UPDATE: Plugging along with puter switcheroo. It’s slow but I am making progress. Witness I am here aha … got my bookmarks successfully moved, though they are not yet organized the way I had them phooie. Have not gotten gravatar straightened out yet. And I am a looooong way from being back to work. Have to choose, install and learn new software. My old, familiar programs are too old for Vista. TTYL. It was refreshing to come for a short visit in the garden and surf the Grudge. Hey Pete!! So glad you’re keeping things humming while I’m down for maintenance. Hugs to all!

Now the pompous twerp is suing the same banks for what he forced them to do.

I have already forwarded the Shelby Steele editorial to my e-mail peeps. It is very, very good.
I had a chance to watch “The Undefeated” tonight on PayPerView, the first time I have ever done that. It took me a half an hour to figure out how to get it to run, but it was worth it. I think it will be sold at Walmart in October and I would encourage all to watch it, whether you like Sarah Palin or not. The filmmaker is from Richmond, about my age, but I do not know him. I am so ready to fight like a girl!
I am a trustee for some elderly relatives, who have had a bank account at Bank of America for over 60 years. (It has only been Bank of America for about 20 years since the original bank, my former employer, was bought out, but the account is the same one.) We just sold their house so I had a very large check to deposit, way in excess of the FDIC guarantees. I had the deposit ticket all filled out and was walking down my driveway to get in my car and make the deposit, but I just could not do it. I have no faith in Bank of America. I went to my community bank and opened a new account. The paper work with all the trust documents, etc. and the IRS and Patriot Act requirements took forever, but I can sleep tonight. I just could not take any risk for these folks. How sad is that? I am not usually a worry-wart, either.
Glad that you are making progress Chrissy! I loved our e-mail about all the products made from petroleum. I guess I did know a lot of it, but when you see it all typed up in the document like that it really drives the point home about the cost of so many, many things when we are not using our own resources responsibly. To me, that is one of the biggest failings of our political class. They have let the environmental lobby scare them into paralysis, at great cost to the people. I know that we can extract these resources in a responsible manner.

We can definitely get natural gas for a century or more. Despite the chicken little tree huggers screaming about ground water contamination from fracking, Obama’s own appointee admitted on record before Congress that there has not been a SINGLE AUTHENTICATED INSTANCE IN THIRTY YEARS OF FRACKING!
