    April 29, 2011: A U.S. appeals court ruled that the Obama administration can use federal funding for Embryonic Stem Cell (ESC) research.

    There is a finite number of federal dollars available for medical research. Funds directed to ESC research, which has yet to even qualify for a single human trial, are NOT available for ASC research, which is currently and successfully treating DOZENS of diseases!

    The fact that the Obama administration is spending time and money in court to fight for the right to continue throwing money at ESC research shows up the lie in their much-touted commitment to use science and the rule of law — not politics — to make decisions.

    I’m going to have to wait until later in the day when I can more reasonably crack open a can of Coors whatever before reading all these stories. The headlines alone are making me crazy! But I will read them – I have to know, so I can spread the word, but don’t you just sometimes want to turn on something like American Idol or whatever inane thing is seducing the populace, and forget all about it like the rest of the country?

    It should be a beautiful spring day here in Virginia, my garden is just on the cusp of having thousands of blooms of roses, peonies, iris, columbine, candytuft, tulips, poppies, azaleas, etc. so that will be my focus for the day. There are bluebirds nesting in my next door neighbor’s box, but I haven’t seen any as angry as BOB just yet.

    My new favorite show is Swamp People on the History Channel on thursday nights.Its about Cajuns during alligator season in Louisiana.These people live on what they catch and kill.They might be the only people who could survive Obamanomics.

      We got it last night – just as I left work it started. About six inches worth of the *&*^$%#% stuff. I. AM. TIRED. OF. WINTER. HELLO!!! A pox on Algore and his damn global warming!!!

        Sure, I’ll take some tomorrow. Don’t hate me , though. It is beautiful here. If there is one thing that I have learned about myself from reading about all the weather trials and tribulations that you strong people in Wisconsin and Montana and Illinois and New York cope with, it is that I am a first class weather wimp. My hat is off to all of you; you are much stronger than I am.
