      I have mixed feelings about this. I don’t want the world to put him on trial. The mind is fragile and in spite of thorough training to strengthen by the US military, it still can snap. I am not justifying what was done; just think there is so much more going on here. Why aren’t the headlines about the persons or groups (any connected to American Left?) maintaining the violence momentum to kill Americans and American Soldiers because some stinking books got burned, and dammit, we were told not to burn it! What damage is done to a mind to be a soldier in a land where mobs of civilians are trying to kill you and your CIC abandons you — does not have your back? It is ok for thousands to go “door to door” (ie; wherever US are hanging their hats) and kill Americans, at least according to the media and the politically correct believers espousing tolerance victimhood. Yet, this one soldier will hang, so to speak, internationally and be used as fodder for the “hate message”. Also, playing around this pretty ‘lil head is the thought of operating by “their” own rules – during peace and war — which is to avenge death with death. I know, I know, we are civil and above that and don’t want to become like them…………….But the bottom line is Barack Obama turned his back on the troops when he offered the white flag of apology and he holds some accountability for this soldier’s killing spree. After all, the success of the mind training and metal strength-building skills is based on the philosophy of your leader, all the way up the chain, having your back and not having your comrades hand you over on a silver platter to the enemy. (Disclaimer–This is just thinking; thinking based on raw emotion, before the next step of weighing and reasoning against moral arguments. Thus, it is a given, I am not saying it was “right” for what is reported the soldier has done.)

      OK, so keep them employed on the Mexican/US border and the Canadian/US border and for that matter, Southern Florida’s Border and the Soviet/US border. We have LOTS of our own borders.

      GP, I’m not sure what’s going on. I checked to see if some of your comments were ending up in moderation limbo, but didn’t find any there. Please don’t give up. It could just be a temporary WordPress foul-up, and it may resolve itself. We’ve had similar things happen before.

    Except … oh wait … Dunham did not have any unusual awards, never mind a “chest full of medals”. He was only in the Army for 3-1/2 years. He went in as a private and worked as a supply sergeant during the war in Europe, then got out. The article says all that. And NOWHERE does it recount ANY awards, not even the ones everyone got for enlisting during war time.

    IOW, the TITLE (the big thing people notice and the part that gets put into the URL) is a TOTAL LIE.
