    My (old but familiar) paint program has a nice screen grabber with several options, but this is handy. ¡Gracias al unido-con-guión! (“United-with-hyphen”? I wonder if freetranslation is just putting me on.)

    It was years before an accidental Win-D led me to realize that the Windows button does stuff besides pop up the Start menu. What else don’t I know about Windows after umpitty years of using it (and being used by it)?

    I can’t wait to try this. I was on a great webinair last night and I really wanted some of the graphics! Does this work with powerpoint webinairs?

      No idea. It works with Paint and Photoshop and Word, so my guess is it will work with anything that can accept a Paste from your whatchamacallit … clipboard? That place where “Copy” put things. That’s what Print Screen does … put a picture of what’s on the monitor on to … in? your clipboard thingie-do. As you can see, I am SO highly qualified to be giving geeky puter advice. ::snort::

      Oh wait … you were talking about taking graphics that webinair was showing. (I googled webinair AFTER answering. Duh me!) Yes, sure. It’ll grab what EVER is on your monitor (except the cursor). Important thing is to adjust your monitor so you see what you want. I assume you know how to scroll. Do you also know how to zoom in and out with Control Plus and Control minus? That can really help you get the best image. The screen grab is low res, so if you fill up the monitor with what you want, you’ll get the best reproduction.

    Hmm, I guess my hubby’s airheadedness has been a blessing. I explained and showed him how to do this at least three times, but he couldn’t remember long enough to do it at his own computer which you know is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay downstairs. Lots of time for doorways and random energy waves from alien space craft to SUCK knowledge from his brain. So I made this graphic and sent it to his printer, on to cardstock. NOW he has no excuse! LOL I just threw it up here cuz I had it and thought, what the hey. I loved learning it, use it ALL the time, so maybe it would help someone else. How nice it has! :)))

      Thanks for the advice. I just hope I can remember it when I get on the next webinair!
      I did not know about zoom in and out. I also have had problems in the past finding things that go to clipboard.
      I need a tutor!(or a teenager)

        I’ve been doing a little trick that seems to work with my ain’t getting any younger grey cells. I choose one or two functions I want to memorize and put them on a 3×5 card and tape it above the monitor as a cheat sheet until I realize I don’t need to look any more, then I pick another one or two and make a new card.

    On a Mac, a screenshot is command→shift→3. I mention this just in case someone here other than me uses a Mac.
