I was looking at old photos recently and I saw one of my children and their 8 little cousins on Easter Sunday around 1991. They looked so cute all dressed up and they were sitting on a car parked in front of my house, waiting for Gorbachev and his wife to come out of the house across the street, which is the residence of the President of the University of Richmond. The Gorbachevs were at the campus for some kind of function and we knew they were having lunch with the UR president and his wife. Everyone was so excited and he and Raisa were kind enough to have the car they were riding in stop so they could wave at the children. By then, most people seemed to be feeling rather kindly toward Gorbachev around here.

“So far, no arrests have been made.” I ‘spect this Dad, catching the sicko in the act, has got total “heat of the moment” justification going for him. He faces a grand jury. He should get a medal.
What that little girl will have to bear cannot be assuaged by knowing that Daddy himself delivered immediate and ultimate justice, but in coming years, may that knowledge bring some comfort to her.

I think these ads have been pretty good, but I wonder who is seeing them. Are they on shows like American Idol, or whatever the popular shows are? Or are they just web-based? I’m not sure the web-based ones go very far in changing minds to be honest. I suppose they are just meant to lift up the faithful for the fall.

I think they’re designed for people to post on Facebook and other social media. It’s an easy way to get lots of views without paying the bazillions of dollars it would cost to buy ad time on the networks.

Cool! … I’ve been thinking about the remark the pollsters made that the NC results might be an aberration. “That seems like an unrealistically low share of African-American voters for Obama.”
Another possibility is that the Black Conservative voices, like ZoNation, are being heard and believed. I’m eager to see more polls come out about this.
