THE WEDNESDAY GRUDGE

posted by Pistol Pete

I watched part of the debate livestreamed last night.I still can’t figure out why republicans submit to having a forum hosted by Mike Bloomberg and moderated by far-left hacks like Charlie Rose and Karen Tumulty.Would dems have a debate on Fox with Mark Levin as moderator?

Last night was my favorite debate by far. I felt like the questions were usually fair (that older lady was a moron though, imho). I liked the set-up of having everyone at the table. I also felt better about the group as a whole, compared to other debates.
Michelle Bachman hit her first question out of the ballpark. Loved it! But then with subsequent questions I felt like she returned to the Michelle I’ve come to ignore: vague, uninteresting answers and for Pete’s sake, if I hear the “Lone Voice” bit again I might need some booze. But I can’t drink during these debates in my condition. Ugh!
Newt was awesome. Every debate I see him in makes me wish he could be the nominee. However, there are reasons not to trust him, and he’s been so villainized that I don’t think indies would go for him. His question to Mitt was great, unfortunately Mitt turned it into a ‘middle class’ issue and managed to evade the meat of the question. Wish Newt had pushed him more on his answer. Newt was right, Mitt was wrong.
Cain…..he did alright. He took a lot of heat for his 9-9-9 plan and I need him to be able to explain his plan better in order for me to feel comfrotable with him as a candidate. I’d like to see him to go into teacher mode, maybe pull out some visuals (I know, I know, Perot got mocked for that) and do it in a classy Paul Ryan video type of video to explain his plan.
Overall, I felt good about last night. There are those I’m not impressed with, i.e. Perry and Hunstman, but I thought the others had their moments.
I do wish Palin was there though. Sigh.

Well, Dee, I felt absolutely sick last night. I think they are the most pitiful bunch of candidates I have ever seen in my life. I cannot get the least bit of enthusiasm for a single one of them. In the primary all I can do is try to find the one other than Romney who sucks the least and hold my nose to vote. I have no energy or enthusiasm or any inclination to advocate for any of those fools. I will vote, but only because of Obama. Defeating both Romney and Obama is the only thing I really care about.

Pete, I hope you stayed away from The Occupy Rockford gang. Good grief, who would have guessed that out of over 1,000 countries (!!!!????!!!!) they would pick your town?
