  1. Debbie Blabbermouth-Schultz really is the gift that keeps on giving, at least for Republicans. Here’s hoping her endorsement of the Food Stamp President does as much good in 2012 as her endorsement of Hillary did in 2008.

  2. Found this on a friend’s Facebook page. The youngster in the picture is Samuel Armas, who became famous when he underwent surgery before birth to correct a life-threatening defect, and photographer Michael Clancy snapped a picture of Samuel’s tiny hand grasping the surgeon’s finger. If you wondered whatever became of that baby, here he is, with Michael Clancy.

Levin: “Romney is not a conservative in the traditional sense, and he has a record of big-government Republicanism. Even many years after the success of the Reagan administration, he sought to distance himself from Reagan and the GOP, self-identifying as a progressive and independent. Thus, he resorts to spending multi-millions of dollars trashing his opponents, rather than providing thoughtful arguments on conservatism and constitutionalism. Lest we forget, it was Gingrich who was trying to run a positive campaign and who offered to debate Romney one-on-one, asking Romney to stop with the millions in unanswered ads attacking him. Romney declined. I have no doubt that Romney would do the same thing to Santorum if Santorum was rising in the polls, albeit on different issues.”

Trivia question. I have googled to no avail: Are there examples of other “Joe Wilson Liar Moment” where someone yelled or shouted or spoke out during a SOTU address?

I am not aware of any, though in 2010, Justice Alito clearly mouthed something to the effect of “not true” in response to Obama’s scolding and inaccurately depicting a Supreme Court decision. Since the SCOTUS justices sit front and center and are watched by the cameras, it kinda qualifies.

I am not talking about just while Obama giving the sotu but any president?

        • I don’t remember it ever happening before. I think that’s one reason the Joe Wilson incident was such a big deal (apart from the fact that it was RAAAAAAAAAACIST for him to say that to Dear Leader). I think if it had ever happened to a previous president, that would have come up in the commentary that followed Joe Wilson’s little moment of indiscretion.

When President Bush tried to talk about his attempts to reform Social Security, attempts that Democrats blocked, the Democrats stood up, en masse, and gave themselves a standing ovation. I found the YouTube clip. It’s something we should see again and again, have available to show liberals who are waking up to what the Left is really all about, so I’m going to put it up as a separate blog.

Thanks, Rose. “The level of effort and intensity by the Romney campaign to court Mr. Bush suggests that his seal of approval was highly coveted not only for the Florida primary, but also in the quest to galvanize the party behind him to help swiftly lock down the Republican nomination. Mr. Romney also sought his aid trying to secure the support of Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, who also has declined to endorse.”

  6. It is insanely crazy (can you say that?) the amount of money that is spent in a presidential election. By the time it’s all over with, what will the total end up being for all candidates?

Levin made a great point in the facebook article you linked to … Romney would NOT have the financial advantage against Obama.

It makes me GAG, the hypocrisy of Teh Won, ragging on the alleged greed of rich Republicans while spending millions of taxpayers’ money on his own vacations and bragging about his plan to raise and spend a billion dollars on his own campaign.

      • It’s telling that Obummer realizes he HAS to spend at least a billion dollars on his campaign if he is to have any hope of holding on to his job. If his presidency had been a successful one, if the country were doing well, economy humming along, people feeling positive about their lives and the future, he would hardly have to do anything at all and could just coast to a landslide re-election. Only the fact that his presidency has been an unmitigated disaster, and everyone knows it, necessitates his spending such ungodly amounts of money in the attempt to hold on to the White House.

Of course you can say, “insanely crazy”; that is all that has been said, by those that might complain, about Ron Paul.
