Main Stream Media Bias Is Real
Below are the headlines and first paragraphs from two news sources about the same story. One is by LifeNews, an unabashedly anti-abortion news aggregator serving the pro-life community. The other is by Associated Press, an allegedly unbiased world news aggregator allegedly serving American voters. I’m passing this on for two reasons. One, it’s good news for the unborn. Two, it highlights in a stark and blatant way just how left-biased Associated Press really is.
May 12, 2014 by LifeNews: “Kansas Wins Court Battle to De-Fund Planned Parenthood Abortion Business”
Several states in the last couple of years have taken steps to yank taxpayer funding from the Planned Parenthood abortion business. In each case, the abortion giant has taken the state to court in an attempt to force taxpayers to finance its grisly trade.
Planned Parenthood has admitted defeat in its lawsuit against Kansas after its state legislature dropped funding. Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri dropped its legal challenge Friday. The organization filed a brief stipulation of dismissal Friday in U.S. District Court in Kansas.

May 9, 2014 by Associated Press: “Planned Parenthood drops Kansas funding challenge”
Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri dropped its legal challenge Friday to a Kansas law that stripped two of its Kansas clinics of federal money for family planning, leaving uncertain the impact to its low-income patients in Wichita and Hays who depend upon them for reproductive health care services.
The organization filed a brief stipulation of dismissal Friday in U.S. District Court in Kansas.

Later in the stories, both news aggregators explained that the Kansas law was about Title X federal family planning funding.
LifeNews said PP became ineligible “when the state enacted an annually-renewed proviso that such money go to full-service public health clinics and hospitals.”
The AP version was cleverly written to give the distinct impression that Kansas law-makers just wanted to stop low income people getting any help from Title X moneys.
The Kansas law actually INCREASED the availability of services by shunting the money ONLY to full-service facilities. Note: Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms.
Here’s how AP covered up the reality of the effect of the Kansas law and pandered to poor widdle PP, the organization that SUED Kansas for trying to ensure low income women HAD access to mammograms.
“We take seriously our duty to defend Kansas law against legal challenges,” Attorney General Derek Schmidt said in a written statement. “This law was successfully defended.”
His statement did not address what provisions, if any, the state was making to provide low-cost reproductive services that had been funded through federal planning dollars at the clinics. His office referred that question to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, which did not immediately respond to phone messages.
Did you catch this? The AG’s statement about Kansas winning the court case did not include information about the contents of the law that was under challenge.
- Oh my. How HORRIBLE of the man to only speak to the actual news of the day.
- And THEN that meany-pants AG, who is no doubt a woman-hating Repukelican, told the AP reporter to do her own homework. The NERVE!
- And THEN that HORRIBLE Kansas Department of Health and Environment did not IMMEDIATELY respond!
I mean … what could they POSSIBLY have to do that would be more important than waiting breathlessly by the phone 24-7 hoping for a chance to explain public information to AP reporters who are too lazy to GOOGLE?!

Yahoo!! The Gosnell movie has been FUNDED!
Less than two months ago, “FrackNation” directors Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney set before themselves the monumental task of raising 2.1 million to make a film about Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell via Indiegogo.
Today, just a few days shy of their deadline, McAleer and McElhinney met their minimum fundraising goal. The way Indiegogo works, if they had not met their selected goal by their deadline date, NO money would be collected from donors and the movie would not get made.
McAleer and McElhinney are GOOD PEOPLE. I own all the documentaries these two have made and I helped crowd-fund FrackNation. Dearest even went to the showing in Binghamton and met Phelim.
Trust me. You can donate with confidence. Your money will be used carefully and appropriately.
Historic crowdfunding for movie about abortionist Kermit Gosnell
For a few more days, you can help fund this important project. Yes, they’ve reached their goal. But that was a minimum. Movie making is really expensive! So I’m certain more money will be welcome and used carefully.
My personal fave is the “With Perks” option of a $25 contribution that gets you a free copy of the DVD mailed to your home when it comes out. I did this for FrackNation and the DVD came. And as they say, it really is fun to say, “I helped finance this!”

A prophetic warning: The smile of heaven on America
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, author of the best selling “The Harbinger” spoke at a one-of-a-kind prayer meeting called “Washington: A Man of Prayer, 2014.”
The event commemorated the events of April 30, 1789, when, after being sworn in at Federal Hall, Washington, accompanied by Congress, proceeded to St. Paul’s Chapel where, as one of his first official acts, he offered a prayer of dedication to God on America’s behalf.
Cahn quoted Washington’s address and his warning that the new nation could not expect to prosper if it forgot God:
“The propitious smile of heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which heaven itself hath ordained.”
Cahn continued: “We stand tonight on Capitol Hill, in the city named after the one who gave that prophetic warning, to ask, can a nation drive out the name of God from its public square, and the Word of God from its schools and the ways of God from its culture and still expect the smiles of God to shine upon it?
“Can the blood of 50 million unborn children cry out to heaven from this land and the smiles of heaven still remain?
“Members of Congress, can a government call evil good and good evil and forge laws that war against the laws of the Almighty and the smiles of heaven still remain?
“Supreme Court justices, can you strike down the statutes of the Almighty and overturn the judgments of the Most High and still expect the smiles of heaven to remain?
“Mr. President, can you place your left hand on the Word of God to assume your office and with your right hand sign laws which break the very Word upon which you swore and still expect the smiles of heaven to remain?
“The voice of our first president cries out to us tonight and answers, no you cannot do so and still expect the smiles of heaven to remain on this land.”

If you have not read/seen Cahn’s epic work, The Harbinger, I strongly recommend you do so and sooner rather than later.

Abortion: It’s not about helping women
A civil case called DHMH v. Glenn has been heard in court and a decision is expected in the next few weeks.
Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene has sued Andrew Glenn, Director of the Maryland Coalition for Life, for legally requesting access to open records related to abortion providers under Maryland’s Public Records Law.
DHMH claims it would be a Very Bad Thing if Marylanders got to learn stuff about abortion clinics that they have a total right to learn about any other medical provider. You know, cuz Pro-Lifers are H8ters. Or something.
Glenn’s lawyer noted that DHMH “could not cite a single instance in which anybody was subjected to harm by somebody who gained information through a public records request.”
The State conceded that it had no reason to believe that Glenn posed any threat whatsoever.
The real problem here is that pro-life watchdogs have used the open access law to track down abortion scofflaws and agitate to get them shut down.
The real issue here is the big bucks the abortion industry pumps into Democrat coffers, resulting in an unprecedented level of political protection for abortionists who maim and kill on a regular basis.

Who needs coat hangers?
You have to listen to these 911 calls from Preterm abortion clinic to believe them. Each time, the person calling in has little information about the patient and is very, very reluctant to mention the word “abortion” which … you know … might MATTER to the responders.
June 26, 2010: A 26-year old woman suffered uncontrolled hemorrhaging AND failed to come out of anesthesia.
March 31, 2012: This “caring” clinic performed a high risk abortion on a 300 pound woman, despite being unequipped to handle emergencies AND having no ELEVATOR. Emergency responders had to wait for additional responders to arrive to help them carry the woman down the stairs. This time, an activist filed a complaint with the Ohio Medical Board, but no disciplinary action was ever taken.
March 21, 2014: This time Preterm managed to kill both mother and child. Right at the start of this call, the woman garbles the rather important fact that the patient is NOT BREATHING.
Meanwhile, another woman has died taking RU-486 (the Morning After pill). One of the deadly complications of this chemical abortion is toxic shock. Remember when the media went nuts warning females about how dangerous tampons were? Google “tampons toxic shock syndrome” and you’ll see lots of “rare” in the hits. Now google “Planned Parenthood RU-486.” Go ahead. Try it.

Sebelius gets a visit from the Irony Fairy
A fitting farewell to Kathleen: A page is missing from her buh bye remarks binder. Missing enrollment numbers, missing number of previously uninsured, missing speech page.
My fave tweets:
- Sebelius actually bungled her FAREWELL SPEECH. This Administration is truly beyond parody.
- Garbage In Garbage Out! Sloppy and slovenly from top to bottom.
- If you like your speech, you ca
- If I had a nickel for the number of times the Obamacare website has said “PAGE NOT FOUND”
- Sebelius’ full speech has been delayed until next month.
- Maybe she should have read it first to see what was in there, eh?
God has an awesome sense of humor. As governor, this vile woman continued to claim she was a good Catholic even as she partied with, accepted money from and legally protected the nation’s leading late-term abortion butcher, George Tiller. As SecHHS, she oversaw the legal and financial targeting of Catholic institutions, business and individuals. I take great comfort in knowing her real reward still awaits.

It is a pastor’s DUTY to chastize the SINNER
Bishop Paprocki, who was installed in 2010, recently issued a public statement in support of Durbin’s pastor:
“Senator Durbin was informed several years ago by his pastor at Blessed Sacrament Parish here in Springfield that he was not permitted to receive Holy Communion per canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law,” Paprocki wrote. “My predecessor upheld that decision and it remains in effect. It is my understanding that the senator is complying with that decision here in the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois.”
