Liberals love death taxes because they do not think it is fair that anyone should get to keep money that someone else earned, even a parent,except of course for the govtment.
They fail to take into account what this does to family businesses.
I had friends who had to sell their beautiful home on 6 acres in order to keep the family business when his Dad died, which the son had been working in for 20 years. He had to pay the
taxman and buy out his brother no longer wanted to work.

Granddad taught me how to shoot a gun.He told me never,ever point a gun at anything you don’t intend to kill.I used to have signs in all my windows warning that these premises were armed..there was nothing here worth dying for.I never got robbed.

In grad school, I lived in a bad neighborhood. My mom had complained about me keeping a dog, because it meant I had to go out on the mean streets to walk him.
My prof sent me to the police to get some data for his research. So I asked the cop about my mother’s concerns.
He said, “What kind of dog?”
“German Shepherd.”
“Nobody will bother you.”
He was so right. One time, my dog started barking at some guy from half a block away. The guy BACKED UP and yelled did I have the dog under control. I yelled back that I had him on a leash. And I let him keep barking.
I also found a poster of a German Shepherd and made a really big Beware of the Dog sign for my door. I hated that apartment and the neighborhood. It was all I could afford. But nobody bothered me.

Our farm had a long gravel driveway leading to the house and the barns.We didn’t bother about unwanted visitors because the dogs would let you know somebody was around.We got a Doberman pup from some family friends when she was 12 weeks old because they were moving and couldn’t take her with them.She’d never seen a black person.When Heidi was about a year old I took her with me in the truck to deliver some produce in town.We came to a stop light and a black guy was crossing the street.She went wild.Laid her ears back,bared her teeth and snarled loudly.Fortunately,the window was only rolled down a few inches,so she couldn’t get out.We had a lot of visitors at the farm and she’d never acted that way.
The guy was so startled you could see the white all the way around his eyes.After that I never took her with me,but we never worried about minorities behaving badly around our home.
