AMERICAN HISTORY: On February 28, 1993, a gun battle erupted at a religious compound near Waco, Texas, when Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents tried to arrest Branch Davidian leader David Koresh for stockpiling illegal weapons. On April 19, after a 51-day standoff, FBI agents stormed the compound with tear gas and armored vehicles. Dozens were dead before the whole thing was over.

LENTEN MEDITATION: Love in the Time of Mass Migration – “Implicit in hospitality is the (rebuttable) presumption that one’s guest is not an opportunist. That is, he participates in a shared moral economy and feels a debt. Gratitude and hospitality are two expressions of the same relation, the relation that obtains among members of—let’s call it the community of the gracious, which transcends political and class divisions. Such a guest would offer hospitality of his own if the circumstances were reversed. Also, guests eventually leave.” — Matthew B. Crawford

MARKETING WIN: The person who writes Facebook ads for Finger Lakes ReUse It is brilliant. This one says, “ReUse MegaCenter has denim jeans that someone already washed fifty times. That’s the perfect level of soft. New jeans are stiff and judgmental. Used jeans are comfortable and understand life. Buy the understanding jeans.

MEDIA: The Department of Homeland Security responded to CNN’s inflammatory reporting with this – “On February 19, 2026, Buffalo Police Department alerted Border Patrol about a non-citizen in their custody. Our agents confirmed that Mr. Shah Alam entered the United States as a refugee on December 24, 2024, and was not amenable to removal. Border Patrol agents offered him a courtesy ride, which he chose to accept to a coffee shop, determined to be a warm, safe location near his last known address, rather than be released directly from the Border Patrol station. He showed no signs of distress, mobility issues, or disabilities requiring special assistance.”

Reports also state the man died as a result of a pre-existing medical condition that had no thing to do with him being dropped off at a donut shop at his request.

According to Nick Sortor, the truck is owned by a Somalian in Minnesota. The “trucking company” is less than 3 years old, is registered to an apartment, and has only two drivers, one of which can’t read signs written in English.

OBAMACARE: CLICK https://x.com/mazemoore/status/2027056256163168378 [:26] for a refresher on the lies Obama told us about The Affordable Care Act. Remember when Democrats told us we were selfish and greedy because we said it would do exactly what it has done?!

GRAMMY NOTES: One of my most precious early memories is of the day I got my own library card. Once a week, my mother would drop me off in the children’s room to browse and borrow while she went through the stacks in the adult section. Then we’d visit my disabled godmother and go home. The look, feel, and smell of that children’s room wraps me in love. For years, my favorite sound was the “ker-chunk” the machine made as it stamped the return cards with the due date and cut little chunks out of the sides.

DAILY PRAYER: Come, Holy Spirit. Fill our minds and our hearts. Enkindle in us the fires of Your wisdom and Your love that we may worthily proclaim the Gospel to all peoples. Amen.

ALEX PRETTI: If you don’t have time for anything else, watch this one. [8:27] – Minnesota State Rep. Walter Hudson presents a thoughtful, precise explanation for why Pretti’s “rights” to film ICE officers and carry a loaded weapon disappeared in context.

AMERICAN HISTORY: January 31, 1958, the US launched its first satellite, Explorer I. It was an important milestone in America’s space race with the Soviet Union. Exactly three years later, Ham the Chimp launched into space aboard Mercury-Redstone 2.

EPSTEIN: The Justice Department released Jeffrey Epstein’s personal emails yesterday. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said, “These are communications with hundreds and hundreds of individuals discussing intimate details of Epstein’s and others’ lives. In none of these communications, even when doing his best to disparage President Trump, did Epstein suggest President Trump had done anything criminal or had any inappropriate contact with any of his victims.”

EVERYDAY HEROES: [15:48] – It wasn’t “the U.S.” It was one young man with an idea and lots of crowdfunding.

FAFO: A Florida-based registered nurse named Erik Martindale posted to social media that he would “not perform anesthesia for any surgeries or procedures for MAGA. It is my right, it is my ethical oath, and I stand behind my education. I own all my businesses and I can refuse anyone!

The State of Florida has revoked Martindale’s nursing license stating, “Healthcare is not contingent on political beliefs, and we have zero tolerance for partisans who put politics above their ethical duty to treat patients with the respect and dignity they deserve.”

FAKE NEWS: The photo above is making the rounds on social media. It’s fake.

  1. Pretti was an ICU nurse, not a physical therapist.
  2. Physical therapists work one-on-one with patients. The one working with an amputee on the parallel bars would be walking beside, not standing behind the patient.
  3. The light reflections on the three men are inconsistent.
  4. The U.S. flag in the background has only 11 red and white stripes. The American flag has 13.
  5. The hands on the clock are positioned in the wrong place on the clock face.

FREEDOM OF THE PRESS: Don Lemon was taken into federal custody late Thursday night (January 29) in Los Angeles. He is being charged with violating the FACE Act and conspiracy to deprive others of civil rights.

CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/kyp2drCpV_s [1:52] to see what Lemon himself posted about the incident. Lemon has said and his attorney is reiterating that Lemon was there as a constitutionally-protected member of the press.

As Aaron Walker notes at Twitchy, “People have a right to film public and newsworthy events, but only so long as they act as an observer, not a participant.” Given how partisan Lemon’s reporting clearly was, I think it’s a toss-up which way the jury will go.

MINNESOTA: [8:24] – Odd coinkidink how Walz suddenly got all cooperative right after Cam Higbie revealed his connection to the Signal chat.

PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, Raise up prayer warriors across our nation that we may once again turn, as a people, to You and You alone. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

RAAACISM: CLICK https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/2017009085682458980 [:25] to hear church rioter Nekima Levy Armstrong whine. She should be thanking God and her American citizenship that being arrested for violating the constitutional rights of fellow citizens is the closest she ever got to experiencing slavery.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE: [10:36] – Msgr. Stephen Rossetti has been the chief exorcist for the Archdiocese of Washington for over 18 years. He is also a licensed psychologist who has led hundreds of exorcism and deliverance sessions.

VIRGINIA: Democrats campaigned on “affordability” and voters actually believed they meant to make life more affordable. Silly voters! Democrats won bigly and … CLICK https://x.com/DerrickEvans4WV/status/2016903344477130872 [1:43] to hear a short list of all the ways they plan to make life less affordable for Virginians.

ZERO SELF-AWARENESS: Heidi Scholes, of Groveland, Massachusetts, posted the home address of the ICE Director all over the internet, encouraging protesters to head to his house and target his wife and children. She’s really angry that “evil people” who “love to see people hurt” doxxed her for her post!

Minnesota Update

ICE has provided @FoxNews a list of the most egregious criminal aliens they’ve arrested during their surge in the sanctuary state of Minnesota. ICE says all of these criminal aliens were roaming freely prior to arrest.

  • Sriudorn Phaivan, a Laotian illegal alien convicted of strong-arm sodomy of a boy & strong-arm sodomy of a girl with a deportation order since 2018.
  • Tou Vang, a Laotian illegal alien convicted of sexual assault and sodomy of a girl under age 13 and procuring a child for prostitution with a deportation order since 2006.
  • Chong Vue, a Laotian illegal alien convicted of the strong-arm rape of a 12-year-old girl and kidnapping a child with intent to sexually assault her, with a deportation order since 2004,

  • Gabriel Figueroa Gama, a Mexican illegal convicted of homicide who has been previously deported in 2002.
  • Galuak Michael Rotgai, a Sudanese illegal alien convicted of homicide.

  • Abdirashid Mohamed Ahmed, a Somalian illegal alien convicted of manslaughter with a deportation order since 2022.

Mongong Dual Maniang Deng, a Sudanese illegal alien convicted of attempt to commit homicide, weapon possession, and DUI.

Aler Gomez Lucas, a Guatemalan illegal alien convicted of negligent homicide with a vehicle and DUI with a deportation order since 2022.

Shwe Htoo, a Burmese illegal alien convicted of negligent homicide.

These are the people Democrat politicians and anti-American activists refer to as “neighbors” as they attempt to interfere with ICE. CLICK https://x.com/EricLDaugh/status/2010105729546699014 [1:55] to listen to one of the good-hearted sheeple who is proud of herself for bringing her infant to a potentially violent protest during this January winter.

“Regardless of staged political theatrics, ICE is going to continue to arrest the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens in Minnesota and elsewhere. Some of these criminal aliens have had final orders of removal for 30 years, but they’ve been free to terrorize Minnesotans. ICE’s arrests prevent recidivism and make communities safer, but it feels like local politicians want to ignore that part and drum up discontent rather than protect their own constituents.” ~ICE Director Todd Lyons

Nineteenth Day of Advent

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Help us each to focus on the significance of Christ’s birth and the hope He brings to the world. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

CALIFORNICATION: [14:09] – Major companies are moving elsewhere. The Nevada Globe called it “a brutal indictment of California’s hostile business climate.”

FILM HISTORY: [24:18] – Philip Van Doren Stern said he got the idea for the story in a dream. I can’t help thinking it was God’s gift to future America, because hardly anybody in the 1940s wanted it.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING: Also, pill organizers and adult coloring books.

HYPOCRISY: For the record, I am not posting this to excuse Trump’s bad attitude. I think we should be better than this! CLICK https://x.com/mazemoore/status/2001094249702367258 [2:40] if you can stand to listen to an overpaid bigot dump on a dead man for having a message that appealed to [dripping with disdain] “people sitting in their TRUCKS.” I stopped listening at that point.

MAR-A-LAGO RAID: Newly declassified emails may give Trump grounds to sue for civil liberty violations or prompt prosecutors to pursue a criminal investigation. They show that, before the 2022 raid on Trump’s home in Florida, the FBI expressed doubt that Trump had done anything wrong. FBI agents repeatedly recommended talking to Trump’s lawyers rather than raiding or, failing that, limiting the warrant to avoid private areas of the estate.

The Biden DOJ blew them off. On June 1, 2022, the Assistant Special Agent in Charge wrote, “DOJ has been adamant that no accommodation would be given and that they would not reach out to the attorney.” Nevertheless, the FBI continued to push for “a reasonable conversation with the former president’s attorney.”

When it became obvious the raid would happen regardless, the FBI advocated for a “professional, low key” search that respected “the optics.” As we all know, the August 8, 2022 raid, which was authorized by then-Attorney General Merrick Garland, was anything but.

MINNESOTA: I hope you’ll find time to read “What Somalis Have Done for Minnesota” by Daniel Greenfield @ https://www.danielgreenfield.org/2025/12/what-somalis-have-done-for-minnesota.html.

PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, Turn our hearts and minds to the reason for the season. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

VOTER FRAUD: The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division is suing 18 states for refusing to provide complete state voting registration lists. The Trump administration says it wants the information to verify the states are following federal election law in an effort to strengthen voting security. The 18 states, all of which Trump lost in 2020, call it intimidation in an effort to influence elections.
