Planned Parenthood: Where Profit Is #1

PP aborting dead babies

A Nurse Practitioner named Angie quit her job at Planned Parenthood after she was ripped a new one for not selling an abortion to a woman whose baby had died in utero.

  • Angie: “I got her where she needed to be, over to the emergency room.”
  • Boss: “No, you did not. Why didn’t you send her to Dallas for an abortion?”
  • Angie: “Because she wasn’t here for an abortion, and her baby was dead. So I would’ve sent her to you and you would’ve done an ultrasound and then you would’ve told her.”
  • Boss: “No, we wouldn’t have. When we do the ultrasound, all we’re doing is sizing the pregnancy so that we know what kind of abortion to do. They’ve already signed consent for their abortion, so we don’t tell them if their baby is dead or alive or twins or triplets.”

“Planned Parenthood’s bottom line is numbers. And, with abortion as its primary money-maker, that means implementing a quota. I know this is true because I worked at one of their Texas clinics for 8 years, two as the clinic director.” —Abby Johnson, founder of And Then There Were None, a pro-life ministry to aid abortion workers like Angie desiring to leave the business.

Arizona steps up

ABORTION civilized people

May 17, 2016: Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey signed legislation that gives new powers to the director of the state’s Medicaid program to disqualify dangerous and/or scofflaw health care providers from receiving Medicaid reimbursals.  Reasons include:

  • neglecting a patient in a way that results in death or injury;
  • failing to complete mandatory reports of sexual assault or statutory rape;
  • failing to segregate tax dollars to ensure none goes to pay for elective abortions.

That last one includes accounting for all overhead expenses like rent, lights and heat, because Planned Parenthood is well known for sliming past “no tax dollars for abortion” laws by putting tax moneys into paying basic expenses for the facility in which abortions are performed.

In 2012, a federal court blocked Arizona’s attempts to disqualify abortion groups from Medicaid outright.

Lawmakers believe this is new law will survive legal challenge, because it simply allows the state agency to suspend any organization that does not obey the law.

If the organization corrects its problems, it could once again become part of the Medicaid program. This is no different than a restaurant that gets shut down for health violations.

Another State Bans Dismemberment

Alabama’s Governor Robert Bentley signed the “Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act” (S.B. 363) yesterday. Kansas, Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Mississippi have also banned the procedure and similar legislation is pending in Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, and Nebraska.

Dismemberment abortions are formally known as Dilation and Evacuation (D & E) abortions. They account for 96% of all second-trimester abortions. During a D & E abortion, the abortionist reaches into the womb with cutting, gripping, and crushing tools and literally tears the unborn child limb-from-limb.

In the second trimester, unborn babies not only feel pain, but actually experience it more intensely than we do, because they have not yet developed the ability to dissociate.

Liberal Hypocrisy waterboarding D&E

Yesterday, Gov. Bentley also signed another law that would prevent abortion facilities from locating within 2,000 feet of a public school. Pro-aborts are expected to tie both laws up in court challenges as soon as possible.

Their doctors were wrong

Although science has recently discovered the ability of babies in the womb to “self-correct” abnormalities, doctors continue to pressure parents to abort their unborn because they might be disabled.

  • Titus’ mother was told her son would practically be a vegetable. She said no to abortion. Titus (who does have spina bifida) is very intelligent and able. He hit all his milestones at or before date. He goes to school and enjoys sports.
  • At 20-weeks, Ciaran’s mother was told her son would likely be born paralyzed, incontinent, and have no quality of life. She said no to abortion. Ciaran, now three, has no health problems and is developing like any other toddler.
  • Donna’s unborn daughter was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Donna said no to abortion and learned at birth that the diagnosis was wrong. The same thing happened to Jennifer.
  • B was told 3 times to abort her twins because one of them had Downs. She said no. They were both born healthy.
  • Phil’s neighbor was told her unborn child had severe issues and she should abort it. She said no. Her handsome, healthy, 20-something son went through school in the gifted and talented program.
  • Hadassah was two months along when she started bleeding. The ultrasound showed an empty fetal sac, with no heartbeat. The doctor wanted to do a D&C to remove the dead baby. She asked for some time to talk to God and her Rabbi. The next ultrasound a normal for two months fetal sac and a heartbeat. Her son was born healthy at 37 weeks.
  • Rachel’s doctors said her baby had too little amniotic fluid and was sure to die, so she should abort him. Alfie’s parents said no to abortion. Later in the pregnancy, the doctors said Alfie was likely to be born without kidneys and no lung function. The parents again said no to abortion. Then the doctors said he might have a squashed face or club foot as well. Alfie was born with no health problems at all.

The Left NEVER Talks About This Stuff

Christina was nine weeks* pregnant when she went to Planned Parenthood at the urging of her fiancé. She already had a four-month-old baby at home, and her health was poor. Christina describes the type of “counseling” she received at Planned Parenthood:

The counselor asked me if I was being forced into it. Asked me if I was making this decision 100% on my own. She advised me to make sure this was what I wanted.

She then proceeded to tell me that the process will be pretty easy… and that I wouldn’t see anything. They didn’t ever use the word baby. They always just said “it” or “tissue” or “the process”. They never said anything about the level of development. They did tell me it would be too small to see anything.

The pill was not at all what Planned Parenthood told me it would be. They said I would feel like heavy period. It felt like HELL! It was worse than labor with my son.

Within two hours of taking the second set of pills I had the baby in the toilet. When I turned around there it was in the sack and everything. I broke open the sack and held the helpless little baby in my hand. I cried and felt like I had just murdered someone so innocent.

7 weeks gestational - medical abortion

Even after losing her baby into the toilet, Christina’s ordeal was not over. Within days she was rushed, bleeding, to the ER. She continued to have painful contractions for two weeks.

I regretted it 100% after that night. Nothing can truly prepare you for an abortion no matter what route you take. I’m still struggling with it and have nightmares about it all the time. I always ask myself, “What if I never did it?”

Ever since that night I felt horrible and ashamed. I have another son, and it breaks my heart to think I could have two right now. … I wish more people could know what a baby really looks like at 9 weeks. ONLY 9 WEEKS.*

*9 week since the first day of the Last Menstrual Period. Conception generally occurs about 14 days later, so the dead child she fished out of the toilet was at 7 weeks gestation.

Constitutional Hypocrisy

The Left only cites the Constitution when it suits them.  Otherwise, they consider it out-dated and deeply flawed.  Plus, the right to life, religious liberty, and private gun ownership are specifically and clearly stated in the Constitution, whereas the alleged right to murder unborn humans is found in the “penumbra” of the right to privacy.  Pft.  [Penumbra: The partly shadowed area between what is clearly seen and what is too dark to see.  Used particularly when describing a lunar eclipse.]

ABORTION constitutional hypocrisy

Leftists also say quite often that “nobody is pro-abortion.”  Doublt pft.  The photo is of a pro-abortion display put together by the campus atheist club last week at the University of North Georgia. It featured cookies shaped like fetuses. The person who took the pictures said pro-abortion folks were laughing as they broke the heads off the cookies.

Left vs. Right: Values

ABORTION left vs right

A November 2014 poll conducted by The Polling Company found that just 13% of Americans believe abortion should be legal for any reason and essentially at any time during pregnancy. In other words, just 13% of Americans agree with Hillary Clinton on abortion.

While campaigning for the presidency, Hillary Clinton has called state efforts to deal with unborn pain, dismemberment abortions, informed consent, parental involvement, and webcam abortions “a dangerous trend.”

In April 2015, she said that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed” before abortion would be legal everywhere in the world.

In May 2015, she decried the U.S. House for passing the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act which sought to protect unborn babies 20 weeks and older from excruciating dismemberment abortions. She claimed (falsely) that the idea that unborn babies experience pain is founded on bad science.

In August 2015, she likened pro-life activists to terrorists.

This month, on CNN, she said that easy, legal access to abortion “goes to the heart of who we are as women, our rights, our autonomy, our ability to make our own decisions, and we need to be talking about that and defending Planned Parenthood.”

Angels Working Overtime

This is such an inspiring story.  This woman made NINE appointments to abort her baby.  Every one fell through!  I’m thinking angels. 🙂

She finally got so frustrated, she went to a life affirming, faith-based pregnancy resource center that offered her a free ultrasound to help her in making her pregnancy decision.

The moment she saw her baby on the screen, she made the decision to do whatever she could to save the life of her child.

An ultrasound at the ABC Women’s Center changed everything [5:02]
