As a migraine sufferer, albeit infrequently, the piece sounds plausible. I have migraines with visual auras, occasional numbness in face and hands, and very rarely verbal disturbances. I don’t take meds for them because they are so infrequent, but one time in particular a stressful situation triggered a migraine. Lack of sleep does it, too. I can only imagine how often they’d be triggered if I had a job like Bachmann’s.
I feel for Bachman if she has migraines. If she’s really having them weekly, I hate to say this, but she probably isn’t up for the job. Mine are actually pretty tame and I’ve never had to go to the hospital because of one. They wipe me out for a day but I can function okay. I know lots of migraine sufferers that can’t function though.
The pill claim is ridiculous though – she maybe taking lots of meds but the reporter didn’t even do enough research to show what they “pills” could be – just left it vague enough for readers to draw their own conclusions. Jerk.

ITA about the migraines and the job. Two people I have known who had them were crippled during the attacks. Both said they could do literally nothing but take his pills and hide in a dark, totally quiet place until the attack was over.
As for pills, puhleeze. How many people take pills?! Sheesh. Mama Buzz has been taking stuff for her thyroid since she was 11. Dearest takes stuff for his heart. Both of them are healthy and active, BECAUSE they take the appropriate, prescribed meds as directed.

Doctor’s note from Bachmann….it’s possible that she was having migraines weekly but then figured out her triggers and now has them less frequently. I rethunk it, and I’d still take Bachmann with a migraine once a week vs. Obama playing golf.

Representatives of Muammar al-Qaddafi’s embattled government held face-to-face talks with U.S. officials in neighboring Tunisia over the weekend.
A U.S. State Department official confirmed the meeting took place but said it was only to deliver a clear and firm message that Qaddafi must step down.
The U.S. official said it was not a negotiating session and no future meetings were planned.

And now I can’t get my What A Hoot back. I tried all kinds of creative ways to reclaim it but then the blog site has WAH instead of editor.
Also, I thought the Repubs list I originally saw here or somewhere else when got from fb friend; made me chuckle to think one of my “friends” was haunting the same places as I. I tried to find who to credit it to but could not. Since that is a pet peavie of mine, I don’t want WAH as poster. Ugh! (And then to top things off I have written several versions of this comment throughout the day and things just jam up and it goes nowhere–my end, not yours. 🙂
The heatwave has me melted ten times over…..
