I had to work today, but it is good to have some work to do, even if it is storm related. I helped the guys wrestle a 48 inch diameter oak tree that was blown over onto a house. Of course, the branches were about all I could handle by myself. Thanks for the articles. I’ll read them later tonight.

I drove a route truck for 10 years at a uniform company that was in the teamsters.The pay and the perks were good,but I really had to bite my tongue at union meetings.I was a member when Jimmy Jr. won the teamsters’ presidency on a platform of ethics after Ron Carey was indicted for corruption.Equating a Hoffa with honesty and ethics was beyond surreal.

Need techno-assist here. I need Adobe Flashplayer. It downloads, but keeps failing on installation. No useful error ms about why. Probably got a conflict or something I need to shut off or disable or some dang thing, but no clue what. Using Vista with Firefox. Help anyone?

I wish I could help but you are speaking in a language that I do not really understand! I do know that the only thing that hangs up my Mac is trying to update Adobe software in Foxfire, so I just don’t. Maybe try a different browser for the Adobe download?

It is good. I was hesitant at first because I thought it might be a Kathleen Parker article and I was just sure it was going to make me mad. But I love Star and this was a very good message, and so was Rubio’s.

Got this in email from a Texan:
It is so dry in central Texas now that we have been on a burn ban since May. The ground is cracked, and last night 25 homes in a village only a few miles away from my property, burned to the ground. The grounds in all of central Texas are cracked from lack of moisture. Central Texas has put out a request for anyone with any type of fire fighting experience to step forward.
Please pray for rain – a small spark can start a fire which, with the winds, will spread like crazy.
