast tracked me through the finish up so we could get home asap. My heart is fine; my primary sent me to a gastro clinic where I found out I have a hiatal hernia, which can cause chest pain similar to heart attack.
SHEEPLE: I was thinking about how the Pharisees incited a mob to shout for Pontius Pilate to free Barabbas. It reminded me a lot of Democrats. A few know what they’re doing. The rest mindlessly follow wicked leaders.
SNOW WHITE: [17:12] – Comment on video – “So watched it with my 5 year old daughter and she was getting bored halfway. She asked the obvious question why is she called Snow White? I said bc her skin is White as Snow. She said but her skin isn’t white, she has a tan. Next day she wanted to watch the original and she was glued to it. She loved the animals and the songs. Was scared at the Scary parts and loved when the prince saves Snow White with a kiss. The original has a much better ending that actually makes sense to the target audience.”
TARIFFS: They work just like Trump said they would. Rolls Royce and Hyundai have announced plans to invest billion$ on building new car manufacturing plants inside the U.S.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, We pray that one day all people come to faith in Yeshua Messiah. Amen.
FAKE NEWS: Heads up, friends. The entire “Elite Stories” YouTube channel @ https://www.youtube.com/@EliteStoriesYT is FICTION that is presented as serious “news” type reporting of “real” events. It seems to be designed specifically to spread fake news to conservatives, maybe so we’ll mindlessly pass it around and then get called on how “stupid” we are. Or maybe it’s just click bait made by some basement-dweller while noshing on Cheetos and sucking down Red Bull.
JUDGE BOASBERG: U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg is so dirty! – Boasberg is the judge who is trying to stop Trump’s deportation efforts. CLICK https://www.facebook.com/reel/656603713525344 to hear two reasons why he should have recused himself from this case.
Boasberg, the chief judge of the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., was appointed to the bench nearly 15 years ago by President Barack Obama. During his tenure on the FISA court, he authorized surveillance of certain members of Trump’s 2016 campaign.
After returning full-time to the federal bench, he declined to recuse himself from the sentencing of former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith, who had pleaded guilty to doctoring a 2017 email asking to extend FISA permission for the wiretapping of a member of the Trump campaign. Boasberg sentenced him to 12 months of probation and 400 hours of community service.
It will come as no surprise that he clerked for the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals before later joining the Justice Department as a federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C.
JUDGE REYES: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth joined the mounting criticism of federal judges by President Donald Trump on Saturday, mocking the judge who blocked a ban on transgender troops in the U.S. military and suggesting she had exceeded her authority.
NASA: A NASA spokesman said the astronauts who were trapped at the International Space Station since June 2024 have been classified as ‘on official travel orders as federal employees’, which got them a whopping $5 per day extra in their pay packets. CLICK https://x.com/TrumpWarRoom/status/1903117558498066781 [1:27] to hear Trump promise that, if NASA won’t give appropriate compensation, he’ll pay them out of his own pocket.
Also, prayers for Mia Love of Utah, a daughter of Haitian immigrants who became the first Black Republican woman elected to Congress. On Sunday, she lost her battle against brain cancer. She was 49.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank you in a special way today for all the utilities that are delivered right to our homes. Bless all those who work so hard to maintain them. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
CATHOLIC: From Facebook “Catholic Memes” today – “Is this blasphemous??”
Probably not blasphemy but liturgically incorrect. The green squares should be violet for Lent.
It’s incomplete; the queen needs to be a statue of Saint Mary too.
And the bishops should be popes.
COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY: Having decided its hatred for Israel is not worth losing $400 million in federal grants, the university has agreed to implement a raft of policy changes.
DEPARTMENT of EDUCATION: Administration of federal student loans is moving to the Small Business Administration (SBA). Oversight of funding and some programming for students with special needs is moving to the Department of Health and Human Services.
KENTUCKY: On Thursday, Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear vetoed a bill to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives at the state’s public colleges and universities.
MISSOURI: On Thursday, Cortney Merritts was indicted on federal charges of submitting false applications to the Small Business Administration (SBA) in 2020 and 2021. The indictment alleges he fraudulently obtained more than $20,000 in COVID-19 relief funds combined from the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), both of which were established to support businesses economically harmed by the pandemic.
Merritts is the husband of former Missouri Democratic Congresswoman and “Squad” member, Cori Bush. The DOJ is already investigating Bush’s alleged abuse of office expense funds, including paying her husband $150,000 to serve as her bodyguard.
In 2023 she introduced a bill to give black Americans a ridiculous $14 trillion (yes, trillion with a ‘t’) in “reparations” for slavery. CLICK https://x.com/haleytalbotcnn/status/1421438006561411079 [2:20] to see her crocodile-tear-laden stunt from 2021. It’s interesting how carefully positioned the Ruffles and Oreos are. I’m wondering if she got ad money from Frito-Lay and Mondelez International. It’s a shame she didn’t use her platform to address black obesity and diabetes, problems that are largely attributable to atrocious eating habits.
GRAMMY NOTES: Totally depends on the tone of voice used for the “Offer it up.” My mother used to say it like, “Don’t bother me with your stupid problems.” It took me decades to figure out there is actually a blessed and meaningful way to offer up one’s sufferings and also a kind and compassionate way to suggest someone else do it.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Please bless all our pollinators, especially the one-ell ones who read this blog! In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen!
DEMOCRAT TERRORISM: Yesterday, AG Bondi announced that three of the domestic terrorists who attacked Tesla dealerships or products face federal charges. “The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended. Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”
DEPT of “EDUCATION”: Yesterday, Trump signed an executive order to begin dismantling the federal swamp thing that Jimmy Carter created in 1979. In his speech, the president promised that the good things the department has done – e.g., loans and financial aid for poor students – will be moved to other agencies, while the nuisance-y things will end so the states can go back to their constitutional job of managing education for themselves.
In other news, a new study shows that home-schooled students are more likely to report positive mental health outcomes, to be married and have children, to volunteer in their communities, and to believe in God. Those who spent at least eight years being educated at home enjoy the lowest levels of depression and anxiety, the highest levels of optimism, gratitude, and life satisfaction, and were the least likely to say they “feel helpless dealing with life’s problems.”
FBI: The fibbies have gotten back to doing their real jobs. Last year, they apprehended zero of their Top Ten Most Wanted. In the eight weeks since Trump took over, they tracked down and arrested three.
GEORGIA: A judge has ordered the office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to turn over documents illegally withheld from Trump staffer, Michael Roman, and his defense team. The judge noted that Willis’ repeated failures to produce those records “were intentional, not done in good faith, and were substantially groundless and vexatious” and ruled that Willis’ office must pay $54,000 to cover attorneys’ fees wasted on suing to obtain records to which they had ever right.
MEXICO: Mexican authorities are investigating a site believed to have used by one of the area’s cartels known as the New Generation Jalisco Cartel. Inside its iron gates are cremation ovens, bone fragments, hundreds of pairs of shoes, clothing and even children’s toys. Among the hundreds of personal items is a spiral notebook; one page reads (in Spanish), “My love, if one day I don’t come back, I only ask you to remember how much I love you.”
VISAS: “I don’t know when we’ve gotten it in our head that a visa is some sort of birthright. It is not. It is a visitor into our country, and if you violate the terms of your visitation, you are going to leave.” — U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio
WOKE: CLICK https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1902872890803904914 [:20] to hear Ana Navarro express her disbelief that Trump supporters haven’t started to regret their votes. We’re “gleeful” … can you imagine?!
Navarro is a Nicaraguan-American political strategist and commentator who appears on various television programs and news outlets, including CNN, CNN en Español, ABC News, and Telemundo. She is also a co-host of the daytime talk show The View.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, We ask today for saintly courage. Embolden us to live the faith out loud in a culture that worships getting along above getting saved. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
HEALTH: A study entitled “Nature exposure induces analgesic effects by acting on nociception-related neural processing” was recently published in a journal called Nature Communications. In it, researchers report that exposure to nature appears to reduce the brain’s perception of pain.
The new findings help explain a phenomenon first observed over four decades ago by American researcher Roger Ulrich, who discovered that hospital patients with views of green spaces used fewer painkillers and recovered more quickly than those who looked at brick walls. Until now, scientists couldn’t explain why this occurred.
Although the analgesic effect of viewing nature is not as significant as that achieved by drugs, I’m in favor of anything that reduces my need for said drugs.
JFK ASSASSINATION: Around 80,000 pages of files have been released by the Trump administration. Some of the stuff is featured at the Not The Bee link below. One item is a file dated July 19, 1967, that has been spread online. It says that, on the day after the assassination, a CIA employee named Gary Underhill told friends that a small clique within the CIA was responsible for the assassination and that he afraid for his life. Less than six months later, Underhill was found shot to death in his Washington apartment. Despite several factors pointing to foul play, the coroner ruled it a suicide.
NOT THE GOOD GUYS: When Bud Light went woke, we didn’t torch convenience stores or vandalize property. We just stopped buying Bud Light. Thanks to the fact that Teslas come with multiple built-in cameras, we are able to watch the freaks in action. The videos are resulting in arrests and charges of felony vandalism.
PRESS ONE FOR ENGLISH: Trump has canceled language translation services for people calling a federal government hotline. If you are in need of American government help, it’s up to you to learn English.
DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, We beg you today and every day to give the people of this nation the wisdom and courage to protect life at all stages. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
MIDDLE EAST: SecState Rubio says Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen have interfered with international shipping lanes more than 300 times in the past 18 months. On March 15, President Trump ordered airstrikes on Houthi-held areas in Yemen. SecDef Hegseth said we’ll stop our attacks the minute the Houthis promise to stop theirs.
GRAMMY NOTES: Attempting to maneuver through a very crowded dining room, I asked a fellow to scootch in so I could get by. He started to gripe at me that there was plenty of room until he turned his head enough to see it wasn’t just me, but also my 38 week pregnant belly.
