Seventeenth Day of Advent

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, May the peace that only comes from You reign in our hearts and minds. Let us be channels of that peace to those who do not yet know You. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

BROWN U SHOOTING: On Saturday afternoon, a still-unidentified gunman barged into the Barus & Holley building at the campus in Providence, Rhode Island, and started shooting. Two students are dead; nine more are injured. CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/kVozzSRhQWg [1:00] to see video a student took.

CHARLIE KIRK: CLICK https://www.facebook.com/reel/1305495307882528 to hear him say how kindness fit into his message.

DOWN UNDER: On Sunday, two Islamic migrants – a father and son – attacked a Jewish beach party celebrating the start of Hanukkah. At least 15 are dead. On Tuesday, Australian authorities said the two had packed their vehicle with improvised explosive devices and homemade ISIS flags.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING: A sweet little gift for your favorite millennial.

HOLLYWOOD: Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were found stabbed to death in their Brentwood home Sunday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. Their 32-year-old son, Nick, has been charged and is being held without bail.

HYPOCRISY: AOC’s professional persona as a socialist woman of the people took a giant hit when her campaign filings revealed she spent nearly $50,000 on a trip to Puerto Rico in August. While there, she visited a housing development to rail against gentrification; the rest of the time, she was enjoying 5-star luxury that she billed as “campaign” expenses.

Former White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, said, “These people … love to tell everyone what they should do about their carbon footprint, and then they fly private. They love to talk about the excesses of the rich and then they benefit from it, they trade stocks, they get rich in Congress. … The hypocrisy knows no bounds.”

LEFTIES: CLICK https://x.com/RealDonKeith/status/1999473878431859195 [2:12] to hear a “very revealing” conversation.

MILITARY: On Saturday, an ISIS gunman killed two U.S. Army soldiers and one U.S. interpreter interpreter in Syria. Three others were injured. Chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said our soldiers were there “in support of ongoing counter-ISIS/counter-terrorism operations in the region.” Trump has promised “very serious retaliation.”

PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, Help us to seek the common good, working together to build a society that reflects Your love and justice. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

SCAMMERS: [1:39] – If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

SECRET SANTA: [5:01] – Amazing young woman. Love the t-shirt … and the look on her face. ❤

BOMBSHELL: CLICK https://x.com/MAGAStormX/status/1977777356359021022 [8:25] to hear about the proof we now have that everything we thought about the Russia Hoax was true.

BORDER: CLICK https://x.com/Rightanglenews/status/1977479326015926641 to see what really happened. FYI: It was not ICE arresting a six-year-old.

EVERYDAY HEROES: When a regular customer failed to turn up for his daily lunch, the staff at the Shrimp Basket restaurant in Pensacola, Florida, tried to phone him. Getting no answer, one of the cooks went to his house. The elderly man had fallen and was unable to get up again. Because somebody cared, he is in the hospital, recovering.

GRETA THUNBERG: Quoth the Raven asks, “When protest becomes indistinguishable from performance, what’s the real priority — the cause, or the spotlight?”

“Thunberg’s activism depends on saying everything as loudly and as often as possible — with maximum camera coverage. … [But] Greta has never risked more than her comfort. She has not sacrificed her safety, her health, or her future. Instead, she has repeatedly placed herself in situations designed to look dangerous enough to inspire sympathy, but not dangerous enough to demand irreversible cost. The result is a kind of protest theater: gripping to watch, but ultimately more about the performer than the issue.”

HAMAS: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vNqpF31jGNM to hear from a former hostage how his captors felt about the 2024 election.

LIFE: Trump has shut down the Office of Population Affairs (OPA), a division within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that manages public health programs related to family planning, reproductive health, and adolescent services. IOW, the office that promotes early childhood sex education, LGBTQ+ activism, and abortion.

MEDIA: Note how the tone of the headlines has been modified to appeal to the political majority in the area where the paper will be marketed.

MEDICARE: Our plan is being discontinued, so I’ve begun researching to find the best replacement in time for open enrollment. I saw an ad on Facebook for Medicare School (link below). I’m sharing this because it has 4.9 out of 5 stars at Trust Pilot. The AI summary of customer reviews says:

“Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers consistently praise the staff for their professionalism, knowledge, and patience in guiding them through the complexities of Medicare. Consumers appreciate the agents’ ability to explain options clearly, answer questions thoroughly, and provide support without any pressure. People also value the caring and helpful attitude of the staff, who are dedicated to finding the best coverage to meet individual needs.

“Many reviewers found the company’s website and social media resources, particularly the YouTube videos, to be extremely informative and helpful in understanding Medicare. Consumers felt well-prepared for their appointments after watching these videos. The booking process received mixed feedback, but overall, reviewers were satisfied with the service and support they received from the company.”

OBAMA: [5:54] – CLICK https://x.com/BGOnTheScene/status/1977798112275014017 [2:33] to see progress on his Presidential Center on the South Side of Chicago, which is expected to open next year. “Decades and decades of wrong-headed thinking” will be memorialized in this hideous eyesore. It reminds me of the home of IT in “A Wrinkle in Time”, which was described as a large, rectangular building “of a greenish marble-like material. It had no windows, no doors, only a blank wall with a small circular opening high up, just under the roof.”

PEACE in the MIDDLE EAST: [10:33] – History.

PRAYER for OUR NATION: Dear Lord, We thank You for the privilege of living in the best nation in the world. Grant us courage and wisdom to choose leaders who are humble and righteous. May all our leaders prioritize justice, truth, and peace. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

GRAMMY NOTES: One time, when we were in New York and our military kids were stationed in Alaska, Maryland, and Texas, we exchanged photos showing it was snowing in all four places.

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Grant us the graces we need to see our sins as You see them. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

BOLTON: [17:59] – Mark Levin gives his take on the raid of John Bolton’s home.

CATHOLIC: The Chicago White Sox honored Pope Leo XIV by commemorating the seat where then-Father Robert Prevost sat during the 2005 World Series.

DOGE: Last week, agencies terminated 163 wasteful contracts, saving We the Taxpayers $647 million. Included was a $35 million USAID contract to “acquire contractor support to establish and manage a flexible, quick response mechanism supporting activities that will support democracy and stability in El Salvador.

HISTORY: Dearest had to drink goat milk. But he did not have to use the actual goat. 🙂

INTELLIGENT DESIGN: Flatfish start out symmetrical like other fish, but during development, one eye migrates to the other side of the body. They lie flat on the seafloor with both eyes facing up. They could not have evolved, because the intermediate forms have no survival value. Plus, they have been found fossilized in layers with many other varieties of fish.

MIDTERMS: [8:23] – Dr. Steve Turley explains the redistricting war that could possibly give Trump a strong majority in the House for his last two years.

MINNESOTA: “Chicken Jockey”, a ten year old skater from Minnesota, went viral after her adorable performance in the Open Inflatables Final competition at the 2025 National Showcase, August 2, 2025, in Rochester, MI. She came in third.

GRAMMY NOTES: Prayers please for my daughter and her family. They lost a dear friend over the weekend and are grieving.

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Protect us from a false tolerance for heresy and remind us always to pray for the salvation of those who have been taught to believe in lies. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

DEMOCRATS: CLICK https://www.facebook.com/DamaniBryantFelder/videos/1130197972278672 to hear the core of the issue. ITA and have for many years.

GERRYMANDERING: [8:47] – May we enjoy a return to geographically logical districts.

LOL: [4:03] – Don’t watch this one if you’re at work. You will not be able to stop laughing. Even if the comments aren’t funny to you, their laughter is totally contagious!

MISSISSIPPI: A statewide operation in July has resulted in 72 arrests and the rescue of 29 human trafficking victims. The operation included 400 federal, state, and local law enforcement officials.

PHYSICS: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/za_HO2E3JEU to learn why smaller animals can jump as high as larger animals, even though they have roughly the same ratio of muscle mass to weight.

WASHINGTON: Two fundamentalist Muslim migrants from Iraq, neither of whom have bothered to learn English, have been found Not Guilty of attempted murder by a Thurston County jury.

Judge Christine Schaller did not allow the prosecution to enter into evidence that, before the attack, the defendants had threatened their teenaged daughter with honor killing if she refused to fly back to their home country and marry the older Muslim man they had selected for her. The judge said the backstory would be too prejudicial.

Well duh! Intent to kill is necessary for a murder verdict. Denying the jury the facts about the parents pre-stated intention to kill the girl made it impossible for the jury to convict on murder charges. The father was found guilty only of assault and unlawful imprisonment and will be serving a 12-month prison sentence.

The mother was found guilty only of violating two domestic violence protective orders that had been obtained, on the girl’s behalf, by the boyfriend and their high school. The mother has already served more time behind bars than her sentence called for, so she is out of jail, but must have no contact with her daughter.

PSA: Buy neon colored swim suits. – Just saw this safety tip. Drowning is one of the leading causes of death for young people, with children under the age of 5 being at highest risk. Blues, greens, and blacks tend to disappear under water, making it harder for lifeguards to see the victim. Neons show up best.

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Please grant Pope Francis eternal rest. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

100 DAYS: Translation from Left-ese into Reality-ese — Judges who broke the law are facing consequences; illegals are being deported for being here illegally … just like they were under Clinton and Biden; history that was rewritten by Progressive is being restored; libraries are being curated to provide materials appropriate to community standards; universities that support anti-Semitism and terrorism are losing taxpayer-funded grants they had no right to in the first place; bloated government agencies and budgets are being cut back so we don’t go bankrupt; Biden created a government office to monitor conservative social media posts; countries often give child bonuses when the birth rate drops too low; there are no new threats of wars; Obama, who got a Nobel Peace Prize for not being George Bush, started multiple new wars; everybody rips us off, demands we provide aid and military support, and badmouths us for being who we are, so who cares if we demand a little equity and courtesy in return?

BORDER: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said thousands of illegal immigrants have registered on the CBP Home app to self-deport, and that those who have not yet done so will face consequences.

CATHOLIC: [9:10] – Father David Michael Moses reviews The Conclave. He includes the comments of a Catholic cardinal who participated in the last conclave and saw the movie. I think I’ll give this movie a miss.

EDUCATION: It’s interesting how they went from demanding evolution and creationism be taught as theories to demanding creationism be eliminated entirely. They’re so indoctrinated they won’t even listen to how different Intelligent Design is from biblical creationism.

HYPOCRITE: Schumer is shooting off his mouth about the arrests of two judges for aiding criminal illegal aliens saying “President Trump and the DOJ can’t just arrest judges at will.” IMO, judges should be held to a higher standard than anybody! Plus, I don’t remember Schumer being bothered about a former U.S. president being arrested, booked, fingerprinted, photographed, and held against his will inside a cold court room during campaign season.

MILITARY: The Army has surpassed its 2025 recruiting goal six months early.

MORE HYPOCRISY: The people supporting trans activism are the same people who loudly object to white people wearing braids.

SANTOS: They said he was a liar. Now he’s going to prison. – George Santos is one of only six congressmen and the first Republican to ever be expelled from the House of Representatives. The first three, all Democrats, were expelled back in 1861 for fighting for the Confederacy.

The fourth, Michael J. Myers (also Democrat), was expelled in 1980 and later imprisoned for conspiracy to commit bribery, defraud the U.S., receipt of illegal gratuities, obstruction of justice, filing false tax returns, and racketeering

The fifth, yet another Democrat, was James A. Traficant who was expelled in 2002 after being convicted of 10 felony counts, including taking bribes, filing false tax returns, racketeering, and forcing his congressional staff to perform chores at his farm in Ohio and houseboat in Washington, D.C. He served a 7-year prison sentence.

Republican George Santos was expelled in 2023 and federally indicted on 23 counts including wire fraud, money laundering, stealing public funds, lying on Federal financial disclosure forms to the House of Representatives, aggravated identity theft, and making false statements to the Federal Election Commission. As part of a plea deal, Santos has agreed to pay roughly $580,000 in penalties in addition to serving a seven-year prison sentence.

STUDENT LOANS: Leftists want people who’ve defaulted on student loan debt to pull their money out of major banks and put it into credit unions. Supposedly, this will “cripple” banks and inspire them to pressure the Trump administration. How much $$$ do people who can’t afford to make payments on their student loans even have?? Unless, of course, they aren’t paying their loans because Biden kept telling them they didn’t need to …

UK: The nation’s Supreme Court just ruled that sex is biological. But never mind that. The London Marathon is allowing males to run in female categories.

WISCONSIN: Judge Hannah Dugan has been arrested for taking extraordinary and allegedly illegal steps to thwart police from taking a past deportee into custody. The illegal in question, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, was charged with domestic violence in mid-March; the case was assigned to Dugan. He was deported in 2013; there is no evidence he returned legally.

Democrats claim to be the party that defends women’s rights. So why are they now picking men-who-say-they’re-women over real women and illegal aliens over the women they beat up, rape, and murder?

GRAMMY NOTES: Haiku posted at Facebook Haiku Society by James Grundy – My favorite thing about haiku is where the first two lines create an image and/or mood and the third line takes it in an unexpected direction. This is a lovely example.

Happy Three Kings Day

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, Please grant us the wisdom and courage we need to follow our “stars.” In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

CANADA: Trudeau’s approval rating is 28%.

CHENEY: And Joe Biden gave her an award for it.

EDUCATION: New Jersey has joined New York and California in eliminating literacy tests for teachers in an effort to meet the state’s diversity objectives. Previously teachers were required to read and write at a 6th grade level.

“The people who voted in favor of this law will, in the same breath, tell you that homeschooling is not a quality education.” – Harris Rigby

FLORIDA: The Sunshine State is suing the Biden administration for refusing to verify immigration records as mandated by law. Their stonewalling has hindered Florida’s efforts to ensure the integrity of its voter rolls and prevent non-citizens from voting.

VFAUXTUS: Mark Leno was the first openly gay man to be elected to the California State Senate. During his time there, he authored a piece of legislation that would have allowed pedophiles to possess up to 99 items depicting child pornography before they could be charged with a felony. Kamala Harris considers Mark Leno a “dear friend.”

GRAMMY NOTES: Forty years ago, I had a devastatingly realistic scenario that I greatly feared. God put me into it exactly as I’d imagined, made it three times worse than I had ever conjured, then provided all I needed to sail right out of it! Remembering that event helps me so much to trust Him in all things.

DAILY PRAYER: O Lord, enlighten our hearts that evil desires are darkened and send down Thy grace to help us glorify Thee. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

DOGE: The Biden administration gave $2.5 million of our money to 24 schools to finance a 10-week long “intervention” designed to help LGBTQ-identifying youth “cope with the effects of minority stress.”

We’ve also been stuck with paying $53 million to maintain a super yacht we confiscated from a Russian oligarch, just in case it has to be given back.

MILITARY: CLICK https://x.com/catturd2/status/1872029204818342380 [:20] for something that should have never happened. “My problem with it, is simple. When you are in the military you are there to do a job. Not put out for sex partners. This is demoralizing to troops.” – X commenter

RACISM vs. GREENISM: I am always amused to see self-righteous activist lefties expose their insane hypocrisies. CLICK https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/1868797312665100379 [2:04] to hear of the outrage in Loudon County over a teacher passing around cotton during a lesson the invention of the cotton gin. Now CLICK https://x.com/MichelleMaxwell/status/1872268679381131418 [1:07] to hear Billy Bob Thornton talk about how pervasive petroleum is in our culture. The RAAAACISM idjits in Loudon County should read the tags on their clothes. Cotton is the most common and least expensive natural fiber we have available to us. But, since it costs more than its usual substitute, polyester (which is primarily made from petroleum-derived chemicals), it is something of a luxury fiber.

TEXAS: CLICK https://x.com/Mericamemed/status/1871759376543084750 [:37] to see the awesome holiday greeting from the mayor of Garland. LOL!!

USA: [3:49] – Joe Biden signed a bill into law designating the bald eagle as our national bird. And here I thought the founders did that some time after telling Ben Franklin it was NOT going to be the turkey.

GRAMMY NOTES: Let it be known that, on Christmas Day of this year, I played what may be the BEST GAME OF SWEET SHUFFLE EVER!

BLACK FRIDAY: “U.S. shoppers used their mobile phones, laptops, desktops and other devices to make roughly $10.8 billion in purchases online on Black Friday.” I did my bit! So glad to save BIG on gifts for our church’s Christmas tree tag kids. I was able to afford much better stuff. ❤

EXTREMISM: CLICK https://www.facebook.com/reel/936808417909975 to hear John Cleese explain the appeal of extremism.

FBI: Trump has chosen Kash Patel to direct the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Patel, who served as chief of staff to the acting secretary of defense during Trump’s first term in office and played a key role in revealing the Russian collusion hoax. He has been critical of the way the FBI operates and says he wants to relocate the bureau’s headquarters to somewhere to outside the Beltway.

MILITARY: “There is no doubt that women can serve in the military and make great contributions to success on the battlefield.  This does not mean that it is a good idea to put them into combat arms units, where they would be required to go face to face with the enemy and ultimately be capable of fighting hand to hand and coming out alive. There is no second place in combat.” – Larry Keifesh

I am very proud of my daughters’ military service. I am very glad neither of them ever had to fire their weapons at another human being.

GRAMMY NOTES: Bon voyage to Army Prince and the three Texas grands who fly today to join #2 for her 3 year deployment abroad. Big adventures ahead!
