In 2004, President George W. Bush broke all records for presidential time spent fundraising for re-election. At the time Democrats hit him hard for it.
Obama has far surpassed Bush’s record. And American taxpayers are footing the bill.

I like Paul Ryan, so I am not meaning to disparage him here, but I had thought that Romney was already pulling about 3.5 million a day anyway for the past couple of months. Maybe these were small donors, instead of the big shots that have been the main donors to Romney up to this point.

My understanding is that the 3.5 is not the total, it’s just what he hauled in online.

That makes sense then.

My point in the graphic was to contrast Obammers’ desperate fundraising pace with R&R raking in bucks doing nothing but being good candidates.
It crossed my mind last night that, between fundraising, income redistribution, borrow and spend “stimulus”, and fast and fancy party and vacay schedule, Show Me The Money sums up Obama’s presidency quite well.

Hi. Anything notable happen while I was out?
What? Oh, yeah, I did happen to catch that tidbit about the GOP VP.
Thought the PoliNationals would like this:
Romney-Ryan: The ticket for people who like people who know what the hell it is they’re doing.
More than ever, no question about it, in a fair election, it would be R&R by the loudest landslide in history. Color me practical, not pessimistic, though, when I say between now and when Romney puts his hand on that Book of Mormon to take the oath, there’s to many ways our fragile system could be corrupted, and lots of folks intending just that.
Ah, here’s another bit I wanted to share, from Kevin Jackson:
The Liberals were going to have a negative reaction to whomever Romney picked for VP. But Romney’s pick of Paul Ryan is a real slap in the face of the Liberals who would do anything to extend the job of America’s failed half-black president. Can you say “race card?”
In today’s politically-correct environs, it takes male genitalia the size of Alaska to put two “lily white guys” on the ticket….

I’m just basking in the fact that the party that reviled Al Smith for his Catholic faith in 1928 has now got a Mormon and a Catholic on the top ticket. We’ve come a long way! 🙂

From Kevin Jackson
Ryan has a budget plan; something Obama is sorely lacking, and a brain, something Biden is sorely lacking.”
With Ryan on board, Obama can no longer set the election strategy. Worse yet, Obama knows that the time has come to defend his dismal record, as if that is remotely possible. Romney now has Ryan to brag about him, a qualified wing man, who will grab much of the headlines and spotlight leading into the RNC convention and beyond.
“Hey America, did you know how successful my boss has been? The other guy hitting on you is mortgaged to the hilt and most of his friends are in JAIL!”
