bob … what does it mean when you put a LIKE on a post? (Besides that you think I’m ABFAB teehee)

    • Isn’t it obvious? It means I read it and liked it but couldn’t think of an intelligent comment to make! That’s one thing I love about WordPress — the fact that I can click “like” to indicate that I read and appreciated the post, even if I lack the wit (or time) to add anything to it in the comments section. Most non-WP blogs don’t have that option, so if I can’t think of a comment to make, I have no way of letting the author know that I read and enjoyed/benefited from his/her post.

I’m going to have to remember to hit that “Like” button more often because my wit is almost non-existent these days. But I would have to hit the “Like” button on every post, so maybe it is a waste of time and bandwidth!

But OHHH so good for the egos of me and Pete! :o)

bob, I asked because I thought maybe it was some kind of facebook thing. Like maybe it auto-posted a link to your facebook or something … based on some vague memory from my HB days.

          • There are some sites where if you click on “Like” it will automatically post a link to it on your FB status (or whatever they call it). When I “Like” my brother’s columns in the Milwaukee Examiner they appear magically on my FB page. Anyway, I love it when I get “Likes” on my blog, so I try to remember to “Like” the good stuff on all the other blogs I read, whenever the “Liking” option is available.
