All I can say is ‘wow.’ I sat through the whole thing yesterday(it’s good being retired) as I watched,I couldn’t help but think of how markedly different this convention will be from the one next week.Like going from Realville to Fantasy Island.Anyone the least bit objective had to come away with a positive attitude.
The left,predictably,would be oozing bile from every pore,if reptiles had pores.Right after the speeches ended,I flipped over to MSDNC and Tom Brokejaw,Tingles and Butch were griping nobody gave a shoutout to the military.If that’s all they have,they’re really grasping at straws.The Newsbusters website is rife with articles of generic conservative-bashing by the leftists,but I won’t waste your time posting any of it.You’ve heard it all before,you’ll no doubt hear it again.I’m posting a thread with links to last night’s speeches(you knew I would) and they’re all worth watching.If you have limited time,I highly recommend watching Mia Love,Chris Christie and especially Ann Romney,who was stunning.

I was not watching Fox, I was on CSPAN, so I missed this. Good thing because I might have thrown something thru the TV! Why do liberals always think Moms who stay home are “taken care of”. WE are the caretakers! It is like Hillary saying she could have stayed home baking cookies!
I gave up my own career, in a job I loved, to stay home and take care of my family for over 20 years. It was a tiresome and often lonely job, and not getting my own paycheck was hard on me, especially since I had worked so hard to put myself though college.. But I know my family was better off, even though my salary would have allowed us to buy more “things”. I have never regretted this choice and I have never come down on women who choose to work and raise their families (though I have no idea how they can juggle it all, unless they have an amazing hubbie of course).
For Williams to imply that Ann Romney was a kept woman, when she was the one taking care of 6 males just infuriates me!

Amen to that, GP. All mothers, whether they earn a paycheck or not, should be turned off by the scorn that the left heaps on motherhood… well, not all motherhood…. they seem to like the unmarried mothers who are on welfare and food stamps and living in public housing. The rest of us, they despise.

If people only had a clue how the media censors what they show us.
It reminds me of how excited I was after attending a tea party rally in Chicago that was attended by thousands of people, of all races. I flipped through the local news stories that night and could not find anything but cynical reporting. They even showed the rally after it was over, when only a few people were milling around to imply is was poorly attended. Meanwhile, about the same time, Code Pink did a Bush Bashing rally that attracted about 20 people and it was headlines.
And people chide us for watching “Faux news”.
